    chile rose tarantulas need bone dry... no moss, or no wet moss

    dont use heat mats!

  • @Lewisffitch whatever tarantula you get next, DONT use the soil in gardens. It dries to dust and is (might be) contaminated with fertilizres and pesticides and use what i use... coco fiber potting soil

  • dont listen to him rose hair tarantulas come from an area with NO rainfall, they like the soil dry as you can get it. all you need is a hide and water dish and ventilation. just overfill the water dish a little bit thats all they need.

  • never get a heat mat, just in the winter dont open too many windowsand keep your room normal temperature and you should be fine. Use whatever kind of soil, doesn't really matter. :)

  • dont put da heat mat under d tank,if u av burrowing Ts dey b fryd lol, in winter f u must use 1 put it on da side of da tank, iv 28 T's and never use heat mats,im in west ireland and its freezn out side, my room is at 25.6c now and its 1.40am, i hav a heater in da room which i use sometimes,but hav central heating and dat dose fine

  • Nice Video, before I had my 'Nursery Web Spiders' ( two of them. ) I never new I had two give them water, although the good thing is, is that Nursery Web Spiders are also known as 'Water Spiders'. Butt nice Video anyway, some good advice. You are lucky to have a 'Pet Tarantula'. Good Luck with your Pet Spider, make sure you give it plenty of mice. Hahahaha.

  • my mate has a Chile Rose but he just keeps it on wood chips and its not very humid and he had it for a year should i tell him he needs more humidity and if he does how much humidity

  • he may need a bit more humidity but if the spider's alright then there's no need to.
