it's not that great, which is why they brought out the S version. this case is all about being more quieter anyway, so it'd be a better idea liquid cooling with the 1000. it's great for cable management with a lot of space, so the airflow shouldn't be that bad though.

Going on the assumption that you CPU cooler is lapped. What kind of temps do you get? I have an E8400 OC'd to 3.2 so the temps will be different but I'm thinking lapping my Zalman 9700.

9 months later, the 260 GTX will be a weak card in performance. And the 44nm 365 GTX or the 5870 will be the new standard for 2600x1600. You would also need to upgrade the cpu to the 32nm core i7 and a x68 motherboard.

Nice PC. Your Q6600 run in 3.4 GHz but I think you can put to 3.6 GHz.

My Q6600 runs daily in 3.8 GHz :p, but I think 3.6 is better in stability.

Try to put your Q6600 in 3.6 GHZ.

To 3.6 Ghz try to put in 1.35v or 1.38v (voltage in CPUZ) and in memory frequency keep the stock frequency (near the stock frequency).

simple solution, turn the fan up lol. Mines at 49 degrees right now, in game i was at 68 and the fan speed is only at 55%. Btw 3sli is not a prob if you have a lot of money no, but at just under a grand and requiring a massive power supply (which bring it over a grand) it's only for a small percentage of people. Especially considering the people who will want this are probably looking to pay about 3k for a complete system. 1 High end car they will be lking to pay about half that.

Crysis is optimised on Nvidia architecture. If you compare the cards on other games the 4870 tends to beat the 260. The whole reason Nvidia have brought out the new core 216 cards was because of that very reason. Even tomshardware had the title, 4870, faster than gtx 260 as there review. This is best reflected in sales, ATi cards are selling out but theres always a supply of nvidia, which reflects the state of the market. I.e, ati won this round.

GTX 280's in 3-wey SLI is superior to CF with 4870x2. And in cod4 the GTX 260 still gets higer frames than the 4870, I have them both in 2 simulair system's. Iv been there and seen the diffrence that's nothing to argue atleast.

I take issue with what you say on cod4. At 1680x1050 with 4 AA a 4850 can beat a GTX 260 let alone a 4870.  Although ofcourse as the filters and rez builds that changes. And similarly runnin on the same machine isnt mutually exclusive with attaining a fair test. Which is why one has to look at various sources in order to work out the better buy.

Aside from XSF, don't listen to these assholes. You may very well be able to use your 650watt PS. I all depends on how many amps the PS can handle on its 12 volt rail(s). You can get molex to PCIe adapters to run SLI if you only have enough PCIE plugs for on card. Watts are far less important than AMPS, but these idiots wouldn't know that because they simply regurgitate some other assholes nonsense.
