And as far as Submissions go, Knee Bars are a bitch to pull off. Lesnar lost becuase he's inexperienced, cocky and has no technic. Flailing around throwing hammerfists may work against Heath Herring, but you're just going to end up tapping if you try that shit against a Sub-Specialist like Mir.

ok i do know he is a submission specialist and yes brock was cocky in that first fight but do you realise that most the submissions are made on the ground in a fight ? what is mir gonna do if brock doesnt fall for it in this fight what if brock decided to just send him on his ass and not get ontop of him n use hammer fists because he knows now that mir could pull a submission on the ground from nowhere he could just avoid mir when he has him on the ground n beat mir by knockout or points

Well I think that would be an intelligent strategy on Lesnar's part. And I'd earn respect for him if that happened. Unfortunately, I don't think Lesnar has the humility to recognize his shortcomings or the forsight to strategize to compensate for them.

But even he could, Mir is still a very adaptable fighter, and who too likely would have learnt from his mistakes. Especially as of late he's been working on his striking and was even able to down Nog with it.

if brock did use that strategy then i like his chances who knows maybe he has learnt a bit more since his fight with randy brock may not be the brightest man in the sport but that strategy isn't exactly rocket science lol but you also make a very good point about mir and his striking altho he has improved alot in that he can physically go toe to toe with brock he even said himself he couldnt so it and his speed isnt gonna help much either cos brocks speed is unreal for his size plus longer reach

Yeah, I'd generally agree with that.

Brock has a lot of good things going for him. He's not a bad fighter, just an inexperienced one. He still needs time to understand the mechanics of the sport, to fine-tune. Mir is the weaker, smaller and even slower fighter, but he's spent more time doing MMA. He knows how to handle himself in more situations, and he has a broader understanding of what works and what doesn't

You can only develop that with time and Brocks only been at it for about a year

yeah thats basically what he needs he needs to understand the sport more he should also try and use a bit of defense every now and again instead of just charging at his opponents at the start of every fight also if he were smart because of his strength he should try n learn more about submission cos it would be hard to break a hold from him anyway really looking forward to lesnar vs mir 2 i was so annoyed when it got postponed been waiting months to see it now
