To the OS comment, I'll just say meh... I don't feel like arguing about it atm.

As for the hardware... just yesterday I had to go to Best Buy to help my mom buy a computer. There was a PC laptop with 4 GBs of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive for $500 less than the Macbook with 2 GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive. Literally twice the hardware for $500 less. And the PC had a better processor, bigger screen, higher res webcam, anything you can think of. So... yeah.
