I stumbled on this series and watched them all almost back to back. Thanks a lot for your time and efforts.
I probably have more chance of discovering gold in a UK London boot fair than out in the bush but it was really great to sort of come along.- Now back to work for me...!
I'm fascinated by your explanation on the levels where the old gold hunters originally sought their gold from your area. Have you been able to find any written evidence of their workings and of how much gold was taken out of the area? I don't know how much gold that was for three days, but it certainly looked a good amount for your work effort. Well, take care and Good hunting :D
Cool stuff, you sure have some fun out there. This old timer miner I knew always said, You got to be as tough as a two dollor steak. I like to think of that when I'm out in them hills, freezen, dirty, and just tired. HixonAu your a two dollor steak. lol, keep the great mining vid's coming.
cut and paste your vids, offer it up to some geology university courses, might carry you through the long winters if you know what i mean. Yes you want to introduce others to the great outdoors and to small mining... but a little here and there helps pay for the lumps of coal...
Thanks man! it reminds me of the late 70s with my parents on the feather river ca. lots of work and lots of fun , still pan up their summers and early spring , again lots of work and lots of fun ...makes me proud just to watch !! ill think of this the next time were up in norcal !
Hay hixonAu nice vid its always nice to see some color in the pan even if its not yours. I was woundering do you own the DVD Alone in the Wilderness, if you dont you should get a copy it is a great movie and you would injoy it its one of my favorites.
The slacker sure loves the coffee! Nice haul for 3 days. From the looks of it, your claim should keep you busy for many years to come. Lots of great places to dig! Great video and thanks for taking us along!!
Discovery channel should do a show about you Darc'y.Maybe you should carry a secondary weapon(side firearm or bowie knife) just incase you can't get to your primary weapon,im sure you know what your doing but thought id mention it.Take care.
@Miracululz Yeh 4 sure someone should contact them that knows about this corporate stuff.Darc'ys posts would be pure gold for regular TV. Thx 4 ur reply.tc.
@ZEDZOR2 looks like he's got himself a bowie knife on his belt. now if he could just swing it faster than a bear swipes his paws, he wouldn't even need a gun....

@MnLare Yeah i did see that but it looks more like a penknife holder than a Bowie knife, fighting a bear with a tin-opener might be a bum deal....
