  • Anyone know where Natasha is now? Does she still suffer from an eating disorder?

  • Okay I mean I do understand that they are getting good help and all, but why make them eat those things ? like deepfried crap and everything, why not just help them lead a healthy lifestyle ???

  • @jonathora They have to force them to eat those things because they're generally considered to be fear foods when you have an eating disorder. And obviously it's not healthy to eat them every single day, but eating fried foods and desserts on occasion is a normal part of life and they're trying to teach them to look at all foods in a normal way, not just safe and healthy foods. They need to learn that it isn't going to hurt them to indulge sometimes.

  • @SomedayBroadway101 Okay, thank you for that :) and I hope you recover from your ED, take care!

  • @jonathora I know this because I have an eating disorder as well. If I entered a treatment center and my calorie intake was only increased by healthy foods, there's no way I would ever recover. Because those are the foods I eat now, I just eat them in small amounts. You have to change an ED patient's way of thinking and the only way to do that is by making them confront their worst fear foods.

  • When my boyfriend broke up with me, I no longer felt good enough and became anorexic

  • @GypsyMyDog cool

  • Society is fucked up. I don't want to live on this planet any more.

  • @brunettevideos Welcome to reality

  • You don't really mind if you die to be honest because you are not not happy anyway ...

  • I remember watching this on TV when I had done a week on just a bowl of special K with skim milk... Brings back memories.

  • If the workers could just sit there and not eat anything. I would refuse to eat anything. Well actually I'm already not eating anything. But I guarantee this.....no one would get me to eat if I didn't want too.....

  • That Breakfast looks really good!!

  • I developed a stress caused case of IBS and virtually stopped eating and lost 40 pounds in 6 months...thankfully I had 40 pounds to lose but after a point I started freaking out because I was so scared my body would keep losing the weight and I'd get sick and emaciated....that's the psychological difference between weight loss and anorexia....

  • I went and read about this place (Rhodes farm) there's two other houses that are part and of the organization that they belong to. The other two houses are for those with enduring and difficult to treat eating disorders I'm betting Naomi was transferred to one of those but maybe not just guessing.

  • I wonder where they are now...... Seriously they should comment letting us know they're alright! We genuinely care about them :) (or at least I do) xoxo

  • Crackers are 12 in each..

  • why dont they just exercise?

  • @gunboundph1 Your dumb..............

  • @killer21241 well your fat

  • @gunboundph1 No im skinny, why would someone trying to GAIN waight exercise??? Answer me that one dumass

  • @killer21241 instead of not eating they could just exercise to lose weight fuck face

  • @gunboundph1 WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT IF THEY ARE DIEING FROM BEING TO SKINNY!!!!!!!!!!KGHUIODSHJVGUOSJIS haha nvm i miss read your comment. I see what you were saying at first.

  • @gunboundph1 because they have anorexia, it's a mental disorder. Exercising is not enough for them.

  • @superalex381 How do you know she's doing well? Do you know her personally or something? I'm just curious :)

  • why didnt u make the subtitles in english?

  • so sad!! growing up is so hard

  • How are these kids doing now ??? I hope they are well...!

  • I wonder if Naomi is still alive...?

  • @Singing4Him4ever ya she is and well :)

  • :( I want to be thought of as freakishly skeletal :(

  • @tinyvamp0120 me too

  • Man I can't even fathom how these girls can be anorexic- they need to try a funnel cake or curly fries; HOW CAN YOU TURN DOWN CURLY FRIES?! I can't even imagine! Poor girls

  • @Ladyhorde Because.. Curly fries have too many calories per serving... That's how.

  • sorry I mean rhodes farm *

  • how tall are they? I mean to know how much they have to weight ..... it's not so good to gain 1 kilo in a week ... they need to gain not so much in just one week! I don't know how this word is called in english but in germany we say that it's healthy to gain to the 25. BMI Perzentile ... It must be very hard to be at rodes farm ... I hope they really recover!

  • @uncompleted1 some of them have a bmi of 14 or less

  • @missXtaC yes that's right i know but i mean the BMI they have with their target weight.

  • woah! top comment haha

  • @hopingforfame101 have you never heard of google..?

  • They shouldn't let the girls see how much they weigh! at my eating disorder clinic, they don't let me or any of the girls see. every week we do a blind weigh in and our parents are instructed to throw away every scale in the house. but i can relate SO much to everything these girls are saying. hope they get better <3

  • People say about there feeding this girls too much but if they dont eat they will die, most of the girls admitted could die at any min. Considering someone who i knew has recently die of ana , she wanted to beat this and now its beaten her.

  • idk wat stones is. i wish i was british so i can translate that to lbs.

  • @hopingforfame101 ~ There are 14lbs in a stone. So 2 stone is 28lbs...

  • @mandaandoisin omg thats crazy!

  • I don't have a problem.

  • its a shame that i want this so bad. i want to look like them so bad.

  • @TheRealNormaSerna me too :/

  • Anorexia is never cured no matter what its always there. we dont feel like we have a problem but everyone else does, and you can say that oyu understand but you dont not unless you have lived it.

  • ive had anorexia problems since i was ten, i was sent into rehab when i was 12 and im doing better but i still have the lurking thoughts in my head everytime i eat how much weight im going to gain. without my boyfriend i would probably be in rehab again.

  • i worry i will never recover.

  • @highwastedgenes it is possible so if you want recovery then dont give up yet. my adopted sister was days from dying when we got her because of anorexia. now she is married and a healthy weight and happy with food. it dosent scare her anymore

  • @highwastedgenes Recovery is possible, even though it never feels like it is. If you ever need someone to talk to, message me; I'll try to help. <3 stay strong

  • I was sent to the hospital when I was 9 with anorexia, I'm almost 19 and I still struggle with it . . . It's no f%cking joke

  • They should smoke some weed

  • Oh no! When she was describing the person that would most likely have anorexia it described me! I noticed that I suck my stomach in all the time. I'm just like Dana .

  • of victims or real diseased victims have them come in show them what it is to be a vegetable at such a young as much as I may sound like a cold heartless bitch just know I had their problem in my teens n realized how I was hurting myself in the long run it's completely mental n honestly I give a shit I'd rather scare you to death n have u live another day than to have u slip away n mourn u later.

  • I know America supposedly has gone to hell but from what I can see britain has more severe problems 12yr old anorexics how the hell does that happen seriously I dnt believe this shit is an illness it's completely mental it can become a physical illness later on from damage done to the body it's a mindset a compulsive mind set rising from personal insecurities what these girls need is a wake up call to reality of their situation even if that means scaring them to consciousness show them vids of

  • What she needs is, 1 1/2 cups raw Rhubarb cut fine 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 1 egg 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 cup applesauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups flourProcedure: In large mixing bowl cream sugars and butter, add egg and salt. Stir in applesauce, soda, vanilla, and flour. Add rhubarb. Pour in prepared 9x13x2-inch baking pan and sprinkle with 1/4 cup white sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Bake at 375-degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • I always used to think I was the same age as Naomi is, but I actually just realized I would have been 12 in the summer of 2006, same as Briony and Natasha. My eating disorder started the fall of 2006, so around the time they were being let out of Rhodes farm and everything.

  • When was this actually filmed

  • i know mental illness are serious, cause i have one ( ocd)

but don't you think a house with no mirror available is good for Anorexic sufferer?? and BTW do anti-depression work with anorexic patients ?? anyone???

  • i wonder how all the girls are now. natasha or naomi. Bryony fautured on Dana the 8 yr old anorexic and was still recovered then, but I wonder about the other two.

  • My disorder started really young, too, but being an adult, and still suffering, it breaks my heart to see these kids go through this.

  • @soubrette87 :(

  • I developed anorexia afew months ago because of my mum. She was a previous bulimic and at the moment she is 5"6 and just under 7 stone,

  • "people at school already said i was skinny... but i wanted to see it for myself.. so i stopped eating.... and you still don't see it" this is so freaking true!

  • Oh god I can relate to this so much. :/

  • Whoever is interested about the real cause of anorexia should really check out psychoanalyst Lacan’s theory about it. Anorexia isn’t about wanting to be thin and pretty, it’s not about fear of growing up or the media effects at all, it’s about putting a limit to mothers or whoever plays the mother role. Anorexic’s mothers are so peculiar in different ways. They eat their kids metaphorically and so anorexia is the only way to put a stop to that.

  • @isabel042085 I disagree. I suffer from Anorexia and my mother isn't really even in my life, and she is very loving when I do see her.. Eating Disorders are different for every individual.

  • @AProtestToThinToRead You’re right; Eating Disorders are different for every person. I’m a psychoanalyst and I work at a clinic for people who suffer from an E.D. I too suffered from anorexia, and this theory seemed absurd at first but over the years I’ve seen it to prove itself right. A person doesn’t need to be physically with you to be in your life and in some cases it’s not the biological mother but the person who plays that role and in most cases the mother is loving, sometimes too loving.

  • Anorexia's look normal weight to me :/

I hope these girls are all better now

  • What r stones

  • @ashleybcat23 a measurement like pounds

  • @ashleybcat23 - 1 stone is equal to 14 pounds. It is NOT a "measurement like pounds."

  • ryvita crackers also have more than 13 calories, its more like 35 or something

  • Porridge has way more that 46kcal. That's like 1/2 an ounce of porridge oats mixed with pure water. Of course, it's probably better I don't tell her that....

  • Anyone ever though of using NLP to help rid the negative beliefs associated with this disorder. Hell turning to Jesus for guidance is even better

  • in spanish please??????

  • omg very sad

  • I hope all these girls are doing really well and are thriving. I soOo very much hope they are, cuz I love them all.

  • poor girls

  • i have a friend thats anorexic, and i really wish i could help her somehow, but i just feel i cant, cause i really dont understand her...

  • @nadunadi I know exactly how you feel me and my friends where do worried about my friend that we actually told her mom she was acting weird and not her self dont leave it too late <3

  • paper tree gun , you are dumb , thats all I have to say . I had it , Its like being scitzo . so eff up and eff of ha

  • I'm recovered =] Can I see yo hands in the air?!! Woohooo!

  • MMMNNNNEXXT! How annoying >.<

  • how many pounds is a stone? what language is that?

    this is scary sh*t

  • @jafas115 I stone is roughly about 14 pounds. A lot of times people reffer to their weight in stones because the # is smaller, to say you weigh 9 stone instead of 128 pounds. Plus most anorexia documentarys are done in teh UK(hence their acent), and they use stones for body weight. I'm not shure the language, it might be spanish? If I'm wrong someone please correct me. :)

  • @fujimorimomoyia thanks. =)

  • having anorexia is the worst thing!, never is good enough and never you're skinny... I'm tryiong to let it go... to not think about it... BUT IT'S IMPOSSIBLE.... 4 YEARS... 4!

  • @unikwale also on a starvation diet, you lose muscle along with the fat, so no matter how thin you go there's always a bit of you that sags.... That just fuels the disorder further

  • OH MY GOSH. ITS A MIRACLE, SOMETHING NOT IN GERMAN O.O

  • @papertreegun you are very obviously close minded . If it were that simple then why do so many people die from this . It's a mental illness , not a life choice !

  • @Jesscukable very very true.

  • @Sophiewdi (: yeah the close mindedness of some poeple blows me away ! My friend is literally dying from the diesease , and I am myself recovered , so it's painful to hear such ridiculous opinions . I feel asthough if someone has been affected by anorexia , either dierctly or indierctly , their opinon would be very very different . When you watch someone , or yourself , fade away before your eyes , you realise that anorexia is bigger than a want to be thin .

  • @Jesscukable You people are really annoying....everything nowadays is not a choice and totally out of our control...yea right. LIFE IS ABOUT CHOICES. They are somethings we cannot control I agree however behavior is something we all can control, unless we are born with a mental defect. This anorexia "disease" is a learned behavior therefore it can be controlled.

  • @papertreegun Have YOU ever been anorexic ? ever lost anyone to anorexia ? Do you believe personality disorder , or depression can be controlled ?! People who have anorexia have a predisposition for it , so therefore , mentally there is something that triggers it . Its a compulsion , and obsession , and could be easily related to an addiction of sorts . .

  • @Jesscukable Where are you getting all this from? They have a predisposition for anorexia? How do you know their genetic background? And plz tell why its often a group of friends that starve themselves to fit into a bikini for spreak break and not people from the same family. Sounds like a cultural thing to me, something people see others doing and decide to imitate them. If you are brought up in a culture where body image wasnt the centre of your universe then I know these things wont happen.

  • @papertreegun - You do not understand what you're trying to argue because you do not have the education or the experience. I can tell by your comments. Anorexia is a SYMPTOM of a genetic disposition. There is research being done that may show that those who have these obsessive illnesses may be on the autistic spectrum. They are certainly on an OCD spectrum. You really need to learn because I've studied for years and it would take too long to explain it to someone who hasn't an idea.

  • @papertreegun genes aren't always expressed but can still be present e.g. 2 people brown hair/brown eyes can have children with brown hair/brown eyes & potentialy have 1 with blue eyes/red hair despite no red hair/blue eyed parents. As for socialy its rare to get a group that becomes anorexic together however, its been shown similar genetics like to group together, same with intelligence, anorexics are generally above normal intelligence. Intelligence is heavily influenced by genetics

  • @Jesscukable people may have a predisposition and some may not. we really don't know 100% about that.

  • @papertreegun How can a child , who is hearing a voice in their head that is essentially controlling their everymove , block the voice out ? Its sooo much more than not eating , and maybe one day , you may find out the hard way of what this disease does , it ruins lives . If it is sooo easily controlled then why do people continue relapsing for decades ? there sooo much more to it than vanity , grow up . YOU should try being harrassed by your own mind . see how you like it .

  • @Jesscukable What are you talking about, what other voice in your head is there except for your own? Again you people are blaming a third party for your own actions. Sigh listen for anoxerics the emotional pain of looking fat and feeling disgusting is much worse than the pain accompanied by starving yourself to achieve a small slender frame. What these people lack is basic self control, they give into every impulse, they are very sensitive to what others think.Again thisis cultural programming.

  • @papertreegun The other voice is basically your conscience. Like when you do something wrong/bad and there's a niggling voice in your head telling you that you're stupid/bad. And people with anorexia clearly have a lot of self control - try going for days, sometimes weeks without eating/drinking anything but water.

  • @papertreegun - That "other voice" is the "chatter" of everything you've heard that tells you, you are somehow "wrong." You have it too! Everytime you hear criticisms. Everytime you're bullied. Everytime you hear the words of so-called "authority," the church, your parents, anything that is not your inner voice. That is why people meditate. To clear out that chatter put there by others. It may be a bit more than you are ready to understand but when you get older, you may learn.

  • @papertreegun I completely disagree with you. This is an illness, thats like saying people with cancer should just die. Its not right! Whether is mental or physcial its still an illness.

  • @papertreegun That really hurts my feelings. and I don't even have an eating disorder. I'm sorry you feel so bad about yourself that you have to hurt other people to make yourself feel better. I hope you find value in yourself, as much value as these precious girls have.

  • @papertreegun People like you should, just once in their life, get a mental disease to know what it feels like. No one choses to be anorectic or depressive. Eating disorders have nothing to do with vanity. You have no idea how hard it is to fight such a disease. You don't want to hear that eating disorders (just like, for example, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, depression or disposition to addictions) are a genetic issue, and insult people that try to explain that. I feel sorry for you.

  • @TakeOffYourColoursxx don't feed the troll! No pun intended. He's just a dickhead looking for attention.

  • Why do I keep watching this?

  • @threestrikes101 It took me a while to figure it out too! It says "2st 2lbs" as in "2 st 2 lbs(pounds)" There just should be a space between the 2 and the L because the lowecase L looks like a 1. I feel ya ! It took me forever to figure it out :P

  • thinspiration. =) i wish they wouldnt make them eat, theyr so nasty, they dnt understand them grow ups, anorexia is the only friend x thanks for this vid i love it x x x x x x x x x x

  • @anamiaanaangel Im sure I could be a better friend than ANA. Talk to me if you want to. I am here and I want you to value your life :) Because it is very very Valuable!

  • @Shanda862004 very good

  • i'm a 17 year old girl and im in a adolescent mental health hospital for anorexia and its made me so much worse. i cant wait till in 18 and they will leave me alone. its so easy to fool them into thinking your okay and just eating the meals but then throwing up in your room or walking continuously in your bedroom. i hate my anorexia but i love it so much its all i have

  • @skinnybehaviour go in and receive treatment be completely honest with them and be free of this disorder

  • @skinnybehaviour - You say it is "all you have." Ask yourself "why" it is all you believe you have. I am old. You are depressed and when a person is depressed they stay in a spiral of downward thoughts. You are turning your anger on yourself because somewhere along the way, you've been taught to repress who you are. I'll let you in on something. YOU choose what you want in your life. YOU have complete control over your thoughts. You either live life whilst you're here or you waste it.

  • @NarrowMinded00 - Svo Hljótt - Sigur Ros

  • @bl0mst thank you!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow Im not anorexic, But I was anorexic when I was 10, I am now 16, last year I was at my heaviest, 5'5 145 pounds. This year I am 5'6 135 pounds about. I hope Im not starting to lapse back into Anorexia.. My Grandma always compliments my skinnyness (She says Oh you look thin, like you use to be) . and I count calories on EVERYTHING. And thing about what i will eat the next day.... I hope Im not relapsing :S

  • @Spooker007 thanks for telling us.

  • @Spooker007 I honestly feel exactly how you feel. I have a lot of anorexic thought and behaviors. It got really bad when i was about 15, but i started getting better. But every day is a constant struggle for me with food. If i eat anything that is considered bad i feel incredibly guilty about it. I walk a lot on campus. Relapsing is very scary.

  • I know what its like I went into hospital For mine back in June got discharged in aug Its same for me im Lossing weight agian ii hate ana

  • @nekokitty666 fight ana, fight it pray for strength you can do this

  • This place is horrible. Those people have no idea what they're doing. Letting the girls see their weights is aweful. And their breakfast was tiny. When I was in treatment we would never be allowed to see our weight because it made it so much harder to eat. I can't possibly list all the things wrong with this place.

  • @FreeToBe10 why ? becuase they will freak out and have anxiety attacks , no they do not need to see it

  • I fucking hate this place.. never going back there

  • @camillalouiseable then go somewhere else

  • how did these 10, 11, and 12 year olds even know about weight loss, ya know? How did they even begin to care about their weight at such a young age?

  • you poor kids, my heart goes out for you, im 33 and 5ft 2 i always was plump (chubby) when i stop eating my mom and dad would have such a nice sit down with me encouraging me talking about that what i have, i never went anorexic and never went skinny im still chubby we all have our special features. you will be in my prayers every day.

  • it's sad, beaucse they seem so clever and lovely girls, what has happened to

    britian?!

  • wow natasha could be me. I'm 13, been diognosed with anorexia 3 weeks ago and weigh 5 st 5 lbs. i feel exactly the same as how she feels. it is so hard batteling :(

  • @TheWhispa16 I've got ednos. What is your height? It's always so confusing cuz one moment you want it and the next you absolutely hate it.But you can't get rid of it.

  • @edxxlovexx i'm 5 ft 1, i'm trying to eat more and everytime i gain a pound i'm happy but i'm sad. it is very confusing but i don't think anyone especially not anorexics themselves can explain it. its a person taking over you and what started off as control turned into the food controling you.

  • @TheWhispa16 yeah, that's what the eating disorder does. It's a voice in your head telling you 'eat less eat less, you'll be a pig otherwise'etcetc.

  • I feel like they would be less likely to relapse into their anorexia if they were allowed to maintain their weights, but not gain wight. like get them to a higher weight, but not so much,

  • @RebiTitanic It's complicated though. They wouldn't make them gain loads of weight just for the sake of it. Being underweight alters the way your brain works so that actually, although anorexics think they'll feel disgusting at their target weights, they're not only happier but they also care less about being thin when they get there. That's what my consultant said and it worked for me.

  • @missgracegallagher well at the rehab place i was looking at, just seeing their methods, they said it would be gradual, but then again ive never had full-blown anorexia

  • @RebiTitanic They don't just randomly choose a weight, the target weight is determined by the age and height of the child, so they are able to get there periods back and there body to work ect.. They don't end up coming out of the clinic big at all, sometimes they still look rather small. The after care from rhodes farm is also very helpful, and makes it very hard for the child to not maintain there weight. Trust me, been there dont it!

  • @K0kidd . .. gooo fuck your self.you obviously have issues . but dont you dare tell sick kids like this are like 'whales'

  • Dee Dawson is the most annoying person on the face of the earth in every single Rhodes Farm documentary.

  • Wow these girls are extremely mature and talented. They have a lot to live for. I feel so bad for them. I hope they are much better now.

  • did that really say 2 stone 2lbs?!

  • @chiigirl93 That was under "weight to gain"

  • @chiigirl93 That was the weight she needed to gain, not the weight she was.

  • I can't believe they let them know their weight; it was always hidden at every hospital/ip unit I've been to

  • I never realized how much watching these videos can help me. I've been in remission from anorexia for about six months now. yes, i say "remission", because this is a disease much like cancer. It can never totally be cured.

  • @RealityObscured no it can be totally cured

  • @k0kidd You are obviously incredibly fat - as it is only fat people who call people who are underweight fat. I hope that you have fun being an ugly, sefl absorbed person.

  • @k0kidd god... people like you should go out and play on the freeway, and hopefully somebody would ran you over.

  • Root pop!

  • Who would not wish to be like 100 pounds .

  • @FashioniHaveSinned Depends on your height.

  • @eridaniblack and also age.

  • Love the Sigur Ros music, what a heartbreaking documentary, yet so important and educating for everyone. Thank you so much for posting, really appreciate it!

  • @bl0mst ..could you please tell me which song of Sigur Ros is used? I haven't figured that out yet..:(

  • @NarrowMinded00 se lést, i think

  • @NarrowMinded00 the music is Sæglópur by sigur ros :)

  • Hi s0mevids, Ive been at Huntercombe in Edinburgh. I was there twice in 2007. Its was crappy at the time but when I think about it now they saved my life.

  • Yes, they love perfect. However, they do not have to take control of their weight by dieting.

  • A stone is what, 14 lbs? so seven stone is 98lbs. I didn't weigh 100lbs until I was 13, give her a break! Kids are fat these days anyway. Ever think that maybe she is just thin and there's nothing wrong with that? It's all their pressure on her that's making her paranoid about her weight.

  • I don't understand the "2st" thing. I'm american.

  • @dizzlefizzle9 st stands for stone. one stone equals 14 pounds.

  • @dizzlefizzle9 2 stone=24 pounds

  • I am in recovery and am doing SO WELL.

  • I understand this. I'm overweight, but there was a point where I weighed 70 lbs less than I do now, but I still saw what I see NOW in the mirror. Sometimes your mind just cant comprehend or see the changes.
