Johnny Sack LOVED his wife and it was implied he never cheated on her. Remember when she was trying to lose weight and he told Tony he thought she was beautiful just the way she was? And he was willing to kill a dude for her! That is straight up, old school chivalrous devotion and I hope to show my woman that I love her and my avtions come across half as bad-ass as Johnny's
200 grands can actually leave a permanent dent on them, but since Johnny's a bit stubborn over one joke about his wife, he is actually asking to be clipped due to his insubordination just as much as Ralph made one small joke in front of his friends. This is also partly Paulie's fault for two reasons, one is that he doesn't get along with Ralph and two he out-earns him in money. For that Paulie went as so far to call Johnny from jail and let him know that Ralph made a joke about his wife.
Johnny Sack is so funny when he yells. 'You know it wasn't to long ago you were waiting in the car and as far as i'm concerned hE SHOULD STILL BE THERE!' 'john....' ' FUCK JOHN EVERYONES GOTTA HAVE AN OPINION!??'
@billy1589 True, but Carmine should have done more than just say he'll tax Ralph... sure, he couldnt clip him, but he should have done something more to placate Johnny Sack, as his right-hand man. That'd be like Sil coming to Tony for help and Tony turning Sil away.
@piratebri But, Sil and Tony grew up together. They had a genuine bond. Carmine and Johnny are more business connected, plus there's the generational divide between the two.
What's more funny is that later Johnny Sac kept saying "is it all about money?" in a sitdown and Carmine just had it, "yeah, it's about money. Now get the fuck over it.'
Like many others in here, Johnny was also one of my favorite characterss.. I love everything about that character he has. Vince Curatola did a good job.
One thing about Johnny sack, at least his morals seemed to be the most intact out of them all-he loved Ginny and showed her more respect than Tony etc. did to their wives
Sombody, I can't remember who, told a story about Carmine. They said one of his guys came to him wanting to clip another guy for fucking his wife. Carmine says we can't do it, he makes us two much money
8 years later Carmine calls the guy back up, "you know the guy that was fucking your wife, you can clip him now," since he was making the money anymore.
There's no real honor amongst thieves. This whole thing's about money Johnny, get the fuck out of here, and send your obese wife to diet camp
@Dilly5 Ya I agree. When it comes to mobsters 99% of the time it is about money like you said. However, when something happens to a relative all of a sudden money is no objects its ironic
@paulyseed Tony taking over a NY family would be like Mexico taking over United States LOL. Johnny Sack was always more powerfull even as an underboss. He was only depended on Tony when he was inside.
Johnny Sack was great as underboss, but as boss his reign was short lived and he prolly wud have been great but then again his consigliere jimmy was a rat. But Phil is what brought tha family down without a doubt, he reminds me much of Lucchese boss Vic Amuso: a retarded two bit thug who came up short in the brains department and thought he cud make up for it by jus killin and breakin heads. While Carmine was tha quintessential mafioso much in tha same mold as Tommy Lucchese or Anthony Accardo.
I think Phil did because he was so stubborn. I don't think it was fair to say Johnny Sack brought the family down. He spent his time as boss fighting with Little Carmine and cleaning up the mess that it brought. After the dust finally settled and Johnny made peace with Tony and Little Carmine, he was indicted.
Phil brought the family down because he was an emotional, arrogant prick. Johnny was in absolute control and was an intelligent, calculating man. Things went downhill when Johnny was incarcerated.
@DoubleDizzle1 What are you talking about Johnny Sack was a Moustache Pete, as soon as he found out that his wife was eating chocolate bars instead of exercising he cancelled the hit on Ralphie. Johnny was a MAN. It was Phil who brought the family down not Johnny...
Carmine = the most convincing mob boss I have ever seen. Everyone talks about how good John and Phil are, but what about Carmine? WIth his fish lips, and low profile attitude, and godfather like vocie, he makes the perfect mob boss! Please post all the Carmine clips...and little Carmine clips too (he's funny).
I love Carmine haha cause it takes him time to click it's like he is still in the 60's 70's and not in the 21 century. Little Carmine is different but not hard line like him. Have you seen the one with the gherkins? LOL

Yes Johnny, it is. The mafia is based all about greed and who can produce the most cash. To these guys, money always wins over honor.
