It's true. The top 3 2008 Eurovision'ers all started in America too.

Dima Bilan spent time in America but then went another way. He later worked with Timbaland in 08.

Ani Lorak started in New York in a contest. she named herself ani lorak there too and then went back to russia.

Kalomoira is an American. She started in NYC and won a radio singing competition where she would later travel to Greece to complete on a TV show and later win.

So that is my thread of "American" in this music.
