While cute, more than anything I'd attribute "demon" cat's noises to a tenderness area on his lower back, probably caused by fleas, mites, or a type of lice. A lot of cats have this issue, and you can notice it by them intensely licking their lips, licking at the air, growling, bobbing their head, etc when you scratch or brush their lower back.

@hallowhearty I believe part of what causes this is that the area on their lower back is the only place on their body they cannot reach with any of their paws, and so are not used to having it touched. It's a little bit like a pressure point. This is less a cat being possessed, and more like a cat either in discomfort or intense pleasure (this depends on the cat).
