The voice acting is quite amazing from Galactus and I like the Surfer's voice too. The creation of silver surfer from 6:45 is one of the most awesome sequence of any movie/cartoons.

I wished they had done better in the FF4 movie. There's still the Silver Surfer movie coming up right? Not sure when though.

The Silver Surfer gave Shalla Bal the power to bring life back to Zenn La and they made her empress. Which made her too busy to have time for him. Despite his best efforts to be reunited with her, Marvel has insisted on keeping them apart.

Norrin Radd was the only one on Zenn La that wanted to achieve anything. The rest of them were very happy traveling around in their flying cars, being entertained with 3D movies of their past that they could enter and interact with. They had no intention of bringing peace to anyone. Trying to get people interested in accomplishing anything just got Norrin looked at funny. After he turned against Galactus, the world devourer returned to Zenn La and drained it of life.

This was too advanced for Saturday morning and had little chance of being successful. It also made some unnecessary changes such as the final fate of the other Watchers. Norrin Radd eventually regains all of his memories on Earth, but sadly he's trapped on Earth for so long that Shalla Bal moves on before he's able to be reunited with her.

This character origin is so well done. Just like most other Marvel character origins. Unlike DC origins which are so painfully corny. For example: compare the Sliver Surfer to Green Lantern... Exactly. Marvel just does space better than DC.

Now, I'm 24, and a major in Chemistry, so to become what I always wanted, a Scientist. I still credit shows like these, for developing my interests in such academic venues... I still remember being fascinated by the way they depicted the Universe and the "endless bounds of the Cosmos".... I hope they continue this type of programing

The first episode of this cartoon series was the best. It even gave that Jack Kirby feel to it. That bombastic dialog reminiscent of Stan Lee. Hollywood just doesn't have smarts to not mess up a situation like the relationship of the Surfer and Galactus.

What's so tragic at the end of this episode is that Norin/Silver Surfer looks over at his home planet and it becomes evident that he is no longer Norin because he points at the planet as a possible planet for Glactus to consume.

That's not completely correct. They both don't need to eat, yet they absorb the energy from planets.

The Silver Surfer is a (relative) powerless being (compared to Galactus), he can just "feed" on the energy of a sun or something without disturbing it.

Galactus yet is a being of much more power and thus needs a lot more energy to survive, thus draining the whole planets energy when he feeds on them.
