hey keep playing it like you want brother. forget this cat that thinks strings are not good. you play the way you are lead, you never know how or what your music does to someone who is listening. the strings might be the key element that helps move them. God uses everything for his purpose and glory. God bless wonderful playing
I tend to want to agree with EvangelistGreen although I believe everyone has their choice of sound, but in terms of aesthetics I think sometimes the strings can take away....just sometimes. On another note I absolutely love Jetton Barnes playing, his touch, his chord structures and just his overall sensibility to playing these types of songs, truly gifted!

People will buy Motif over Nord because it seems like every gospel pianist is using them. The reason they're using them is because there financially stimulated by Yamaha. Nord doesn't do that..
Well, Nord isn't really a big and famous brand as much as Yamaha and Roland, and keyboardist buy a keyboard for it's piano sound mostly, Nord is only good for organ and rhodes sounds.
Yamaha is king when it comes to piano & rhodes. Korg has excellent strings & synth sounds. Roland has a fairly decent piano, but not the best. Todays musicians are looking 4 the closest sound to the real thing!
