Ra can technically b the most powerful but I think Obelisk is the best cos hes more reliable than the other gods. His power doesn't go up or down like the other two.

@227060 - Obelisk might have a set attack and defense power, but it is because Ra, and Slifer's power can be changed that makes them awesome. Especially Ra because his power does not depend on the cards in a duelists' hand. Because of Ra's special ability he can surpass Obelisk, and Slifer in power.

@CallofdutyV2 in terms of effects Ra is the most powerful but Obelisk's strength IMO lies in his reliabilty. they r all immune to spell/trap/monster effects but if the mosters u tribute 4 Ra suck u can b in trouble and Slifer is EXTREMLY dodgy. if ur opponet has a card which strikes at ur hand and a 2000+ monster 2 special summon he is screwed. its not easy to beat them but Obelisk IS the safest option, but therefore also the 1 with the least potential

@227060 - I agree with you about Slifer. I love to duel, but I have not Egyptian God monsters. If I ever get my hands on the 3, I will be VERY careful with Slifer during a duel. Ra on the other hand has phoenix mode and point to point transfer. Phoenix mode makes him invincible, and point to point transfer allows you to increase his attack points by using your life points.

@CallofdutyV2 yes but phoenix mode only works if u summon him from the graveyard which means u will have an uber monster but just for the 1 turn. What i wud do is bust out the 3 heaviest hitters in my deck and use em to get ra on the field, or get 3 weak monsters and then just keep topping up his ATK with other weak monsters. IF my opponent gets past al that (which isn't impossible), then Phoenix mode is a good bonus but I wudnt like 2 use it out of the gate if u know wat i mean

@227060 The real life Illegal card. There are the Legal Versions, and there are the Illegal ones, who have no effects written on them. But they actually have effects. There's just too much to fit it all in one card. So they didn't bother.

@thereamaning not exactly. basically the 'illegal' versions are sorta the versions from the TV show represneted in real life. they have card descriptions and stuff and can be used in iunoffical duels IF the players agree on what exactly they can do. otherwise its all up in the air. In the show Obelisk could gain Infinite atk by sacrificing 2 monsters OR deliver 4000 points of direct damage OR destroy every monster on the field (i think). other than that i think he was just immune to all effects

At their fullest potential, Ra can destroy the other Gods by paying 1000 life points, and can have tremendous attack by sacrificing more life points and your own monsters.

@Karnezar thats something that always confused me. i was led to believe the 3 gods are immune to all spell, trap and monster effects. so doesn't that include the other god cards? what about when they are in your hand or deck?

For all God cards, they are immune to traps that destroy them, and spells, no matter which one, only last one turn. Monster effects also don't effect them.

The God cards are useless in your deck/hand.

Slifer and Obelisk can use their effects on each other, meaning Slifer can shave off 2000 ATK points from Obelisk and Obelisk can destroy Slifer by sacrificing 2 monsters. Neither effect can work on Ra, though.

The only way to damage Ra is by traps/spells.

@Karnezar no the egyptian god cards are uneffective for trap/spell and monster card what targets them i mean equip spells etc but if the card's effect's target is all monster on the field example mirror force ... the god cards will be destroyed :D
