You don't need that great of handling where I live, the only safe spots to do 150mph+ are 5 lanes wide and have 1 car per mile per hour late at night. My friends that ride GSX 1000s cruise around town at 160mph and hit into the 190's.

Damn straight... My Boxster S may not be the fastest car on the street (although it does screw), but put it into a corner and it's amazing. Best car I've ever driven, bar none. Porsche basically takes astonishing and multiplies it by 10. Just simply unbelievable cars to own, even compared to a Lambo or an Aston it's just the passion (and the drivability) that a Porsche has its just.. superb.

Damnit, dude, calm down. I chose the Boxster because 1. Price, I got a fully loaded S with every option except Tiptronic for 3/5's what the Bentley I looked at was for sale for. (and Conti's dont come with a stick)

2. The 355 was beautiful, better then the Boxster for sure and I never said it wasn't, but it was 8 years old and was more then the new Porsche. 3. I never compared the Boxster to a continental in the first place. I just said I test drove both and the boxster was a better car for me.

Nah, the S2 Turbo pulls great but a boxster S has a faster 0-60 and 0-100 time. 260 BHP in the S2 Turbo, but it weighs more then the Boxster and with decade old technology it doesn't put the power on the road as well as the boxster. I'm thinking about buying a 944, actually. They're pretty damn sweet, as well as being reliable and rather cheap. Good luck with yours.

Unless the 944 Turbo is modified it doesn't accelerate faster or go faster or handle better. It is a phenominally handling car, but Car and Driver's best handling car of 1986 can't compete with one of C/D's top skidpad results of a Boxster.
