  • Anyway... i like you, my name is Robin too! goodnt R!

  • i feel your pain keep your head up

  • hmm.

  • I can compare with you,Robin.I mean,Im 17, And i have probably about 7 people i know i can turn to,no matter what in this whole entire world,te slap thinmg,is another thing i understand,It hurts though,to think your own family dont like what you fdo,the y put me down because i dont want to be the same,i dont want to go through life unnoticed, youre an inspiration to all who take the time to listen to you, keep it up girl :]

  • Painful as it is it's best to shut the negative ppl out of your life when possible. When it's a work--that's the worst b\c it's not in ur control to shut them out...Negativity feels like taking a bath with that reach, foamy, lavendar soap, putting on a new suit, $200 cologne, sitting on your $3,000 chaise, and then having vomit fall on you out of the sky...at least, I hope that's vomit. Anyway... :-)

  • Wow, graphic but so VERY accurate. Very accurate. Thanks.

  • Wow. Your videos are just...amazing. I don't know what else to say.

  • I think many, MANY folks are tired of negativity. I know I am...your stand and open heart will help us change. Hate, anger, bigotry, will continue to grow unless more like you speak out. You're a blessing!!

  • u r very clever woman, be strong :)

  • (((HUGS))) Robin! 'nuff said... NO, wait, anyway... the point is, you are intense, wonderful, inspiring, and... LOVED!

  • I don't know why you keep saying you're average. You say you're average because everyone has faults - That doesn't mean you're anything less than an exceptional person. You have powerful insight and charisma to share it with.

People who dislike good people for their faults are usually hate-filled and shallow. It takes intelligence to understand that traits come from places, and that they can be changed.

Continue to change. Thanks for your videos!

  • negativity reminds me of positive, people places and things, thank bad thank bad god bless the bad devil damn em

  • I'm from a very negative background myself - that's why I think all I do is complain.

I consider Vlog like a "digital shrink"...digital therapy. There's nothing a psychologist could tell you that you couldn't tell yourself if you listened hard enough.

    Keep making videos. You're fantastic.

  • I have to agree with that. Anyway, when you go to them you just talk it through! So why not talk it through here and save some dough?!

  • i like your videos

  • Robin, *hug* We all see our own faults through a magnifying glass. But God loves us anyway. We'll never be perfect. But it's OK! (I have to remind my self of this) Because we're loved, no matter what. Not just by God, but by our families and friends =)

  • I know depression inside and out. It was my "best friend" for 30 years. Strange how something so self-hurtfull can become a friend. I finally tried a new anti-depressent & ditching some negative people. Doing well now & hope to get off the meds sometime, too. Everyone has their own challenges & I greatly admire you for taking yours to all. An inspiration for us all. Love.

  • Positivity DEFINITELY the KEY 2 LIFE!

Gurl negativity MAKES ME SICK 2...its useless and unneccessary...

  • Heh. About that early to bed thing, yeah... Early for me is usually about midnight or 1am! >w< Make that two flying pigs!

But still, we all have lessons to learn... And I learned a very painful lesson a good couple of months back. *Sigh* But we all learn from our mistakes, and that's what I like about you. You keep reminding people of that. It's awesome. ^_^

  • You are wonderful

  • You are such a positive person even when you're pointing out your own faults and averageness. I also admire your courage so much for speaking from your heart so much. ^_^ Keep up the good work.

  • You made quite a point in this video. Getting positive comments is empowering but sometimes you need a little negativity in your life because you wouldnt be strong as you are now.

  • Two very special vids, you may not think so...but i did!

  • Your an inspiration, I understand where your coming from with the negativity. We need negativity in our lives but sometimes it has a result of a positive consequence. What goes around.. comes around. Your an inspiration, you make a great point. You speak your mind and I admire that.

  • Good for you. I have just started stamping out all the negativity too - that includes telling the ones that make me feel bad what they are doing. It was hard, but now I feel empowered.

  • I love you.

  • People need to have positivity and negativity in their lives. It's all about balance (that doesn't mean 50%/50%!). Now I'm sure you've already had your lifetime of negativity. But some people, like me, surrounded by positive, save, nice things, we lack of that other emotional side which makes a human being complete. Both sides are within us. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of positivity. It's a wise life principle. I'm just trying to explain...

  • Hey Robin. I just like listening to you speak. I was cleaning my room today and I just played you in the background an listened. I've gotta say that I derive a lot of pleasure from just hearing you talk about things that actually make sense. :)

  • ah! i feel so special for being mentioned for my comment. or, i don't know if it was me, but i'd like to think that.

anyway (xP) that was another great vid. i feel like your vids always have some really serious and sad moments, but you always smile or laugh and lighten the mood eventually while still making us think. you're a compelling speaker.

  • okay it was me. i feel even specialer. xD and i didn't mean it as a bad thing.

  • I know you didn't. That's why it made me laugh. Can you help me out? I don't know what (xP) and xD are. Don't let this shock you. Technologically, I'm a dinosaur.

  • xP = Eyes looking like this: >< with a tounge hanging out. xD Eyes looking like this: >< with a wide, open smile. :D

  • right, they're basically a variation on :P and :D

  • We have a lot in common. I love how you put yourself out there & say how you really feel. You are a very brave woman & I am glad to see you are slowly taking back the positive pieces of yourself you once thought were lost due to negative drama in your past!

  • It was really nice getting to know more of your background. You're a great person -- you deserve the best! I hope a lot of people see this video because I think it could change the world.

  • Hi there, Robin. I think I can understand some of what your feeling. It seems we all have negativity in our lives (I should know this first hand), but what makes us all unique is we all have different ways of dealing with such things. I practice martial arts, chanting and such. I like the way you express yourself here. Keep it up.

  • As Iyanla Van Zant would say.. "BE a great day Robin...BE a great day."  hugs, Chris :}

  • ...but anyway...you're great! be kind to yourself!

  • you are looking healthy robin...sidestepping the slappers is my new goal..can't always be done...but..removing negative people from life...me too...tired of trying to be the healer only to make myself sicker...i love your videos...i feel graced to know you even through this remote medium...

  • Really great vlog, Robin!! I love hearing your thoughts - they reflect so many of my own. Thank you for sharing!

    -Duke

  • You are one of the most inspirational vloggers on the net. Thanks for your honest and forthright videos. They certainly must touch everyone lucky enough to have found you. You are beautiful!

  • Very powerful words. You're so strong and inspirational. You shared something very personal with us. Most people would not admit depression, their negative background, and the fact that they're estranged from their mother. And you're sharing from a position of strength. You are very courageous, and I think you're above average.

  • In our society we have to practice more tolerance for one another. For example, the person that pointed out your 'anyway' repetition has now given you a complex about it. And I'm sure they didn't mean any harm. Just imagine what happens when people are called 'stupid, dumb, lazy, or ugly. I'm an unemployed social work graduate so don't mind me. I love your wall color, it's very soothing.

  • You are immortal.

  • It's just like that Mary J. Blige song "No More Drama".

  • Indeed

  • You are an African-American woman living under the oppression of a white male dominated society. You live under probably three levels of oppression. I'm a white woman and I live under the oppression of financial struggle and the white male. Being slapped down time and time again would get ANYONE to think and feel negative...

  • spokenlife

you should check out John Trudell

he has some vids on youtube

i think you might like his work :)

  • It is my experience that there is nothing else like the surrender found in a broken heart. There is no pretense to this type of acceptance. On that happy note I am going to bed too. Dream well Robin thanks for the videos.

  • I can relate to this so much... Whether you made a point with this one or not, you certainly did make valid points... The whole getting rid of negativity... I know that's what I'll do when I'm old enough to move out. My mom and dad... They won't be a part of my life at all, because they make me feel like a lesser person... They make me feel worthless, and I can't have that kind of negativity in my life. I think that's somewhat the same point you made... Thanks, I enjoyed this video. =)

  • Wow, that second sentence didn't really make any sense. Let me rephrase. Whether you made one overall point, you did make plenty of small valid points. There. That's what I get for typing at two in the morning. XD

  • I love what you said, "Everybody will find a better way, if given enough time." Thanks.

  • oh man i can relate

  • Thank you, I enjoy your videos. Stay strong, love and God Bless

  • I agree. There are times I struggle too and its always because of someone else who threw a ball that impacted my heart. I have lived my life not being one of those types of persons but its not always easy. Its good that you choose to not give in and keep fighting. ~Raven
