@zeretil why not use fraps? it records much better, and it doesn't make your games as laggy. also, it might be your monitor/screen depending on how old it is. I suggest giving fraps a try

It would probably not be the best quality videos, but it would at least be "watch-able" videos, right? I've tried Camstudio lately and also switched media player from GOM to VLC, but the output video is still lagging quite a bit. Would it be better if I used a different software? If that's the case which one? If you need anymore specs from my computer just let me know. xD

Never mind, sound problem fixed. I updated my driver, and then I was able to select "stereo mix" as my recording device. Before, FRAPS would record sound, but other programs wouldn't.
