I think the guy was commenting on your rear lights because...in reality...it's just plain dangerous. In low visibility circumstances it's pretty bad for motorists behind you.

@canuckaholic91 u cant respect every mod that's done to a car, some will conflict with your own tastes, others may be a hazard to yourself or other motorists. Bright brake lights advertise to everyone behind you that your slowing down, if you make it harder for people to see that your applying brake pedal pressure then you increase the risk of an accident happening.
@4rsnduction you can have conflicts with it, but you still respect the work done. the paint that goes on these taillights let the light go through. it also the reason why you have a fucking third brake light. either way, i think you don't deserve such a car as the st185 if you have problems with a tinted brake light.

If you place anything smaller than a GT25 (or equivalent) on a 1998cc engine then yes there will be hate, and im sure i wont be the only one. The point i have been trying to make is that not every mod is the right mod to do, you COULD place multicolored neon lights all over your car, inside it and underneath it, dosnt mean your modifications are good, in fact there are many things u can do to take your car away from "decent"
i dont own the car anymore.....but basically the more coats you do the darker it'll get...3 coats is transparent....10 is black...the trick is, is to leave your third brake light un touched and the cops should leave you alone...another option is to tape a strip accross the tailight before you paint ...its illegal to black out your lights...so if you have any reason not to want attention dont bother...lol this celica got me pulled over pretty often !
