I believe the OVA was made for them to look older ...naturally as years have passed since the anime. I haven't seen the comics.

I personally dont like the second OVA because I wanted them to have a happy ending.

@allana221 If you get Samurai X Reflections Director's Cut, its should be in there. I've always remember this scene being in the last OVA, so maybe I got lucky with getting the right one. Just check out to see if you can find the director's cut version. It should be available in English.
