  • @Saint305XL 440 hz is what you want:) 430 hz would be slightly flat if your playing guitar with other musicians.

  • this was honestly the most helpful guitar tuning tutorials i have ever watched thank you SO MUCH

  • ahh i get it your in tuned with your self cause your top string may not be tuned but your tuning it with your other string but with piano you tune your top string with the piano note lol

  • What key is a guitar tuned to in standard tuning?

  • thanks for the video...i've been out of tune for 10+ years because I was too cheap and I screwed up on the 4th fret part..:). I will get the tuner and save this video to remember how to tune right.

  • Look at almost any guitar/music shop. Ask a salesperson, they definitely sell them.

  • where could you get the tuner?

  • @episiswhatiam ebay!

  • hey really thanks a lot this helped me a lot..

  • Thnx so much! This is really helped me! I've had a guitar for a long time (4 years) but I have only used it to muck around by myself, but now I really wanna learn how to play it properly! Thnx again! :)

  • "definitely work 15 bucks to be, in tune, with the rest of your life"

  • very helpful dude!

  • Iam trying to learn the bakery by arctic monkeys in this life time arctic monkeys -3

  • sounds hard can't we use ur guitar to tune are guitar lol

  • I've just started learning guitar, restrung my guitar and am now trying to tune it. Using a chromatic tuner the same one in your video. I have been able to tune the strings to the right notes but when i check it again after tuning other notes they have gone off slightly, could this be to do with how i tied it?

  • @samile123 After you've put new strings on your guitar, they tend to get a little slack. It happens everytime. Don't worry, you haven't tied them incorrectly or anything. Just keep retuning it until your strings settle down and you shouldn't have as much trouble.

  • i have watched alot of videos to tune by ear so far this has been the easiest for me

  • Thank you, this worked for me.

  • how i wish i had that tuner thing... :(

  • All good musicians like John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix etc knew "standard" A=440 sounds like crap. It is a very harsh sound. Try tuning to A=444, that's where the magic's at. It is much smoother and fuller. You can set most guitar tuners to 444hz instead of 440. Your music will come to life! peace

  • I lost mine. And my mom says I cant get another one.for the (4th) time. I JUST wanna know which strings sound like what. so I can play. SIMPLE.AS.THAT.

  • @2468haleyy its not though, it depends on what music you play there is not a 'proper' way strings should sound its just how people hear them which make people want it to play flatter or higher pitched

  • I lost my tunerrrrr. :( It can tune any instrument with strings.. BUT I LOST IT! :(((((

  • THANK YOU SOOOO mUCH!!!!

my guitar sounded like shit before

  • hi, my sis's guitar is 26", in length, it's the small one right? i dont think its the full one.

  • @meezsims2luver956 ...then you have a piece of shit guitar? Lmao

  • @meezsims2luver956 theyre just visual guides that help you find the neccessary fret easier. theyre helpful but not required and have nothing to do with tuning

  • how do i know if my low e is out of tune?

  • @TheJuzMii good question! the way i used to do it was find a song that I KNOW had the Big E string in the song I used to use Black Sabbath Electric Funeral It has an E in the main part. But remember ALL pro players use a tuner :)

  • @TheJuzMii If you want to know if your lower - e is out of tune then hold B string on the fifth court and play it once and then play lower -e free and if they don't sound the same then the lower - e is out of tune

  • mmm. i have a quitar tunner that clips right on how about that my quitar sounds like crap

  • wtf u can tune a piano i didnt know that

  • @1996PhYcOmExIcAn Why are you cursing for?

  • you said subcribe to OUR channel... who is "our"

  • thanks man. this really helped me, keep the vids comin!

  • so the open strings will be

    E – 6th

    A – 5th

    D – 4th

    G – 3rd

    B – 2nd

    E – 1st

and if we tune the 6th string it would sound as a A when struck in the 5th fret?

  • @6pwner It will be the same note, but not the same sound. It'll sound a bit higher on the thinner string.

  • I'm frustrated >=(

I have all my strings tuned perfectly, except my low E. For some reason my tuner just won't let me tune it properly. It always says it's an A or a B. I need a good trick, any body got one??

  • Thanks ..Very Helpfull!!

  • oh man this is confusing.

maybe i dont wanna learn guitar.

  • I popped one of my strings lol

  • Call out the notes you are playing.

  • how much is $15 $20 in british money please ?

  • how do you get the first E string in tune because if you tune the rest of your guitar to that and the first one is out of tune than your guitar will soung crap

  • maybe he uses that digital tuner for E string :)))

btw . . . i came here to ask that question

  • yeah how do you tune the bottom e?!?!!?! i've always wondered this...

  • what do you mean? The first and last strings are both E. Just tune your first one according to the last E.

  • @tottalyme3 u can try comparing your e string to his in the vid thats what i did

  • @tottalyme3 Without a guitar tuner, perfect pitch, or another instrument to tune to (i.e. piano), tuning the first E string is nearly impossible. Assuming its pitch is somewhat close to E, you can tune all the other strings to match its tuning which gets your guitar "relatively" in tune not perfectly in tune. It works if you are going to play by yourself, its not good if you plan on playing with other musicians (of course in that case you can tune to them:). Hope this helps!

  • @guitarplayeru can i use casio ever piano?

  • Where can i find the digital tuner???

  • Where can i go find one of those tuners???

  • soooooo if the highest ( i mean the E string) is off tune how do u tune it?

  • How do I tune Low E if all my strings are out of tune?

  • Thx

    This is helpful

  • is this for eletric also? Or jus acustic.

  • This is for either. There are "alternate" tunings that you can use such as Drop and Open D, but the tuning that I demonstrate here is your "standard" tuning no matter what type of guitar you have.

  • yes!

  • Is that classical?

  • my stupid japanese multi-effect pedal broke down

    thanks man, it helped

  • Ah, my guitar sounds like shit & I'm hopeless. ):

  • @ItsNaomiBaby same here!!! the tuning part makes me not wanna play! waaah!

  • @ItsNaomiBaby

    Mine too, your not alone

  • If all your strings are out of tune that wouldnt work, but still, its good (:

  • t will work, you will be in tune with yourself, i think. if all your strings are out of tune, seearch on the web for standard open string sounds and tune your strings to that

  • Thankyou! It took me ages to find a video that would actually show me what i was doing! I'm now fully tuned! :)

  • you have to have some source for ur 6th E say a piano or some other guitar that has the standard E on it or u can do this i use the budgo tuner for my 6th E and then i tune the rest by ear like this guy on the video

  • Where do you buy the turner?

  • guitar center

  • huh i dont know maybe a MUSIC STORE!!!!

  • at a music/instrutment store

  • how can I tune the 6th string "e" ?? there's no string above it,, so I can't use 5fret method :/

  • if u tune the 5 other strings the 6th will be in tune with the rest

  • 7th fret of A is an octave above low E, so they should ring the same.

  • thankyouuuuu i love youuuu ur amaziiiinggg !!!!

  • can you play what a tuned e string is soupposed to sound like? cause that was helpful, but i think im tuning to a crappy e..

  • I use an A Key harmonica or a pitch pipe. Will be the same open A or the 5th string.

  • hi

i cant get my stings tuned. if someone is good tuning by ear please tell me so i can give my add and then i can use the voice recorder thingy on msn so you can help me tune my guitar.

  • just buy a regular tuner. It's less fustrating

  • yey! thankyouuu! very helpful :D
