  • um, bench shirt anyone? Lemme see raw.

  • That's cool but I bet u he can't clap his hands. Haha

  • Comment removed

  • lol wtf is the sense of that thing they wear? if they cant do a raw lift whats the point? isnt powerlifting suppose to measure your true strength? thats like athletes taking steriods isnt it

  • @617tnt no that thing is so his bones dont snap.. his muscles have no problem lifting it, but bones dont get stronger. Muscles can overexceed bones strength thats why you see power lifters in the olypics snap their bones, but seem like they are lifting it easy up until that moment.

  • @617tnt well doesnt that mean he cant lift it then? i mean bones are part of your body and if your bones snap then that must mean there body cant handle it right? just saying lol

  • he actually benched about 550 because he got so much help

  • lol suddenly my 205 doesnt seem so great...

  • 6 inch range of motion...............what a joke

  • @gatewood99

Every person on youtube that has tried 700 lbs is wearing that strap vest. Take the strap off and lets see. Larry Allen the only person I've seen do this.

  • snowblitz, apparently, you level of knowledge of physics, decline bench pressing vs.

flat bench pressing is obvious. As I stated, if I were the judge, this lift would be declined!!-Bench pressing, let me repeat is keeping the butt on the bench-then shoulders exert themselves then the arms extend the barbell to completion.

Moreover, I have competed in strongman/powerlfiting competitions, the judges there ALL require strict lifitng

    Stay strong!!

  • haha, he goes down 6 inches.

  • Oh children .... It's so funny to hear all of these viewers criticize when they are sub 225lbs benchers. He does have perfect form for a powerlifter , do your homework. You will not find a powerlifting video with someone without there back arched or no chest out or no short rom . It's about creating POWER.. And moving maximal loads . Don't get on here , letting crap come out of your mouth when u have no idea. Go to the gym, press ur own bw , and then we will talk.

  • @lardbake well said buddy, this guy deserves respect. People really don't know how unbelievable heave 700 pounds is..

  • Why is he in a straight jacket?

  • Benching with a shirt is like using a bike for a 100 meter sprint

  • The arch in his back makes this a decline bench press as opposed to a bench press-If I were the judge this would be a failed attempt.

How much can you bench press without the arch?

  • well not entirely true the arch helps keep the stress off your shoulders and joints. when you lift your butt is when it makes it more of a decline.

  • @thew47 are you fucking serious?...go learn about powerlifting, the arch gives him POWER. its all about maximum power output.and if you were the judge?... well i can tell from your comment you aren't certified or understand competition lifitng what so ever. quit running your mouth, his form was perfect.

  • The guy has some of the shortest arms ever.

  • @tooz56 Ya and hes wearing a bench shirt

  • ok yah strenght does play a toll in thenfight but still technique is better and yah you probably could beat a 160 lb 16 yeaar old ........is that somthing to be proud of??

  • and i would take fighting abilities over strenght any time hands down

  • wow the one thing i hate about power lifting is the stuped fat pop bellies and dumb shit form plus those stuped little shirt things you where to give u and extra boost its not all him its alot of the shirt just look at hi arms when there bent forward

  • you really are an idiot..

  • People that say weight lifting gives no fighting advantage are generally pussies who don't like working out and envy those who put the time to improve their overall body strength which makes them more resilient and efficient, as long as your not extremely bulky and mix that in with some cardio.

  • Dimmu why argue with that idiot? He is obviously some computer bencher or fighter and has probably NEVER been in a fight. See if he wants to come fight a few of us powerlifters since our strength doesnt matter:)

  • hlmsabj4, your right, I was wasting my time with that keyboard warrior. I am sure he has slayed thousands of of strong men, in his video games lol. His only skill is vicious typing and a vivid imagination.

  • @hlmsabjr i dont know who u talking to but just thought i add my 2 cent since u top comments lol being strong doesnt mean u can fight yea it does help to have lots of power in a fight but in my opinion the guy in the video wouldnt intimidate me just saying size dont matter . im 5'8 175 not saying i would kick his ass but he wouldnt neccearilly scare or intimatde me

  • @617tnt Well I am 6' 270 lbs and I know I can fight. Doesn't mean I like to or want to but people that run their trap like you usually gets what is coming to them. Hope you aren't one of those keyboard warriors. I didn't intend to offend anyone but would rather see the guy get credit for his lifts not worrying if he can fight or not lol

  • you idiot, this is a powerlifting setup and is part of making your lift heavier.

  • look how short his arms are.... thats cheating...

  • guys so fuckin round he barly had to bend his arms. His travel wasnt very impressive, but 700 lbs... he still moved it. so good job

  • how is that 700 pounds? how much do the weights each weigh? and bar?

  • perfect lift. if it wasnt the announcer for the competition wouldnt say it was a perfect benchpress.

  • Im not saying this guy couldnt do it but benching with your back arched like that makes it a shit ton easier. Lay with your back flat and lets see what you got.

  • big lip pussy eh? Nice one.... But i say if he could really do it, he wouldn't need 5 guys to balance it out for him.

  • dude, its 700 lbs.

  • wat issn dat für ne scheiße. dat hat doch nix mehr mit bankdrücken zu tun

  • this is shit hes wearing a benchshirt and walks around like a douchebag, raw only for me

  • I bet this guy can't fight for shit

  • lol he can probably kick your ass

  • I doubt it very much. Just because someone has a good bench-press doesn't make them a good fighter.

  • yeah, good point.

  • It doesn't mean they are a good fighter, but it means that a well landed punch can cause massive damage. But yeah a strong bench press isn't a win all measuring tape.

  • DimmuBorgir007 WRONG!!! A power punch is about technique and speed. The strongest punchers are those that can get their entire body weight behind it. TECHNIQUE beats just strength EVERYTIME! ! !

  • And a very strong punch requires OVERALL body strength. Most of your punching power comes from your legs and travels up to your upper body. What good is technique if your a 110lb pussy who never lifted in his life? Your wrong by presuming its all about technique. BOTH FUCKING THINGS MATTER. I know a dude who pressed roughly close to 500lb for a max and got into a fight. It only took him one hit to knock the other guy out, literally. The guy was unconscious and suffered broken ribs.

  • Technique means utter shit if there is no decent body strength to put it to use.

  • The dude was knocked out with only one hit to the face I mean. He did hit him a few times elsewhere. Making sure that was clear.

  • WRONG DimmuBorgir007, if that were the case all heavy-weight boxers would focus on bench-pressing. also explain why bruce lee had a hell of a punch? he was a super-light-weight

  • LOL You are ill informed. I knew you would mention Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee was an incredibly strong guy pound for pound. Read articles about his training. He engaged in strenuous STRENGTH training. He had STRENGTH as well as technique. I never said bench pressing was the make all to a fight. I said that strength plays a key role as well. Squatting will also make your hits heavier, leg drive. And punching a bag increases deltoids size AND strength. There is a reason there are WEIGHT CLASSES.

  • Like I said, no strength with a lot of "technique" harbored in one's mind just means the person will get knocked the fuck out, but would have known what to do if the person had the physical ability to back it up. Many people apparently think the real world is some sort of karate film. Everything count's in the real world, including STRENGTH. I have seen it dozens of times and I'm sure I will continue to see it in the future.

  • Wrong again dude! Technique overcomes strength any day of the week.

For example if somebodies uses a technique to punch someone else, you for example (lol), in the eye or ear. That technique is going to be more effect than simple whacking you in your head randomly.

  • You are hilarious. Who the fuck is stupid enough NOT to go for someone's eyes or neck. That takes no technique, its common sense. Why do you think Bruce Lee was so ridiculously strong? He would weight train almost compulsively. Not only that, besides lifting weights, he would lift odd objects. Its becoming rather clear now that you don't know what your talking about LMAO If weight lifting had no fighting purpose UFC fighters and martial artist such as Bruce Lee would have never done it

  • your legs are usually three times as strong as your arms, your waist generates 500% more power in a punch . your mentality when punching is important too (some can hit so hard their arms dislocate, but slow down ALOT when hitting a punching back). i'd say.. sure physicue is important, but its not as important as technique. an extremely buff body isnt very ideal for fighting either though

  • And extremely buff body isn't ideal for fighting but strength is very important. I agree with you that technique is important, I was just replying to this fag who says that strength means nothing in a fight. Coincidentally Brock Lesnar destroyed Frank Mir in a fight a little less than an hour ago and Brock is the stronger fighter while Mir has been considered the more skilled one. Both by the way are incredibly strong, simply Brock out powers and outweighs Mir.

  • yeah ofcourse strength is important, the one who said that it doesnt matter doesnt know what he's talking about, its not like its some invincible force that moves your body.. .sorry for misunderstaning ya

  • Yeah he doesn't know and its cool, I was just trying to bring the light of reason to his nonsense statement lol

  • did you see the range of motion his arms had? hes probably slow as hell and cant scratch his nuts. anyone could beat him in a fight

  • Probably not good at fighting from being inflexible thought this is NOT someone you would want to actually get a hold of you in a fight. A hit from someone like that isn't pretty to say the least.

  • though*

  • Guy looks retarded.... And he also had like 5 guys help him pull it up.....

  • they're called spotters dumb fuck

  • No shit sherlock! 5 spotters that you can see holding the weight with their hands as he brings it up. You're supposed to only help him if he can't get it up. So i guess he couldn't do it... :( Sry if i hurt your feelings pussy!

  • obviously your the big lip pussy ass retard. they are not pulling it up for him. its alot of weight so they try to keep it balanced while he lifts dipshit!

  • brandon why do even bother to argue with idiots?

  • i wonder if any of these guys know how ridiculous they look with such big arms

  • big fat roid/hormone waterbloated pig roid abusers.

  • oh yea well super beast can lift 820

  • This is not raw so how is this impressive? (I mean obviously he can bench a shitload but compared to the other powerlifters)

  • agreed,

    in a raw bench press,

my guess is that he'd only hit in the high 500,

    but still a good amount.

  • i dont want to be a hater but I ran Track for many years and it takes the best to be able to run a 9 minute 2 mile or under. People that do that are state champions and national placers.

  • man what is he wearing across his chest and shoulders?..

  • a powerlifting bench shirt

basically a suit thing for pussies that cant bench normal

  • it's called spotting you bonehead. This is a competition, do you think they would let the spotters lift the weight for him? Go back to your 170 lb. benchpress and don't hurt yourself.

  • he has lifted fuck all on his own cant you see the both guys on each side helping him lift it like to see him lift it clean with out any suport

  • okay, lets set up a wrestling match between this guy and your skinny little mile running ass and we'll see who's stronger....bonehead.

  • Well if they call that strong i'd like to see him run a mile in under 5 minutes. Being strong is about carrying your own weight not pushing a heavy bar a few inches!

  • im sorry you dumb ass but this is powerlifting, how fuckin track and field, no wait how bout you bring a skinny fuck from your damn place who runs the damn marathon to bench 700 pounds

  • Shut the fuck up u toss, i can easily bench over 400lbs raw and also run 2 miles in 9 minutes. i've only been training 3 years have a look at my vids even thou they're old. I'm 6'2 and 255lbs and dont look as rediculous as that fool. I train 100% for strength and also compete i know a few lard arses like that1 and they just succomb to cardiac arrest by the time they're 50 lol.

  • first of all i shur u wont be able to bench 700 in ur lifetime, second power lifters are one of the more trained and athletic ppl in sports, not saying the best, but u cant challenge them at what they dont do by saying run a mile under 5 min, well who gives a damn is they can or cant they dont run for pete sakes they effin life weights!

  • Well said man, I agree.

  • 2 miles in 9 minutes...at 255 lbs? Laughable. Do the math man. That is a 4:30 mile, which means your time is equal to that of a 2:20:00 marathon, or on a track, running about 1:07 per lap, or 32 consecutive 17 +/- sec laps. Idiot.

  • that guys probably carrying over 2 and a half times his weight right there, your bitch ass probably couldnt do your own body weight

  • Actually man if you can read, you'll see i said i weigh 250lbs and bench over 400lbs- which is much more than i weigh! I have a vid on my profile of me doing 400lbs but that is old now. I've been training 4 years so got a long way to go but not going to end up looking like that lard arse , Mariousz now he's an athalete to look up to.

  • lol true

  • large bench press doesnt make you strong at all in my opnion

  • i could do 285 when i was 16 i weighed about 195 and could sqwat just a tad over 500

  • damn nice

  • I remember when that was once cool back in the 80's. Fat guys need something to look good about. He pushed it a whole 3 inches

  • that guy reminds me of a toad...

  • thats cheap ass benching right there hell if i arch my back about 5-6 inches then where its suppose to be then id lift more than i do people like this need to lay flat on the back then bench not arch there back so the bar is like 4 inches from there chest . its call cheap benching real talk

  • thats how they do it in powerlifting, because they are A) bringing their chest closer to the bar so its easy and B) squeezing their shoulder blades together so they have more power. The point isn't to isolate the chest, like in bodybuilding, the point here is to bench the most weight possible.

  • DAMMMM!!! Thats a stiff ass dude

  • that's just caues of his bench shirt

  • danny shelton football player at my school is 16 and bench presses 365 lbs. before he turns 17 he will bench over 400, it's possible

  • terrible form arching your back dat much. i hate when assholes do that shit. fuck dis guy hes a fucking fag.

  • I beleive it could and can be done. I'm nto saying what i did was particulary badass or anything... but without actually practicing benching or anything i did 210 (one rep)... My strength came from Football + rugby... He claims to weightlift like 2+ hours every day... It could definatly be acheived in my opinion ... Not saying that kid can.. but it could be done

  • In grade 10 weightlifting (PE) i benched 210 when i was 5'8" and weighed 140-145 lbs... I didn't even really lift weights back then (when i was 14-15) 305 is beleivable for a 16 year old

  • well, one of the 15 year olds on my football team benches 285, and he only weighs 180. so i think it is deffinitly possible for a 16 year old to bench 305 if he's real big, and really works hard

  • i play soccer and we lift twice a day for an hour and a half each

    so fuck yall

yall are probably fat fucks gettin mad at me

    haha dumb fat bitches

  • thats not even a benchpress thats his max..and hes so fat he doesnt go all the way down..go down like 10 inches then tell me

  • yeah but YOU can't even bench 400 lbs so stfu

  • i agree i hate these lifts, stomach should only be allowed to go up soo high

  • he can do it cuz his stomach practitly touchs the bar as it is lol

  • lol i love reading your comments XD

  • these fat fucks with back arches have to go down like 3 fuckin inches

    jesus christ

im fuckin thin and im 16

    i bench 305

loose some weight then try it again

not so easy anymore fuckin bitches

  • he benched 700 pounds.. enough said.

  • if he had good for he could probably only do half that but half that is still alot more then i cand o and even though it was bad form he still ebcnhed 700

  • ok when you guys can bench fucken 700 pounds arched or not, you can start talking your shit, but right now, no proof no nothing, please shut the fuck up.

  • if that's a bench press im ronnie coleman

  • what video is everybody watching?

that my dumb ass people is a pitcure perfect contest bench!

    watch and learn.

    or just shut up.

    GREAT JOB!!!

  • I know what's with the bad form and bench shirts? Seriously who showed these people how to bench press? lol..

  • first of all because of his steroids being McDonalds triple cheeseburgers his chest isnt that hard to touch. second of all his back goes up like 5 inches.

  • you guys suck hard!!!! thats not how to bench press.

  • i am tired of watching these guys using bench shirts i just want to see raw records.

  • I seen this guy hit a 1,000 pounds before, but man he has a large back arch

  • Wearing a bench shirt and his spotters helped him quite bit. Strong dude but he should act like he can really lift 700.

  • couldn't quite see it with all the jobbers around helping him lift the weight. "That lift is good!" My ARSE it was.

  • lol i bet he cant scratch his own back

  • id like to see you post the video of you lifting 550 with your pinky toe.

  • he only lifted like 550..his spotters took the rest of the weight

  • spotters guide the direction or get ready to catch it, the only time any of the spotters applyed pressure the weight was when the 1 in da middle pulled at the start if u lifted u wouldn't have said somthing retarted like dat

  • Spotters are NOT meant to guide the bar - they should only be ready to catch the weight and pull it off of him should he fail to complete the lift. There is no powerlifting federation in which it is considered acceptable to have spotters touching the bar after the lift-off.

  • i ment guide it when it sways left right forwards or backwords not the whole time

  • Can you say tool man what an fn tool

  • they helped him

  • bad spotting

the spotters are lifting 1/4 of the weight

  • DIESEL

  • LetsHaveAAbortion is right but i still say his friends are helping him

  • I would love to see some of you bad-mouthers even get that much weight off of the bar, chances are that most of the dingbats who bitch about videos like this, are the guys who can't even bench their own body weight.

  • Whats the point, he's a big fat ass, and he's holding the bar with hands too wide apart, not making the most of the chest workout eh? its prob 60:40 to the shoulders -_-

  • Powerlifting isnt about working the chest. It's about pushing up as much weight as possible.

  • hahahah good lift but that guy doesnt look like he could even clap his hands together...i wonder how he functions, id never want to get that big

  • lol hes strong, but dang hes only going down about 4 inches.

  • i could do a lot with a bench shirt

  • yea ehsb2001 is right if that was a benching compatition it wouldnt be counted as a good bench press who knows if the spotters were helping him.

  • i do that much on a bad day

  • Benching with a bench press shirt is a joke. He's strong definately, but get real. Also, the spotters should keep their hands off.

  • yes! now take of this shirt and do at least one rep without it! i would like to see him... Put your back on the bench... lol

  • the guys helped him go down with it and come up with it..id liket o see him do it without their help

  • show me a 700 raw

  • fucking weak, go all the way down tubshit

  • Yeah.....why don't you do it RAW? R U SCARED?

  • lol raw? the raw record is set at 700.... so yea they are scared

  • lol maybe the dudes spotting him helped him like 690 lbs

  • That guy thinks he's hardcore... but he looks like shit LOL

  • Since when have looks had ANYTHING to do with power??

  • did u know theres a guy who raw bench presses 700....

  • Those guys must be his bitches

  • why dont you go to nayionals and see it up close bitch

  • your right i cant bench 700 lbs with a shirt i can do 800 bitch and im only 18 so fuck you eagleface68 your the hater

  • lol im sure you can tough guy 800lbs only 18 yrs old well post a vid then and impress us all

  • what the matter about the shit??

  • how much is that in KGs ?

  • approximately 317.5 kilos

  • you fools this is not a a human being ..that was a some kind of alien form .

  • To All the Haters:

    You couldn't bench 700 with a shirt.

  • i see wear your coming from a no shirt is more beast like but a shirt really only helps u get it off ur chest the rest is all u shirts no good once u get it off ur chest

  • I have to agree that it is hard to be impressed by a guy benching with a shirt on. It takes away any appeal because it's not accurate. I would be FAR more impressed with a 600 raw bench rather than a 1000 pound shirt bench. Shirts are ruining the sport IMO.

  • Impressive to us lightweights. But Scot Mendelson has done 1008lbs in a shirt and 715 raw. Keep trying.

  • thank you for updating me on the record.

  • It wasn't meant as criticism. I'm very impressed by anyone who can put 6 or 7 hundred pounds over their head. I can barely do 400. I would just caution any power lifter to regularly watch all of their vital signs and have regular cardio evaluations. When you read of a 148 lb girl who can bench 400, it's somewhat intimidating to one's masculinity, and I wonder about her health also.

  • Everyone on the internet can bench 400+.

    ..Great lift spaggit.

  • Including my grandson! And 25 years ago, I could do more. How about you?

  • respect to all you guys and all powerlifters. shirts or no shirts most of them are strong as all fuck.

  • Bodyweight is generally 275 - 308 lbs. In the bench video it was 304.6 lbs. Now lets hear your story. Do you lift in full meets? What are your full meet pr's? What weight class do you lift in?

  • I have benched raw before, but not in competition. I benched 500 lbs raw just a little over a month ago with a pause. I lift in full meets, so I don't train the raw press that much. Best lifts are: Sq = 850 lb, B = 650 lb and DL = 705 in a full meet all were pr's at the time. Bench only meet = 700 lb also a pr.

  • If you didn't want to be disrespectful, then maybe you shouldn't assume that I am a fag or a pussy. I have never met you, so I can't judge you. Maybe you should just ask me straight up why I don't bench raw instead of assuming that I am a pussy or a fag for using a bench shirt.
