Great skit, I love the ending. That's so true, when Jesus died on the cross He took on the sins of the whole world. I've often thought about how much burdened the sins of just one person feels like. Jesus took on the sins of everyone in the whole world. What a weight He felt at the cross. But, Glory to God our sins are forgiven and we like Jesus are dead to all sins. Praise Be to GOD. No offense, but...I think this was absolutely ridiculous. Just because you bow to Jesus doesn't make your past not real and your debt and your mental problems go away--you have to DO something about it, not use a universal scapegoat.

First of all, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Therefore, there is a 100% "bad rate" among Jews, Greeks, Gentiles, and all people. Believing and accepting Christ as your savior doesn't make you perfect, it doesn't even make you a better person. "All men are worms" and we are all inherently evil do to original sin. And maybe that's true about Christians having the most pregnancy outside of marriage, but all sin is equal. Premarital sex is just as bad as murder or lies...
I'll say this, not many teens are eager to just say that they are Christian unless they are, in fact, brought up in a Christian household. These are the teens that are getting knocked up the most.
My theory is that Christians are the most immoral lot by the 'legal' standard. The bible doesn't condone teen pregnancy or homicide so Christians are not un-inclined to steer clear of the practices.

I would advise you to read "The Shack" by William P. Young. In there it gives some insight to this. God loves and it hurts God when others are in pain. God doesn't want to see things like the sex trafficking, abuse, etc. But the people who do these crimes are are not being controlled by God. It is their choice. But God is there with the victims. He is taking some of the pain and staying beside them the whole time. God is merciful, loving and caring. Just check out the book. Its a great read!

In truth I don't fear God as I should. His prophets didn't do much better look at Isaiah when he met God in a vision Isaiah 6. First of all, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Therefore, there is a 100% "bad rate" among Jews, Greeks, Gentiles, and all people. Believing and accepting Christ as your savior doesn't make you perfect, it doesn't even make you a better person. "All men are worms" and we are all inherently evil do to original sin. And maybe that's true about Christians having the most pregnancy outside of marriage, but all sin is equal. Premarital sex is just as bad as murder or lies...

I'll say this, not many teens are eager to just say that they are Christian unless they are, in fact, brought up in a Christian household. These are the teens that are getting knocked up the most.
My theory is that Christians are the most immoral lot by the 'legal' standard. The bible doesn't condone teen pregnancy or homicide so Christians are not un-inclined to steer clear of the practices.
By the way, the bible teaches that you must love and fear your god. Kinky isn't it?

great skit. demonstrates how sometimes we, as people, get involved in things that are not good for us but God is always there when we need Him the most. It takes faith and an open heart to know that he IS with each and everyone one of us in the good and bad times. He takes our problems out of our hands and into his.

I would advise you to read "The Shack" by William P. Young. In there it gives some insight to this. God loves and it hurts God when others are in pain. God doesn't want to see things like the sex trafficking, abuse, etc. But the people who do these crimes are are not being controlled by God. It is their choice. But God is there with the victims. He is taking some of the pain and staying beside them the whole time. God is merciful, loving and caring. Just check out the book. Its a great read!

Children should be taught that they are the masters of their own minds, that they make their own luck in the long run. There life is not at the mercy of some totalitarian god that the must love and fear. Children should seek people they can rely on such as family and friends, not some invisible god.

Let's assume that the facts stand on their own because no one has challenged them; Christians do, indeed, have the highest teen pregnancy, divorce, incarceration and suicide rates in the nation. Now Ill fish for a debate by posing a question:
Are immoral people more inclined to be Christian or are Christian people more inclined to be immoral? Which one causes the other?

The reason is in Christianity everything depends on grace. Many people then believe that is not just. They no longer fear him because they think grace justifies sin. The gospel declares that grace covers it. Not because God has to but because God wants a relationship. And many approach it as that a belief and not a relationship.

What is the source of your statistics? Regardless of whether a Christian or non-Christian is asking, you shouldn't be afraid to list your source (weblink to Census Bureau or link to the source document/report).

I have to say thank you rapptimj. There are tons of sources that cover specifically teen pregnancy or suicide if you run the query through google. I'll point you to one that seems to cover the entire gambit.
Please, anyone, google "Journal of Religion & Society" and look for a pdf called "Cross-National Correlations [da da da]". This should be the 2nd or third hit. Most all third party academic studies reach the same conclusions. Please PM me for some more and I can post the actual links.

OR "christians" who got sprinkled with holy water as babies, and went to church every sunday and dont swear too much. You have to dig behind those statistics. Southern Christianity probably dominates those statistics!

You'll have to read the studies yourself. Its funny you bring this up, but studies indicate that 'real' Christians are more inclined to homicide than 'passive' Christians.

These are Christian academic sources mind you. I have yet to point anyone to secular studies because I don't want to leave anyone room to cherry pick, as youve attempted to do. Cheers.

In truth I don't fear God as I should. His prophets didn't do much better look at Isaiah when he met God in a vision Isaiah 6. Gods holiness is what he feared because he could never reach that standard. Yes God could crush me for being the sinner that I am. But that's where grace comes in. Jesus took our place and that's why Christians forget that god is the same in the old testament as he is now. We forgot who he was. If we could ever imagine it in the first place. Cheers, orckin. The irony is that I am an atheist who believes that the bible is to be taken literally and explicitly if it is, indeed, a holy book. Howver, my personal experiences do not allow my to beleive in gods or the sins. But I like to read the bible anyways. It is a neat book nonetheless.
