After all the comments on the crowd I thought I’d explain the background of the concert.

K&G played on the cities main square as part of the World Cup Alpine Skiing event that was being held in the city that weekend. K&G were organized to play a free concert for the public after the official draw was made for the skiers starting positions.

So this wasn’t a concert where paying K&G fans had come out to see them but rather people that were there for a free event, out of curiosity or by chance. A large majority probably didn’t have a clue who Kool & the Gang were or knew any of their music. Basically this is the reason behind their inertness, but also to be fair; in the video the crowd may not be getting down but honestly they’re not imitating street posts either.

@NoobProductionsRs Dude, These are Europeans, they don't move much especially when it is cold. Concerts in Europe are social gatherings where listening is the priority, not moving around. They may not groove like what we would expect a crowd to do, but they know their music and they are extremely knowledgeable about our American bands right down to the technical aspects of how the music works and the music theory behind it.

One of my favorite bands and songs from back in the day when I was growing up! I attended Farmingdale College back in the late 70's and they performed there! What a band! Saw Rick West do his sound effects for this song and it was the bomb! Also met my future husband of 26 years on that campus as well! That was our date! LOL! My kids love that story! I had all of their albums and never left home without their albums!
