I just went there this weeekend!!!! He's so adorable ...even more in real life! I was ecstatic when he came out that stage door! oh gosh... we got an autograph he was so sweet:)
thanks!!! the play was amazing!!! he took my breath away. unfortunately i couldn't get to see him after the show bc we had to leave early. oh well, maybe another time. I am making it my mission to get his autograph!!! lol.
hahaha Awesome!! I have known daniel for quite a while he is one of my greatest friends!! I miss him so much!!!! (and No I'm not giving out his phone # and his E-mail address okay so don't ask)
It's not going to. I saw one of the first previews and it was insane (although I didn't stagedoor that time) and I also saw it the night after opening and it was crazy. People who obviously hadn't seen the show were standing there, and there were a ton of people even standing across the street. It was absolutely ridiculous.
I was there that day too, but didn't stay for more than a minute. When I came out and saw the crowd I was like oh f*** it, there's no way I'm gonna be able to see. Too much choas. I thought he did great btw, along with the rest of the cast. Gave me chills yo.
I doubt anyone will be able to provide an actual videoclip from the production. Not videotaping professionally staged productions is kind a theatre-going basic.
It's too bad, though, because I'm really interested in his performance having just read the play.
Being a NYer, I've always felt bad that most people are unable to see original productions and have to settle for traveling versions (or none). Well, things are changing. There are currently projects to archive stage productions for future generations and non-NYers. PBS has already shown some of these recordings.
See my channel for excerpts from the play, an interview and a review.
"I'm really interested in his performance having just read the play."
It's not Daniel Radcliffe, but you can rent the movie with Peter Firth in the role now played by Radcliffe. Be forewarned: Although made in 1977, the movie has male frontal nudity. Read the reviews here:
Video recording devices aren't allowed in theaters. In fact, some theaters randomly search bags. If you want to see professional excerpts from the play, go to my channel at the link below (or click on my name). You get to see a topless Daniel rubbing against another topless male. :)
this is absoutely pitiful. hes an actor, not a god. i have nothing against him at all, im really happy for him and all the fame he's gained, but because people are acting so crazy he can't even enjoy his fans. when there is concern for his and other peoples safety just so you can touch him is going too far. please people, control yourself
my thoughts exactly. Thank you stellalove09. just like going to a DANG premiere. My friends and I went to a HP premiere 3 years ago. She brought her 3 kids 2,6 and 9 and a friend who is a paraplegic and me and let me tell you NOBODY in our group had fun. I got spit on one time by some skanky fan. Thank goodness someone near me had some wet wips with them and gave me one. NEVER AGAIN will we go to another premiere. We don't care who it is. These celebrities are just people like us.
Hahah! That's me! I'm the guy who was yelling "Sign my poster, Daniel Radcliffe!" and "Face me like a Griffindor!"....He didn't sign my poster in the end...
People need to show their admiration some other way than scream. It's onmoxious and undessary and I know for a fact that he really doesn't like the screaming. He's a person just like everybody else. Peopele get a life.
Jealous much? If he's 5'4, he makes being tall look ugly. And who cares if he's Jewish or not. So not only are you rude, you're now also racist. Great life you live.
HarveyCartwright wrote: "And he has a tiny penis unlike Peter Firth"
And that matters to you because? What a shame that you'd prefer to concentrate on an actor's genitalia, appearance and perceived religion rather than his/her acting.
Pretty sad, actually. You should get some help for your insecurity and unresolved sexual issues. Regardless, people clearly disagree with you. Just look at your Thumbs Down rating and Radcliffe's international fanbase.
HarveyCartwright, one more unconstructive negative comment and you will be blocked. If you want to comment on Radcliffe's acting ability, then fine, but there will be no anti-semetism on this page. Just to set you straight, although it wouldn't be a bad thing if he did, Radcliffe himself does not follow Judaism, however his mother is Jewish.
Since you're such a great fan you must know the only reason Radcliffe was cast was because the producers knew it would ensure the play's success by bringing all his stupid teenage fans to see it. They were always aware that he isn't a real actor and would never be as good as Peter Firth.
I haven't seen the movie, so I can't comment on Radcliffe's acting compared to Firth. Its hard for anyone to live up to a great original cast, but have you actually seen Radcliffe play Alan Strang? I have and imho he did a very good job(and I've seen a lot of broadway shows). I admit that Radcliffe's star power probably was a factor in hiring him (this is a business after all), but that doesn't mean he didn't rise to the task.
Heck, sexual frustration and jealousy is probably what's causing your reaction. So how does it feel to have your posts blocked because they received so many thumbs down? Looks like few people will see your bitterness. Oh well! hahaha
I wonder what time he came out the door. I was at the play and stood around for a while. (Same side as the photographer in the video but several rows back).
Eventually I gave up because I was never going to get that close to the front. However I did see his Mom sitting two rows in front of me. She's very short but he looks like her, especially the eyes. (That is NOT a Harry Potter reference. Mrs. Radcliffe has large eyes like her son's.)
after every show during previews, the entire cast and crew sit down with the director and they discuss what went well and what needs improvement for the next night's show...this probably caused the delay in him coming out...IM SEEING EQUUS SATURDAY!!!! =D
omg! i was so there! i'm in the front row of the baracades in the gray dress with the curly blonde hair! it was my bday and he wished me a happy one. he was SOOOO nice. <3 best day of my life.
WOW I've never seen so many people at a stage door. Dan is very nice to sign autographs, first because that was scary! with everyone screming and pushing, and second because he is very tired after the play, it's a very demanding role. I've read he was brilliant in the show, congratulations!

Actually it was made in 1976, and films in the 1970s had more sex and nudity than films today.
