  • HE'S NOT ASIAN !!

  • was there ever an age he couldn't play like anything lol

  • POOR KID... His childtime is wasting with studying 6 hours per day

I play the piano, but i study 2 hours at day and i ride my horse.

  • @RussianRacist443 I only practiced maybe 30 minutes a day until I was 12

  • @slambennett Oh,yeah ... I believe, im sorry about you

    Lol

What a man will you become ,if you are povertied when you are a poor ,little, thin kid .... Lol :))

  • @slambennett did you attend schooling for your playing?

  • @slambennett nice

  • Wow! This is just.. Wow! :O I can't believe it .

  • this is crazy, I've been playing for over 10 years and still cannot play this piece...

  • this kid is terrifically awesomeeeeeeee

  • omfg...I dont know what to say... I got chills!

  • Holy crappp!!~~ I am twice his age and i am learning this song...HE IS MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A SORE LOSER TT^TT

  • fuck!

  • Simply amazing!

  • Very nice.

  • @hopelesslyderanged I disagree, I think he looks like a brontosaurus!

  • He is extremely talented for playing that piece at his age, and even after only 6 months of studying piano.

  • Dear everyone: These comments are hilarious. You realize he's a grown man now, and has a huuuuuge repertoire... If his parents forced him to play like many of you suggest, he would have grown to hate it and wouldn't have stuck with it, now would he? But he still plays piano a lot even now!

  • Parent: "Play or I kill you."

  • Wow! I'm currently working on this, and it's not as good as you at SIX! lol

  • no 6 year old that plays piano well is a genius.. it's just he got into it young and had a good teacher that kept his interest in the instrument..

  • @pinkfloyddwc be quiet, your making yourself look like an idiot.

this kid is a fucking genious, don't be so silly.

  • @raditzthecabbage oh wake up moron... so any kid that learns a language by the time he's 6 is a geniUs too? cause music is just another language you know..

the brain is a sponge at that age, and a proper teacher and motivation can get any halfwit to acquire proper technique... it's stupid thoughts like this that keep aspiring students down.. thinking "well i'm not a genius" when it has nothing to do with "genius" and everything to do with the right musical education

  • @pinkfloyddwc He's six for fucks sake, I bet you can't even play pieces like this and if you can, then you're very cruel. I'm sure Chopin would have loved to hear this fun piece being played by someone of his age.

  • @raditzthecabbage just saying he's not a genius ... just a kid that started early and had a good teacher... not sure what's cruel about that lol ... he's very lucky in fact!

look around on youtube you'll find hundreds of kids doing the exact same thing.. it's seriously just like learning a language

we'll see if he's a genius when he reaches the age where he can interpret the music

  • @pinkfloyddwc dude. apperantly he was only taking lessons for SIX MONTHS!!!! look hi up now. he is older and like a pro pianist. he was a musical genius.

  • this is totally amazing for this age!

  • Wa this filmed at oak hill elementary ??????????

  • A great performance!

  • Way to go, Sean!

  • this is horrible.

  • wow!!! this kids got it!!!!! rock on!!!!!

  • only one word... wow !

  • good god. just the fact that this kid can reach the pedal is astounding to me. those who criticize, regardless of musical skill or knowledge, have to take into account that at six years old, most kids are playing twinkle twinkle, not chopin let alone the minute waltz. kudos. I played this piece a few years ago (i am a teenager) and never played it nearly as well, despite the lack of emotion in the video. Nevertheless, I am blown away, and any less would be an insult to this kid's potential.

  • ...

  • OK I must admit he plays good, but still - everyone can learn the notes and play the song, but music is about HOW you play it too. I see many people playing very hard pieces of music (like this one), but there is no emotion in there. I think people should learn about the song too, and then, when everything is good and when you are ready - enjoy while playing your song:) *I hope people, who read this, understand, what I am trying to say here*

  • @WingDemon1 Firstly, not everyone can learn the notes and play the song. That comment tells me that you are not a pianist.

Secondly, this kid is six years old. He hasn't begun to understand the nuances and phrasing that is required of a Chopin piece. However, I see so much potential here. Considering he's only been studying music for 6 months at this point, I'd say he has already picked up some of the emotion of the song.

I understand what you are trying to say, and you are still wrong.

  • @queensgirl87 look I am just saying, why play the song when you don't have the right skill for it YET.

P.S. I am impresed at his playing - not every 6 yr olds can play this

    P.P.S. I cam a pianist

  • @WingDemon1 Because he's six years old playing at a recital, not Carnegie Hall.

  • @queensgirl87 sorry sorry - i'm not the smartest guy on the planet, sheesh

  • @WingDemon1 I've never before heard of someone using lack of intelligence as an excuse for being unfairly judgemental.

  • @queensgirl87 whatever

  • @queensgirl87 you're kind of aggravating people have opinions quit trolling

  • I can't think how good he must be today.

    Inspirational video!

  • God damn these child prodigies... lol jk I'm so jealous

  • wow, he was really good for a 6 year old. His parents must have saw that as a preview for his ability as he grew older. He has a gift!

  • LOL 1:19 butterfly!

  • that's pretty lackluster applause considering what a prodigy performance that was

  • Finally a genuine prodigy on Youtube.

  • *cough*asian*cough*

  • riiiight...because "Sean Bennett" is such a common Asian name

  • Lol.. sure is

  • but hes still asian

  • fucking racist shit!

  • @kyonako1234 I'm not a racist you stupid prick

    im just being realistic

  • i'm not Asian btw.

  • @Lity10 *cough* moron "cough*

  • @rodrigocientista ur mum

  • I love how all pianists have their little quirks... I have this really weird thing where when I play Fur Elise, my left hand starts to move... but it's kinda comforting :D nice job~~~!!!!

  • absolutely amazing!

  • What a gift! x

  • wow not a very easy piece to play

  • Impresionante !!!!!!!.

  • OMG ! Very good for your age! I can't play the piano unfortunatley , so I tried to play with this wonderful music and i made a little video

  • this makes me feel great.

a 6yr old could play this better than me D:

  • U R SOOO Good

  • i think he is genius :)

  • 6 months after beginning piano my fkn ass

  • omg, this guy is AWESOME!! I became a fan as soon as I heard him play!!

A really awesome prodigy even when he was just starting piano and as a child too o.o GO SEAON BENNETT!! (:

  • WOW!! I Wish I could play like that!

  • makes u sick- awfull robotical " child mind devours info" kinda performance- to play fast means nowt - he shuld stop b4 he ever gets to bach or mozart or beethoven- twat!

  • haha i bet when he got on the piano, alot of the parents were thinking "aahh another boring childish piano show", then when he started busting the keys, everyones like...."fuck"....

  • mhm. XD

  • @supatoker420 yep... You know you have like 13 thumbs up?

  • @supatoker420 it was still boring.

  • a little genious!

  • that's fucking crazy

  • aw....he's so cute and talented ^_^

  • Dude. this kid is awesome. He should do Rachmaninoff's 23-5 next lol.

  • Yeah, that one is beautiful.

  • He's going to be a chick magnet now

  • Thanks to Matt Bellamy

  • Matt Bellamy? From muse?

  • how cute!!

  • holy

  • omg after 6 months??? OMG PRO

  • no problem with several hours a day of memorizing the piece note for note

study psych, open your eyes on how memory and facts work. experienced people play pieces when they are less familiar with them

  • i agree.....The head of keyboard studies at B'ham Conservatoire told me that great pianists play well when they CAN play the piece rather than laboriously memorising the piece robotically. Often mistakes occur when a piece has been over-practised.

  • no i mean...there are better ways for a child to spend his time improving.... learning a larger number of easier pieces means more combinations of notes acquired

  • dood. i bet u couldnt play that when u were six so stfu

  • adorable

  • man, that was pretty mediocre applause considering what these people just witnessed!

  • wow!

  • he is like a deamon...

  • Such wonderful talent!!

  • Yes, he is amazing. That's not the point. But he is not ready at this stage to perform this piece in public, would that be a school auditorium or elsewhere.. Guess he's a bit stage shy also, playing before an audience is always sraring depending on the individuals and their experience. Was I his teacher, I would have let him play the pieces he plays perfectly, not this one...not yet. But again, amazing talent, no question about it.

  • Well done, what a talented little boy.

  • DEFINITELY a past life skill there, amazing

  • 6 months ? haha really?

  • That's not human at this age.. its like he knew this from a past life or something....

  • what the HELLLLLL AMAZING

  • He's gotta ways to go in this video. Mainly because his hands are just too small. Other than that , it was superb.

  • You're pretty good, but maybe you should come back to this in a year or two.

  • He did. This was recorded in 1986. Did you read the description before you decided to criticize his playing? Let's see... a six-year old on a wretched upright in a school auditorium.. I think it is a bit unreasonable to ask for multiple degrees of tonal finesse.

  • I was not "criticizing" his playing. I said that he did pretty good, especially for his age.

  • it's amazing, not at all perfect but amazing... he is too young

  • Oh my gosh! What a cutie!!!

  • hes so funny but retarded

  • stupendously amazing!!!

  • what??? 6 months after beginning the study of piano???

  • ha! no wonder this kid was able to play a rachmaninoff concerto at 14 and a liszt concerto at 17!!! what a prodigy!!genious!

  • almost there...

  • great

  • lol plebs comments

  • I feel sorry for the little guy....Why In the world did he had to learn this ??? Pianists with 8 years of experiance starts with something like this. my...god..........

  • So you'd think it best he just played in the sandbox with all the other kids huh.

The guy has a special gift - wouldn't it be much sadder that his talent be undeveloped? You need to rethink your entire outlook on life.

"Pianists with 8 years of experiance starts with something like this"... I would also suggest some remedial English lessons be on your list as well :-)

  • First of all.. Sorry for beeing hungarian. Second; No matter what gift or tallent a musician has,he needs to develope feelings and techniques that require years!! And there is no way around it. Plenty of musician like the little kid up there will lack the ability to play meaningfull, gracefully, with dignity and nobility.

Cherny etudes, sonatinas,Bach, mozart sonatinas is what the little kid should play. Shame on the teacher...

  • Dude he's six. It's fine.

  • myyy.....

  • Holy smoke!! That is just crazy, this kid at 6 can outplay lots of college age piano students!!! Wow, if I only had the chance to start piano that young...

  • mamma mia

  • CUUUUUUUUUUUUTE

  • better tempo that many pretentious professionals

  • you are amazing!!! you are so talented.

  • genius...

  • bravo my friend...

  • Sweeeeet

  • You are a genius!!!!

That was a good performance of the waltz. Fantastic playing

  • Wowsers! You are a genius!

  • Wow.

  • poor kid..I remember not being able to stretch an octave.

  • Already, you had movements & gestures down pat. :) Definitely shows a lot of promise, considering where you are now. And to think at 6 years old, I was still in preschool, playing with G.I. Joe's. ;)

  • He struggles with the trills! I remember when I couldn't trill
