About beliefs, some people believe evolution never happened, even though we have massive amounts of evidence for it. They are wrong, fossil evidence proves it, but they still believe it. In my church and in many we only apply the new. You cannot always prejudice towards a subject. That’s illogical. Its the same as saying "All church’s don't accept homosexuality" it simply doesn't ring true.

@revron77 Well that contradicts just about everything you said in your previous post, also looking at the majority you might get another picture than taking your local church as a firm guideline. OT might not fit as a whole; your moral teachings and creation-myth, which just happens to be the foundation of Christianity isn't taken from the book you are supposed to follow. I understand that. My concern is twofold.
One, too many people, Atheist, Agnostic, and Christian, all hold up parts of the Old Testament as if we're still supposed to follow it.
Two, too many people try to play God by imposing their own moral judgments on Him, instead of accepting God's judgment.
God, if He exists, must be right and just, by definition. If God is morally flawed, then, by definition, God cannot be God, and that is nonsensical.

1) Those are NOT facts. Those are your BELIEFS.
2) Religion doesn't try to explain anything. That's the job of Science.
3) I abhor religion. I am a theist who adheres to NO religion.
4) If you choose to not believe in God, that's your choice. But again, that's your BELIEF, which you can neither prove or disprove.
5) All I ask, as a theist, is the same right; to believe or disbelieve in God as I choose. You want that right, why not grant it to others?

In my church and in many we only apply the new. You cannot always prejudice towards a subject. That’s illogical. Its the same as saying "All church’s don't accept homosexuality" it simply doesn't ring true.
The fact is the old doesn't apply in todays world thus applying the old testament as if it was used today doesn't fit the motto of Christianity as a whole.
Too many people are uneducated on the subject and then it leads to ignorance. And that lives within all man.

OT might not fit as a whole; your moral teachings and creation-myth, which just happens to be the foundation of Christianity isn't taken from the book you are supposed to follow. You're right. I'm not a Christian. Because from what I see, Christians are too busy being Pharisees, doing what the Pharisees did, focusing on rules and regulations instead of following God.

Please tell me how you reached this conclusion.
Are you saying that only Christians go to Heaven? If so, does that mean Jesus goes to hell, since people weren't called Christians until after his death?
Are you saying that only people who go to Church will go to Heaven? What if I tell you that I believe we cannot go to Church, because the Church is not a building that will be torn down someday?

if you actually had a vague undderstanding of christianity you would understand that they believe the old testament was written and filled with local laws so people would follow them were as the new testament is supposed to be an unbiased representation of gods views.
