I have seen him throw the ball from the outfield and couldn't get it to the infield, it was sad. Not to mention that he isn't that great of a lead off hitter. And most of the teams that gave him a shot thought that a great lead off hitter just because he had speed. And not to mention you have to be able to rap to be a decent lead off hitter, duh!

@bigbo3488 05 and 06? what a shitty mess. in 06 he was in the last place cubs. 07 he was in the 4th place dodgers, and 08 he was just pushed around, yet he still played for an organization that didnt want him too, and in 09 he came out and did way better then manny did. and had 117 hits in 380 At bats with a .308 average. In his first full year he batted .327 with 202 hits. I bet if you got jp on a decent team that would start him we would see a lot more out of him.

i have to agree with anyone who says juan pierre is a pretty good contact hitter, which is why he is one of the hardest guys to strike out in baseball.

that doesnt mean anything, since most of his balls in play are weak balls to 2nd base or the pitcher. juan pierre hits the ball out of the infield as often as he strikes out.
