  • newer version was good, but I really wish it had been the sheriff...

  • my blind wtf

  • i like the newer version lol...

  • Horror movies aren't scary anymore

  • @weirdscience85 Depends on which ones you see. Some are good but most aren't.

  • @stlouisrocker100 I'll stick to the 80s

  • @weirdscience85 Yeah the 80's had the best.

  • @stlouisrocker100 You should watch this trailer for this movie called The Spookies(1986)it was filmed in late summer 1984 so its very 80s... made me crack up its so funny.. you might have already seen it

  • @weirdscience85 I'll check it out.

  • My Bloody + Valentine, mash those two words together, then shorten it.

    = My Bline

  • Comment removed

  • i might know why he says bline 2 reasons print damage and this 1's unusual bloody was considered a 17+ word

  • I agree the 80's slasher films were classic...way better that todays...sad

  • I'm 18, and remakes of movies are shit. All the 80's horror movies are 10 times better then the remakes for me, but that is probably because my grandma, who is a huge horror fan, made me and my cousins watch these movies when we were like 6 years old. So I was terrified of movies like these..The originals are a lot more scary in my opinion. Btw, gas masks are so..evil..looking lol

  • This should of been on the special edition DVD, but that is still a sweet DVD release

  • Usually the originals are 1000 times better but I didnt really care for this original Bloody Valentine movie. I actaully liked the remake plus it had Tom Atkins!

  • my bl'ine...

  • Well I'm wondering,..twenty years in the future will they also be remaking all of these goddamn movies which are new today ?!!

  • @Skulldini haha so true

  • I would not be surprised if in the distant future, we started seeing Remakes of Remakes, or modern originals

There are actually a few movies that exist today that have been remade more than once, or plan to be.

  • i hope not beacuse nowadays these fucking people dont have any good movie ideas at all did you see the friday the 13th remake jason is not suppose to run he known for walking i hate remakes but some remakes are good

  • @mandeepsinghformula seriously and since when does he kidnap people?! that isssh was wack.

  • the new one licks utter shaft old horror films are better than any of the new ones

  • @TheRamones92 well the new ones are for their time

  • Fuck gypsydavid08.

  • Yep,YearOfTheDead, Yay Canada!!

  • i liked both versions. the original is better. they always are. better story. remake was good, but they focused on high body count in the beginning. overkill there. at least the original had a decent buildup thru the movie

  • Sorry, remake fans. I understand you are young like these remakes. All I have to say is if you are a true film fan, one should appreciate the original. Without it, there would have never been a remake to be remade. I agree with updating some films, but not all. I am glad to see Tom Atkins in the remake. For all you horror buffs out there, you know he is "The Man"! He starred in the original "The Fog" , Halloween III and Night of the Creeps.

  • I still haven't seen this flm, just the remake (which was better than I thought it would be). After reading about all the issues the MPAA had with this film, it's made me want to check it out. Problem is, every store I've gone to, its sold out. Tons of copies of the new one are around, but not this one. Could someone eventually upload the uncut version of this someday so the few of us who have not seen it can finally? That would be great.

  • the original is a legend in the slasher genre but i found it very boring. too slow and predictable stick with the remake if you r looking for a scare

  • my bline? what

  • bline is a combonation of bloddy valentine.

  • this was filmed in Sydney mines, Cape Breton

  • Yay Canada!

  • is the truth that Harry and Axel were killing toghether in the movie? cause Axel says after he cuts his limb off, "im coming harry, we're coming back you bastards!" kinda weird that he would partner with the guy who killed his dad. and they said harry was dead? im pretty sure harry and axel were killing together.

  • I own this movie on dvd I think i have the good version I remember getting it for 19.99 at best buy. It's an awesome film! Look's like some one gave away the ending, which is not good for the people who have not seen it.

  • MY BLINE

  • dude someone needs to upload the whole movie on here i miss this movie

  • there are currently 2 dvd releases of it available the one i have is the crappy edition but it was only like ten bucks at fye

they also have a new uncut edition for like 20 bucks

  • i saw the uncut edition its like 1000x gorier

  • my bline rated R XD

  • How did Harry Warden (the killer) die? its been forever since I've seen it! great movie!

  • An explosion occured in the mine and the killer ( who is actually axel because harry died a couple of decades ago ) loses his arm and at the end you can see him running in the mine screaming sarah will you be my blody valentine.

  • your post should say spoiler you dumbass. or the poster should have hide your post.

  • good movie!

  • he said my bline

  • do you know what would be a good movie it would be other slashers Jason Voorhees vs Michael Myers vs Harry Warden i would like to see that if they made it

  • Yeah-that'd be really GREAT darthroach! Would loove to see it!

    cattman2

  • my roster would have to be

    Jason vs. Harry vs. Ash

  • he said my bline

  • Lol

  • stop advertising that shit!!!!!!!

  • did he say "my blind" and not "my bloody valentine"?

  • sounded like my blin to me

  • sounded like my bins. think he forgot to put em out.

  • Wow, ok but a little cheesy.

  • Go see this movie and over 30,000 more free at greatmovies(DOT)tk

  • Watch movies still in theaters: freemovies4u(dot)tk

  • shut the fuck up retard!

  • iiikkk!

  • if it wasnt for this movie, then there wouldnt be the newer version of it 2-day

  • better than the new 1

  • rated r for retarded

  • I was told that my bline was said because bloddy wasn't alowed to be said on tv at that time.

but I'm not sure how true that is.

  • i think when he says my bline the trailer got cut of before he could finshed saying the rest of bloody and the beggining of valentine

  • Check out: getitfree(DOT)biz(DOT)nf to watch FREE Movies!

  • my bline?? wtf

  • "My BLINE"????

  • LOL! True Grindhouse. LMFAO!!!! I gotta listen to that jump cut again. :)

  • wow another 80's slasher remade, um I guess hollywood decided to do what they usually do in times economic stress make horror films, they did it in the 30's and 70's and 80's and they are doing it now.

  • right at the end when he mentions the title he slurs or something and says "my bline"

  • lol ya

  • It be better if they did a sequel instead of a remake. Fuck remakes, do something yourself or at least take two ideas and copy them and mix them together like Tarrentino.

  • I looked all over for this old classic. It use to show on TNT late at night, and now their remaking it wow!

  • The Prowler. haha. Sounds like the guy who talks over the "Thanksgiving" trailer.

  • LOL go fuck yourself. Not ALL good movies are hollywood gloss.

You know NOTHING of film. Silence.

  • I only watch top class movies. Mediocre movies are uselss to me. I know more about film then you.

  • Then you must live a boring life.

  • And don't say you know more about film than anyone. Even the best film makers and critics love b-movies and can appreciate them and that's a fact.

Curious to know how many films have you made?

  • I like b-movies too.

  • Really? Arn't they "useless" to you?

  • I said that? Damn, what was I thinking. I like this really good B movie called Evil Dead. Have you seen it? It came out the same year as this, but it is my favorite horror film. I also like Pink Flamingos too and many others.

  • Everyone has heard of Evil Dead yeah. Yeah if you read your comments you're like "Fuck this movie, see the Godfather, mediocre movies are useless to me and I know more about film than you." So yeah you could kinda see why I got defensive.

  • B horror films are some of the most entertaining ones. While I like b movies, it's just that I don't think they age as well as some other A classics.

  • I dunno man. Everyone always keeps coming back to them for inspiration and everyone keeps saying "They don't make em like they used to". You never know, maybe over the top b-movies might come back in style. Grindhouse did fairly well after all.

  • Special effects wise, B horror films are the best. High budget horror films these days just use a bunch of CGI and all that junk. B horror movies look much more realistic.

  • Yeah deffinatly. I dunno I just think when you have a low budget it allows you to be more creative. You don't need a high budget on some of these Hollywood films I see.

  • So now when you see everyone jumping down your throat because of your ignorance, you backtrack and now defend the films you condemned a few posts ago?

Again: Go fuck yourself, you know nothing of film. BTW you might want to think about getting on some meds for that little bi-polar issue you have.

  • trailers from the olden days are usually 5 minutes.

is there a theatrical trailer for this, or is this the official trailer? not a tv spot?

  • sure there was but nobody has ever uploaded it. Dead and buried 4ever

I am thankful for this little reminder of my 1981 drive in experience. I saw this on a double feature with FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2

  • wow this looks so cheesy

  • at 0:10

the guy in the gas mask says "shit i missed!"

  • I dunno, the remake looks preety sweet even with cult icon Tom Atkins in it. Maybe it will rank with "Dawn of the Dead" and "Hills Have Eyes" as the best of the recent remakes, maybe it might be as decent as "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" or "Halloween" and not a dud like "Psycho" or "The Fog".

  • hahaha

    he says My B...line

    haha

  • the remake movie is gonna be badass like friday the 13 3 i remember when i saw it in 3-D and so is this gonna be a good one in January 2009 i can't wait it's gonna be in 3-D

  • Harry, I'm coming!

This whole fucking town is going to die

    We're coming back, you bastards

    Sarah, be my bloody Valentine

  • I remember being scared shitless as a kid watchin this movie, nowadays its sooo corny.

I couldnt even listen to Juice Newton on the radio like for ever!

    how gay is that?

  • Juice Newton lol amazing how long ago that was, i remember her, how lame but she fit theh times

  • It's hilarious that they show so many 'key' characters' death scenes in the _trailer_.

That said, I like it. One of the best slasher movies out there, wish they'd air the uncut footage though.

  • maybe they finally will, seeing as the 3-D remake comes out in january..it will most likely be awful, but maybe they'll re-release the original to coincide....they don't make 'em like this anymore....

  • Hello, palehoney! I don't know if you have read this recently, but they are supposed to be re-releasing the original on dvd at the beginning of 2009. With the option of seeing it as the cut,R rated theatrical version or FINALLY (after 28 years) seeing it as the original,un-cut,gore filled version. Woo-hoo!

  • Yeah I've heard that too, IT'S ABOUT TIME DAMMIT! It's coming out January 13th and Amazon is taking pre-orders, I'm tempted to order it already but I want to make absolutely sure it really is going to be uncut this time.

It's also going to have interviews with the people whom played Axel, Sarah and Dave, along with lots of production photos and one's taking by the cast and crew, should be an awesome DVD!

  • lol thought this was about the band..

  • 0:22 my blind?????????????

  • plus, where's my full uncut two-disc set of this film, paramount? you corporate near-sighted fucks! i can get a three-disc uncut dvd set of some obscure euro-cult shit but can't obtain a 'good as apple pie' american horror flick in a decent release. wtf!!??

  • always heed the words of the bartender, they know all.

  • This movie will be remaked.I am not kidding. iT WILL.

  • it has been remade...in 3-D,no less...coming out in January '09...

  • this movie was a bullshit.

the only thing good was the name.

  • Love the edit at the end - "My Bl-ine... rated R". LOL

  • horror movies aint what they used to be. nothing to the imagination. it more or less just a gross out contest

  • Good flick. Tried renting it from Blockbuster the other day. They didn't have it or Terror Train. That's what I miss about those tiny little video stores in the 80's and 90's they always had a huge slasher collection not to mention porn.

  • Never seen this (always wanted to though). I saw "Student Bodies" years ago on a late night "Creature Feature" (Dr. Madblood's Movie in 1989). One of the funniest movies and a great parody of slasher films waayyyyy before "Scary Movie".

  • "Yes" I strongly, strongly agree with you 101 percent." The movies nowadays are nothing but fucking a gore fest and no good story lines or characters." It's a shame so many people forget those little things growing up." I'm a retroactive guy "And i don't give a fuck who knows it!

  • The DVD for "My Bloody Valentine" is out of print, which is BULLSHIT!

The best horror films were made from the middle 1970's to the middle 1980's.

Today's horror is just a bunch of carbon copy, cheap, immitation crap!

how many fucking remakes do we need to see? Can anyone think of anything original?

Dam I miss the old days

  • me too...that is remakes are bullshit. I did happen to find it on DVD one day at HMV...only it's part of a double feature with another classic slice of cheese: April Fools' Day.

  • I've seen that DVD, but I already own "April Fool's Day"

So I didn't want to have another copy. Hopefully a studio like Anchor Bay/Starz or Blue Underground will pick it up.

And yeah, reamkes fucking blow! Hate em. They remade "April Fool's Day". Saw it at the video store the other day and had to laugh, to keep from crying.

  • I shook my head when I heard about the remake. and I am doing it again with news of a remake of My Bloody Valentine coming next year. and as for that double feature, my friend is nuts to get...even though he already has a copy of April Fool's Day.

  • I totally agree, trying to find classic horror movies at Blockbuster is impossible, they don't have crap there.

  • The sad thing is Paramount probably won't release this on DVD a second time. The director originally wanted to present his uncut negative and do special features but they wanted nothing to do with him. I think they just wanted put it out A.S.A.P. and make the quick buck.

Unless they sell the distrubution rights it's not going to happen. Though recently they finally sold the rights to put out "Student Bodies" but I guess that was indy enough they didn't care. They just don't care!

  • Never seen this (always wanted to though). I saw "Student Bodies" years ago on a late night "Creature Feature" (Dr. Madblood's Movie in 1989). One of the funniest movies and a great parody of slasher films waayyyyy before "Scary Movie".

  • With some sort of remake out next year it could spark a lot of interest for this to be released again so you never know.

  • THIS ain't no shoegaze.

  • In Argentina the title was "Aniversario de sangre"

  • because it was censored for television

  • lol it cuts from MY BL to ine and skips the rest.

  • y bline?

  • yes I heard that too y bline.

  • i dont know i checked the other trailers on her and it says the same? If i find out ill let ya know

  • bl oody valent ine

    bline

  • I remember seeing most of the early 80's slasher TV spots, but this is one I missed. I didn't think I ever would either. God bless YouTube!

  • The 80's had some good ones, but the 70's were better.

  • One of my all time favorites. You can tell a true horror fan from the neo fans who think Rob Zombie and Eli Roth are the beginning and end of horror by mentioning this movie. Great under-appreciated movie that deserves to be in the top 20 of the all time greatest horror films.

  • Right on, "Blood Sucking Freaks" and original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "The Hills Have Eyes" etc. etc. are way better than the current Rob Zombie mediocrity.

  • Amen!

Horror movies aren't as good as they used to be:(

  • Too dumbed down and over-the-top. ex: Original 'Hills Have Eyes' had a weird family w/ ONE sort of mutant guy (one of the guys in 'One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest). The remake they ALL were totally messed up just like the 'Toxic Avenger.' Perhaps filmmakers HAVE to do this as the younger generation of kids have the attention span of a fly.

  • Uhhh.

I hated The Hills Have Eyes!

    "Over-the-top" is the perfect word

  • Yes and kids see more graphic horror on the games they play now so movies can barely compete.

  • Amen!

Horror movies aren't as good as they used to be:(

  • Harry, I'm coming!

This whole fucking town is going to die

    We're coming back, you bastards

    Sarah, be my bloody Valentine

  • In Spain the title was "San Valentin sangriento" (Bloody St.Valentine)

  • !!!!!!!

  • hey try to find the TV SPOT for Happy Birthday to Me (1980) that would be great!

  • bline?

  • thanks bleedingskull for posting these great horror movie trailers and tv spots im glad us horror fans have websites like bleedingskull and the flesh farm (just to name a few) to keep underground horror movies alive and i think the best horror movies came out in the 70s the 80s and even the 60s

  • Well, thank you very much. Glad to hear you're enjoying the site!

  • your welcome man i love watching all these underground horror movie trailers and tv spots you have posted keep them coming!!!

  • btw how come the narrator says "MY B-LINE" instead of "MY BLOODY VALENTINE"??

  • Now that I've seen this, it seems to be a different copy from the one shown elsewhere on YouTube, which looks like an off-air recording.

The TV commercial seems to have the word "bloody" cut out of the audio as a result of an unwritten rule about some things being OK to show on the screen, but not to be heard.

  • o man this movie is awesome. but that guy happy, his death was cut, (which sucks, even though the death was really vioelnt) he got a pickaxe throw his chin and out his eye socket. GROSS

  • i luv this horror movie.

  • One of my favourite horror films...

  • One of my favorite horror films. Thanks for posting the promo.

  • I remember this commercial on tv - I was turning 9 on my b-day (valentine's day) and i wanted to take my friends to see this movie, my mom wouldn't let me, i was pissed! Probably good thing though as i look back on it. Decent slasher movie from the good old days.

  • Awesome TV spot; I love the graininess and the narrator's voice. If you pay close attention, you get to see a split-second scene that wasn't in the final video/DVD release!

  • Man, do you realize how rare this is?

  • I like these old commercials.

  • I agree with joshq123.

  • My third favorite slasher. So great! I miss it. :(

Anchor Bay, Guilty Pleasures, Code Red...whoever's out there...we need a Special edition!!!

  • Pretty decent slasher but I refuse to buy any Paramount DVD due to extreme cenorship and cuts of the movie. Maybe Code Red DVD will release it with Original Cover Art and UNCUT. The Paramount photoshop covers suck so bad. We want the old Original stuff!

  • we should all like sign a petition to Paramount and ask them to make "MY BLOODY VALENTINE 2-DISC SPECIAL UNCUT EDITION" and the second disc could be packed with special features. and what FortressOfEvil said, with the orginal cover art. that would rox! lets make a petition, cause i want the gore@!!!!

  • where do i sign? paramount is the worst, they like to pretend that these slasher films of the 80's did not exist, but they made money.

at least warner brothers is seeing the error of their ways by releasing eyes of a stranger and deadly blessing soon.

  • Who's the narrator on this trailer?

  • And appropriate for the upcoming occasion :P.

  • It would be nice if you wouldnt RUIN THIS by having to add your 'TAG' to the begining and end!

  • Yeah, I know. It's a tough world out there, as Harry Warden can surely attest to.

  • a truly top film i remember it well.
