You don't have to read music to play the ukulele. Most ukulele music is written with TABS, so its quite easy to get going with any type of uke. So, believe me, learning to paly the uke is really easy, since you DON"T have to read any music.
@dkerris reading music is actually very easy, you could probably learn in a day if you really wanted to, then over time learn to read faster and even write.
Ive never liked the baritone to be honest, everyone ive ever played sounded awful

I like it for the same reason. Nice low, mellow tones.
I wish I could play, but I've never been able to read music, so it'd be a waste of a lovely mellow uke.
