  • are these proportionally heavy as the real thing, same weight / dimensions ratio ?

  • You crash that... (whistle) thats 10,000 dollars down the toilet....

  • @Pr3dProductionsHD it can actually cost much more, a good engine alone can cost between $3,000 and $15,000 but it's worth the fun! I have also heard that target drones, which are basically high performance RC planes, used for shooting practice by the military can cost as much as $300,000!!! expensive toys

  • YOU JUST DONT SEE A RUSSIAN MIG JET, IN THE BACK OF A VAN THESE DAYS!!! GREAT PLANE MATE!!!

  • That kid is very lucky.

His dad taught him all about science and is willing to spend time with him and pay for his projects.

  • Pidar

  • Not that you need me to point this out, but hot damn that things a beast.

    Great job, guys.

  • Now that's just well out of control!

    Thanks for the video!

  • I was boring looking at how they did all the stuff to be ready, but and the end I didn't see it flying......no men.....

  • 5:26 of bullshit..show it flying

  • spent all his money on this plane, couldn't even afford shoes

  • wow thats big

  • @Drogin69

    Thats what she said!

  • @TheRattleSnake3145 no really i mean it!

  • Comment removed

  • Hey! How old was clinton kraidy when he built this??

    Hat's off to him!

  • strap ur little brother if he's not fat

  • Pretty Nice Legs Fellas !!!

  • What's with all the questions? Next time tell the dude to shut-the-fuck-up!

  • I wish i had a project for physics... to invent a plane like this haha

  • yeah, it's big, but nothing more. I guess that doing it that big has taken away time from some detailing, or, when the video was shot it wasn't completly done?

    sorry for bad english

    best regards

    mav

  • @tomcatmaverik There was still a lot of work to be done at this stage. There is no point in spending many hours on adding the scale detail if it didn't fly.

  • alright lets put a cat in the cockpit...

  • aargh

  • You might as well build a real one. You can say, 'I build a scale model of a Mig. Scale 1:1'.

  • MIG is cool video is not

  • Where's all the women at?

  • Dear santa...........

  • That's a huge jet, thanks for sharing

  • thumbs up for the guy scratching his butt at 1:45

  • Huge model. Those turbines seem relatively small for the size of the airframe, are you just using them to test the plane? Are you guys in Auckland?

  • Question: Are you a Kiwi?

  • @IPwn00Bs87 Thanks for the kind offer of engaging in coitus but I'm afraid to inform you that I will have to decline for several reasons. Firstly, I am already in a long-term relationship. Secondly, I see from your channel-page that you are under-aged. And thirdly, I'd hate to catch your terminal case of potty-mouth. But thanks for the offer anyway. Good luck in finding a partner (you'll need it).

  • @xjet The ultimate insult :O

  • @xjet BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THAT IS THE BEST COMMENT I HAVE EVER SEEN

  • @IPwn00Bs87 sure, but not me.... my dog, a rat terrier, it needs a good fuck!

  • so what he really meant to say is that it weighs 411 Newtons. I would expect someone smart enough to build this would know that kilograms is not a measurement of weight.

  • @davethewave1223221 Actually, a kilogram is a measure of mass and, under 1G (which is what you get on good old planet earth) it also becomes a measure of weight. Newtons are a measure of force, not weight.

  • @xjet Actually, if you pick up any physics book ever printed you will find that newtons are a measure of weight. Additionally, Newtons can be used to represent thrust. You will find this in the sections dealing with newtons laws just in case you get confused.

  • @davethewave1223221 I think you'll find that W is defined as M (mass) times G (gravity). A Newton is a measure of force and the force exerted by gravity is 9.8N per Kg so you can calculate the weight of an object under the influence of a 1G acceleration if you know how much force the combination of its mass and the acceleration is producing. It's all semantics really. However, in all my reference texts, w = m.g with no mention of Newtons as a metric for weight.

  • @davethewave1223221 99.9% of the population uses kilograms when referring to weight. The other .1% use Newtons to show how knowledgeable, superior and boring they are.

  • @davethewave1223221 Newton is the right measure used in propulsed engines

  • 1:57 thats what she said :D

  • get rid of the dork asking the questions.

  • The jet engines don't fit, there tiny

  • nope never mind

  • Im using my sisters account, i think i've seen bigger

  • @asiankim7 in your mouth?

  • Every RC pilots love , someone with a camera talking bollocks.

  • Clinton isn't very sociable is he? :L

  • GUNS and BOMBS cant any better then that.

  • @kawasaki228 cant get any*

  • wish I had the money for it. I would do the same.

  • Looks like you need thrust tubes in back.

  • The answer to New Zealand's lack of air force fighter jets

  • Wooa Clinton watch out for the camera when ya scratch your bum!

  • Whens the maiden vid up bruce ?

  • @fisherboom Maiden is up now.

  • @xjet Thanks Bruce love your comments with the owners eg is that the CA lol

  • I wonder what the wingspan/area is ? It looks like about 3m span. I suspect the wing loading is rather high... Would not like to be the test pilot.

  • @HeatherMardon It's got a surprisingly low wing-loading, there's a *lot* of area. Yes, I think it's about 3m span and 4.2m long. The test-flight video is up now and there's more to come.

  • can anyone tell me about the relation of rc and real turbines, weather they are more efficient, make relative more thrust and how their relative fuel consumption is?

  • @m93sek go to JetCat USA they have everything you need to know about these things. Great info there

  • 14mz, yeah!

Now i Have the same radio :D

  • Jajaja mucho avión pero no lo hemos visto volar!! Así claro que es el mas grande! Eso no vuela!!

  • that is freakin awesome ... i hope he got an A for that project!!!

  • Nice cliff-hanger there, dammit! :)

  • awesome. Loved your hobbyking humor dear bruce

  • I assume the operator of this enormous pilotless aircraft has the gone through the appropriate process of consultation with the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority. It certainly exceeds the 25kg gross weight limitation for it to be operated under the rules governing model aircraft!

  • @Rodz10x Yes, it's fully certified.

  • Thanks @xjet. I figured it would be all legal tegel.

Most of my reason for asking was to raise awareness of the CAA rules for any that might want to do similar projects.

  • OMFG!!WHERE IS THE VIDEO OF IT FLYING AND LANDING?

  • Thats odd , who in their right mind will fix their turbine by hand with a srewdriver or file, I am not under estimating the owners good craftmanship, but with an airplane this size, I will think twice to do it this way. I guess this is what happens when u dont use a jetcat turbine. Good luck with this project

  • @brunosoto As a jet aircraft mechanic, yea we do actually fix turbine and compressor blades with hand filing... Full on.

  • Awesome model, cannot wait for the maiden video!

  • Bruce you forgot to ask him the important question that us viewers would be asking: "Does it go mach 3?"

  • 42kg? jeesh, that's what, like 93lbs? mammouth mig!!!! I think I'd be a bit scared to fly something this big. kudos!

  • o the things that could have been done with that money! but o well...looks fun as hell

  • I get the feeling that young Clinton has a bright future ahead of him ..... well done!!

  • Bruce - thanks for uploading -always enjoy both of your channels. @simscody3 please, respectfully, I think the level of aggression is a little off base here. Just because you donate (as do I) it doesnt mean that Bruce is your employee and has to do your bidding. I'm certain he'll get to things when he can. Think of it as general encouragement/support not a "fee for service".

  • @beejmeister1

I get where you are coming from but Bruce has been telling people that it will be up in a day or two, twice a week for 2 months, then he keeps coming out with videos like this showing something worth while with him in the back ground making stupid comments trying be smart or funny and its not working. He is a smart guy no doubt but cut out the attempt at comedy

  • Doesn't look right from the rear. In fact the engines look kind of redneck...I mean VERY REDNECK!

  • @CrackerMcGillicuddy

    lol...i noticed that too!

  • BRUCE, are you going to finish the Turnigy 9X , Frsky DIY hack that has been promissed for over 2 months. It would seem you dont much care about the RCmodels Review channel, subscribers or the donators

  • @simscody3 It's up now!

  • fantastic!!! :)

  • you guys are crazy !!! i like it!

  • Sweet one.. man i love that sound

  • Thats where the wheels to the wheely bin went to??? Very lovely mate.

  • Great looking bird and can't wait to see the maiden flight ;-)

  • Oh wow, that thing is enormous!

Can't wait for the maiden, nice cliffhanger ;)

  • Men... this plane rocks!

I could fit my kids inside of that thing!

    :D

  • @BaDlYbRUiZeD Surely a good way for them to have some fun, but perhaps a tiny tad dangerous. ;-)

  • @PHeMoX only if i was flying it

    :P

  • Comment removed

  • that is awesome!! can't wait for the maiden

  • epic!!!!

  • i wanna know how it feels when flying caz the real one is really hard to maneuver..

  • Should build a trailer for it to save on assembly time :D great job though, looks like the real thing at 5:10!

  • The aircraft is fine. The video is fine. The commentary questions are dorkish.

  • That's crazy big...

  • Sweet!

  • oooo nice sweet and
