  • what's with the truck spraying water @3:50? Is it for helping with traction?

  • Thank you for a real picture.

I made a gantry for three stage water rockets.

I am happy if I have you look.

  • i love american space shuttle is more better than ussr russia cheap buran space shuttle

  • america should thank Germanys Werner Von Braun ,all the apollo missions even todays missions are based on his work !!!

without him united states wouldnt have shit!!

  • want to see fulll nasa launches In HD

    click on my channel (skafadivx)

  • Is that gang grafitti on the nose@6:22?..damn kids :(

  • Actually that is the RCS. They have them all covered until launch.

  • Wow, are you joking... Because if your serious you really are kinda clueless... LOL, I'm sure you are joking though...

  • I know Who Dr Rober H, Goddard is what work he did and how Nasa made digitised earth possible on the pc, Goddard was building Rockets A long time Before Germany And Second World War, and When V1 rockets where discovered Poland captured one for us after peenamunda, von Braun Became a Prisoner of Peace along with his staff, All in All Our Space Race Has Been Slow, and why is it theres so much debrit outside our atmospere or alian junk

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. :-) Great video.

    @phsoftnet

Stealing? Interesting choise of words. Do I have to remind you that it was actually Europeans like Wernher von Braun (German) who was one of the first astronautics engineers and became later director of NASA?

This is not about stealing, it's about sharing and cooperating with other nations, it's about people who share the same dream.

  • I think the whole concept of exploring space and space travel is amazing. I get shudders when i see launches.. cus someday soon hopefully we will be breaking past earth's orbit and beyond the moon

  • The Shuttle Lunch was Perfekt...Thank you for this Great video:-)))

  • i meant international, g's louise.

  • I can't wait til we people are granted the access to shuttle to and fro earth to moon to internation space station.

  • After the shuttle fleet is retired is there a new designed replacement fleet in the works?

  • The answer is yes. It is called "Orion" and it looks like a larger version of the "Apollo" craft used to send men to the moon.

  • The "Orion" spacecraft will replace the space shuttle after the shuttle is retired.

  • I'm hopefully will be testing it

  • This video is awesome. Will the space shuttle help with defending our nation? No. But it will help keep our nation worth defending.

  • Wow. I think this is one of my all time favorite comments! Well put!

  • What's wrong with Youtube?

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."

I have the latest Adobe internet plug-ins! :S

  • What is this supposed to prove? Exhibition work? It might as well be in a museum

  • if you think this is cool try:

the tale of the german an his fridge

    really good!!!

  • like watching grass grow

  • I like the contrast of the delivery vehicle to the launch.

  • $1.7 billion dollar grass.

It's the calm before the storm. The slow moving process before they shoot the thing in to space traveling at 17,500MPH. It's beautiful, scary and awe inspiring.

  • If you dont believe astronauts. who can you believe?

  • I know its not obvious, but NASA is the front organisation setup to use the 20yr old offcut technology from the Military. NASA was founded by freemasons (check that for yourself) and is a distraction from the small hightech military space program.

NASA control and airbrush their images of UFO craft before sale to the public.

If you scoff at this info it will be that you havent checked it out, this information is actually out there.

  • THe question is ... who cares and what difference does it make. He, they, she, it. At the end of the day we have greater understanding. Without NASA there would be no you-tube.

  • I have checked it out, all BS. Simple science and an understanding of real politics kills every argument I have seen.

And yes, we did land on the moon too.

  • i mean, its not bad to aspire to be innovative and advanced but not to the extent that if another country or organization does something it should be considered like a bad thing happened

  • This video works greatly as reference. Being able to see a spacecraft so close has a kind of a deep sense.

The technology must keep on improving and it will, no doubt about it. It would be great if the world used more money on space programs instead of wasting it in the war. It looks like the technology is advancing faster than we are as humans. Thanks for the video!

  • hey this scene looks like the movie, Armageddon... remember? they used 2 shuttles to save us...

  • how the hell did i get to this!?!:S

  • she is beautifull. i tried learning about space and plus math came with it but it was hard to learn it. i still hhave a interest i space tho. i hope one day i'll have enough money to take a trip there. meanwhile which from the ground up. always loved space will always love it to.

  • Yeah, lets do that program instead of fixing our economy...

  • First, they don't need to be mutually exclusive. We can fix our economy and push for the stars at the same time.

Second, by stopping the creation of next generation spacecraft, we'll be opening that market up for other countries and lose a huge section of our technology / science economy to those who can maintain scientific research centers. We're already seeing a brain drain due to the LHC in Europe, which is good for them, bad for the US.

  • why does america have this unyeilding need to be the first in every single thing? i mean, ofcourse it never hurt anybody but as dirckson said america is coming off a bad time where it needs to recover financially and economicaly and then start thinking about space.

  • If we always wait for all of our problems to be resolved, we'll never advance in anything. There will always be an issue with something. If it is not the economy it will be a war. If not war then some scandal. If not scandal then some polocy people disagree with. There is always something.

There is no need for science and government to be mutually exclusive. We can fix the economy and advance the human race at the same time!

  • i dont mean that u have to fix everything to start research and innovation but dont turn it to the extent that an invention or any progress done by anyone else is considered a loss or a disadvantage, on the contrary it gives everyone a new high to reach and its ok for someone else to reach coz its not like theres a limit..

  • and its not realy bad for america that other people invent new technology because in the end it will all benefit mankind, this is like the man on the moon which wasn't supposed to be a race because its a step for MANKIND not for america and it didn't have to matter who took that step and probably would have happened sooner if the countries involved at the time would have worked together.

  • Then why has no one, NASA included been back since 1972?

  • The war, is the real drag on the economy. Billions of dollars literally up in smoke.

  • Spaceflight, manned and unmanned, has a return of investment of 7 to 1. If NASA funding is cut, it would affect EVERYONE, worldwide, drastically.

  • Here go's a 27+ year old craft...stoneage!

I thought Bush said we go to Mars?

  • The Space Shuttles are being retired in 2010 to make way for the new Ares rocket and Orion crew capsule. That project, known as Constellation, is currently underway.

First we go back to the moon, then on to Mars.

  • Almost like raiding in World of Warcraft lol. "We'll be starting on gruul's and when we've grinded gruuls for epics we're going on to Tempest Keep"

  • wow wow wow wow dude i have never seen a reference to world of warcraft in something this sophisticated dude i love you to death now lol that was funny

  • Unrelated but will you be showing first videos of NASA's successor to the space shuttles as the pieces start to come together? Or will we have to wait untill a few years untill it's almost 100% done? I think it'd be neat to track its progress with the public, so we can learn and grow with its progression to be more 'in touch' and care more about it!(more than we do now^^)

  • We try to get our hands on any videos we can and have already done a few stories on Constellation. Since STS-125 is so close to launch most of our content is that mission, but after that we'll go back to any human space flight news.

It's not just Constellation that we'll be covering, but the X PRIZE competitions, Virgin Galactic, the ESA, Russia's space program, XCOR, Space Adventures, SpaceX so forth and so on.

Now that we're a partner channel, you'll see a lot more videos on YouTube from us!

  • what is the day of the sts-126 launch ?

  • Great question. Problem is that since STS-125 keeps getting delayed, that is affecting STS-126. Having said that, launch is slated for November 13th, 2008 at 1:43am UTC.

  • it is unbelievable! it is first time for me to watch this in detail. maybe you can watch China's great works in 25th Sept.by the way, how about the height of this space shuttle and the moving equipment.

  • If we can get any video of China's launches, we will certainly post them. Alas, getting that video is a lot harder than getting video from NASA :(

  • you are right. have you been to CHINA? maybe several months later we can get some vedio from some BBS. maybe....

  • well I just happen to hate the Chinese. So go fuck yourself.

  • hi, boy, I think you should go to school again!!!

  • Ignorant racist a**hole!

  • The USA & USSR only deserve credits for space exploration.

Europeans & Chinese only stole some pieces of space exploration experience from the USA after 50 years...and they're proud of it too!! hehe

    (btw, im european)

  • is it true what you said, how do you know it.you work in that place?

  • OMG look near 10:45 it tips over in to the ground

  • LOL, it doesn't tip over. Once on the pad in a vertical position it stays there until it either launches or needs to be removed and brought back to the VAB.

  • w00t!
