People leave India because there are 1.2 Billion people there and not as many jobs (4 times the population of US). And, by the way, India has twice the number of jobs as US offers. Yet, the sheer population burdens the workforce. There are too many skilled and talented people with no jobs left for them to fill and so they move to US, UK, Australia and other countries as a last resort (or some times as a financial alternative).

The community of women engineers was large, vibrant and successful. At least 70% came from other countries: S. Caste system is a residual remnant of 12,000 years of social evolution on Indian society. Modern India is mostly unaffected by it. It is being phased out.
