  • Snoopy is too annoying cute I don't like him when he's like that!

  • my name is loni

  • has anyone seen the younger charlie brown in the lil folks comic strip also done by "sparky"

  • charlies hair reminds me of jimmy from a funny cartoon show eene

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I remember seeing this when it aired, and I would also like to see more installments of it! Thank you!

  • Mr. Schulz was a very brillian human being.

  • Was the "Suppertime" number specially made for this show, or was it taken from another Peanuts special?

  • The first time I saw this version of Snoopy singing "Suppertime" was sometime in the early 80's when they ran the full animated song before the broadcast of "It Was A Short Summer, Charlie Brown." They actually edited out the opening scenes to Short Summer and used the time for this number. I always thought this was the best version of "Suppertime," much better than the 1985 one made for the animated version of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown."

  • Actually, I remember it much differently.

I recall seeing 'It Was A Short Summer' on TV, and was butchered in strange ways. They edited out the scene of Snoopy driving the bus, as well as Charlie Brown finishing writing his essay about summer vacation.

The episode (after commercial break) went from the wrist-wrestling tournament straight to this number...and I never could figure what happened.

My teacher had the book of 'IWASS,CB' in 3rd grade, and it was so different than what I saw.

  • Yes uruseiranma, we probably saw different broadcasts of the same butchered cartoon. They chopped out lots of scenes from the classics. It's The Easter Beagle was mercilessly trimmed as was Play It Again, Charlie Brown and until recent years the original Christmas Special. A matter of fact the first place I saw the complete, uncut A Charlie Brown Christmas after many years of suffering the mangled TV version was the Shell Video release in I think the late 1990s?

  • Charlie Brown's sweater never looked this good--especially on Loni's body--WOW!

I remember when I was in radio reading the death of Charles Schultz in 1999.

  • "Spanky" died in 2000.

  • I remember seeing the Fantastic Funnies special on CBS in 1980. I wish I had the whole special on DVD from its off air airing.

  • yesterzone: How come you never replied to me about how to get the complete Fantastic Funnies special from 1980 on a DVD?
