  • You do reps far to slowly. You want explosive force, which requires acceleration. Slow reps wont get you anywhere

  • @falcodarkzz please dont talk if you have no idea wtf you are talking about. slow reps make ur muscles grow, fast reps only increase their endurance. u can do 20+ fast reps and only 8-10 slow reps. when ur body sees u can only do low reps it makes u grow muscle so u can do more reps

    I've been lifting for a year, for 6 months I followed scoobys advice, slow reps perfect form - gained 5lbs. Great. Next six months went all out, most weight I could handle, etc, gained 30lbs. Go figure.

    That's just the way my body responded. I guess the muscles responded to more stress, slow light reps don't tear the muscle as much, whereas heavy explosive ones stimulate growth more (in my opinion). Makes sense if you think about it.

    yea, it's not that hard. You just have to keep them busy once in a while, e.g. doing about 3 sets of max reps pushups, pullups, squats and crunches (only basic exercises as you can see) every second day, along with some cardio/sport.

  • They aren't pull ups they are chin ups. Anyway nice workout dude. Not easy doing any of that stuff weighted with a plate on your back. Do you do any weights or just the chin ups and push up variations?

  • @heshtech thanks for info i didnt know that :) i used to do this workout just varations of push ups with chin ups, i have a lot of variations more a lot a lot!! was good i get in shape so fast. but now i am just going to the gym i will be back to this workout later :)

  • Not bad, decent triceps. How do you get that plate on your back? You should get weighted vest with 80+ lbs so you can add even more resistance easily. you can add or remove weight in small increments.

    You could use a backpack and put some weights in it, works great.

  • Great moves, respect to people who prefer weighted push-ups over beach press. But using barbell pancake is actually quite odd thing to do. There are much better and things to use: backpacks, resistance band (you hold em with your hands) or weighted vest (but they cost much, 50 pounds vest would be around 250$)

    You have a pull up bar so you can try also some of this exercices back lever,front lever,hanging leg raises it's really all you need ;]

  • My workout consist in this ( i describe you very fast)

    i workout with push ups and pull ups together ( no rest)

  • For example i do this first push up that you see in the video with the chair mixed with the pull up that you see in the video ( i do 3 sets and repetetions as much as i can) for example my secret is that i am doing now with 30 kg on my back about 8 repetitions,

  • so it means that the next session i am gonna try to do 8 rep, and etc etc...when i am gonna get doing 20 rep with 30 kg i am gonna change the weight to 35 kg, and again i will see how much repetitions i can do, this is my way to work out....:)

  • yes how long did it take u to get in shape. im 180lbs 6 feet tall male and can do 30pushups, 30 situps and run 1 mile in 15min. if i do pushups and situps to exhaustion every other day and run 30min a day how long till i can do at least 50 pushups/situps and run 2 miles in 15min???

  • Yes most of my training is just pull ups mixed with pull ups ;) for 6 months i have been doing special training with different kind of push ups and pull ups on everyday :)
