  • Wow God bless those geeps that blow by there, its amazing how they were manufactured so that they still have not lost their performance. Especially the one at 6:35, he just throttled up and sped away!

  • great vid man, seems busy down there

  • 4686 had a P3 horn. thats rare for CSX.

  • I think that's because it used to be an EMD demostrator unit. It's somewhat common for demonstrator units to have three-chime horns. That is rare for CSX, though.

  • youre right. i learned later that there are several late 4600 CSX units that were these demonstrator units, and they all have P3s.

  • Wow! Very Nice! I see at 3:19 the trailing locomotive was the "Spirit of something

  • I wish I was! Im actually in Winter Park, Florida and all we have is CSX and the shortline Florida Central

  • is there a chance you can tell me the secrets to a great production like this? I want to film the BNSF EX CB&Q from Minneapolis to chicago documenting the varitety of power and trains ! I also want to throughly document the locals and the branch to galesburg the film would end at halsted street in chicago right at the end of the ex CB&Q. after traveling the ST.croix aroura and chicago subs! but i need the right camera/tripod and techniques to do it.

  • nice vid... is your cam the palm sized ones?

  • Its small, but not that small.

  • yea they call it palm sized but really it hand sized or little bigger right? that cost $250-500 right?

  • Its Hand Sized yes, but the Camera cost a little under $2,000 (It's a Sony A1-U). I don't own it yet, but soon hope to!

  • Very nice video! The CSX action was great!

  • Nice collaboration there. It looked like a lot of the locomotives at Mulberry couldn't handle the heat and humidity as they are rusting away.

  • Nice video, Thomas. Gotta love the FRN getting in your shot at Mulberry.

  • Whats even better is when he comes up to you telling you everything and you make a come back saying "Thank you, but I do my own narration! LOL!

  • great video, great catch's!

  • Nice Video Quality, What tpye of Camera do you use?

  • Its actually not my camera, but I soon hope to change that. I was actually just loaned to me by a friend to see if it would work for filming trains. The camera is a Sony HDV A1-U. Its small, yet gets the job done as you can see. I hope to have one by the summer!
