@210482fm. They sound the same but they do not look the same. it looks weird the only way to get it to work correctly is to lower the resolution. This is in my experience I had a laptop and a Mac mini both with HDMI out that go in to the tv and they look horrible on full hd. If u are looking for a screen for your computer buy a monitor. if you miss the tv function you can go buy a USB tv tuner in windows vista and 7 you have windows media center so you can record tv on your computer.

is there much difference in quality between hd pc monitors and hd tvs with the same 1080p resolution. I know in the old days a crt tv was always much lower quality than a pc crt monitor and it was really noticable. Today hd monitors and hd tvs seem pretty much the same resolution. the only thing that sucks is that many hd tvs still dont have dvi pc input and only rgb pc connector input. is there any real difference between quality between a hd tv and hd pc monitor for pc use

@cocie4en4 you need to but a hdmi separate no pc moniter comes with that only a vga.... just find one online somewhere on ebay or amazon for a cheap price!
