I don't understand why these knuckleheads insist on trying to draw comparisons between Pro Wrestling and Ultimate Fighting... It's like trying to compare a war with a movie about a war...

ok i wanna clear sumthin up here. Many of u that r on this youtube interview w/ meltzer he doesn't rly know what he is talking bout when it hit Mike yes i admit Mike did say he didn't want 2 do it but however i didn't like the way he said he was a joke that is disrespectful IMO. Just like how he bashed David Von Erich's death. y pick on mike y couldn't he bash cena 4 having a worse gimmick of all x.
& if meltzer had a youtube account i would tell him that u r ignorant & that is the truth.
Amen broo, he's just a guy who runs his mouth and likes to criticize this and that, when he didnt do anything for the business, take everyhing he says as just an opinnion

Such a full of shit answer when they asked him whether he currently enjoying RAW or UFC more. If it wasnt he job he wouldnt even be watching pro wrestling at this point, not that im blaming him, I know I dont. its a joke, and if you suscribe to his website and listen to the podcast reviews they do of wrestling events, it sounds like absolute misery.
To be fair to Meltzer (ugh can't believe I'm saying that) he has attended 5 live Raw events in California this year and said he enjoyed all of them so I don't think he hates wrestling its just he's following the trends in combat sports but if he hated wrestling, he wouldnt be covering it.
Thsts not true, he has a business, and it isn't being funded on MMA fan subscribing to his newsletter. Its unresonable to think that Meltzer the ultimate wrestling purist of all people's enjoyment of wrestling hasn't suffered like millions of others.
Meltzer, put yourself in Mike's shoe's. He did show courage and @ least he tried. He was a smaller wrestler in the toughest territory around. One of the most stiffest anyways.
Meltzer may 'know his stuff' but his main talent is being so totally comfortable in his own arrogant speculation that he comes across as an authority. He's so self-assured of his own utterly subjective opinion that people take his word as gospel.
His opinion on Mike Von Erich is pretty much the truth. But it's stating the obvious. The way he put it across was harsh and arrogant, he could have said the same thing without sneering 'pathetic'.
One thing about Meltzer is that he is the one responsible for the wrestling lies you here about all the time on the internet from people who feel they know wrestling best since studien the internet only. Meltzer is a peace of crap and really knows nothing. And Wade Keller, Bruce Mitchell, Bryan Alveraz and RD Reynonds are the same way. They just make up there tories. And Mike Von Erich shoul be suing then and forcing them to prove things or just shut up. Meltzer has been exposed and is a fruad.
mike von erich is deceased. suicide in 1987. he left a note saying he didn't want to embarass the family anymore. so sad. and then for this guy to call him a joke 20 plus years later is pathetic. my theory is that meltzer doesn't like wrestling, he only likes to bash wrestling.
Dave Meltzer knows Pro-Wrestling, after all he has devoted his entire adulthood covering it, most everything you read on the "spyware newz" sites is copied and pasted from his newsletter. Unfortunately in recent years he could care less about the wrestling industry because UFC has become the "in" fad and as long as that continues to do better business then that is what Da Meltz' will prominently cover.
Bill Watts deserves to be in the Hall of Fame just as much, if not more, than Boesch and The Freebirds. Who gave the Birds their first big break? Watts. It was also Watts' idea to add Buddy Roberts.
Steiner never touched Watts. He claims that during a case of roid rage he screamed at him over money in front of people, but no one else has come forward to back him up. 5 years before Steiner turned heel, Watts turned him in WCW, right before he jumped to the WWF, back when he could still wrestle-

@hrhbgbhrhbgb Apparently Vince Mcmahon does. He reads the Observer too. UFC prez Dana White also listens to what Meltzer has to say.
As for what he's done for MMA or wrestling...that's a stupid question. You might as well ask that about journalists in may sport.

You say Mike Von Erich should sue. Therefore, you claim he is still alive. Now who's the liar?!
equinoxxc 2 years ago
Yes, Meltzer learned everything he knows from the internet...considering the Observer has been around since about 1982.
