Kyanite comes in so many "flavors" not jsut black and blue. As they each have their special teaching its good to know that such a strong energy stone offers so many diverse energies to help with a wide range of problems/questions/health issues. That citrine cluster looks so dark in the video .... is it heat treated?
Ok, you look so familiar to me and when you mentioned you grew up in WI now I'm wondering if I met you? I'm 10 miles from the MN/WI border, in Chisago County, on the MN side. Just wondering???
Ok, you look so familiar to me and when you mentioned you grew up in WI now I'm wondering if I met you? I'm 10 miles from the MN/WI border, in Chisago County, on the MN side. Just wondering???
Well then I'll give that a go....Thanks...I got a few of Scott Cunningham's books on the way (his encyclopedia of gems one of them) so maybe I'll get better info there. Lots of ppl swear by his info...so I figure I'm good.
OMG I live in Wisconsin now I moved a lot used to live in ILL. I am always attracted to rose quartz, amyphest and a lot of stones that I was drawn to I have a one that had a natural hole that I keep in my hermitt crab cage.
I love stones and crystals. I have collected dozens over the years from everywhere. They decorate my flower gardens, my house plants as well as some I use in healing. All my stones have spoken to me. I agree with you, good vid.
in your first stones video you said quartz was a neutral stone what does this mean? i found some clear/white quartz and i have no idea what to use it for
Quartz is a clear stone with no coloration...therefore neutral in color, so it tends to enhance the stones around and also act as a neutralizer since it is colorless...the colors in a stone are various minerals and ores...therefore holding certain properties. Does that help?
That stone from your Dad's has a very homey energy it is very much a relaxing comfort stone Home and Hearth of your childhood and holds a great personal power for you. and yes I can sense the cleansing as well. Please tell me if you feel my reading of that stone's energy is correct.
I really dont feel from most stones, but I do have a tiger's eye that I'm attatched to. I keep it in my pocket of my uniform while I'm at work. I believe it helps me to focus and concentrate when I'm feeling scatter-brained at work. I use it as a worry stone, and it works. BB! )0(
My rule of thumb is: if I'm attracted to the stone, whether found or purchased, I use it/carry it with me. After awhile it becomes apparent to me what the stone makes me feel or what energies it attracts/repels. After I've developed that relationship with it, I can look to it in my collection for spellwork because I can consistently associate a certain feeling with it. Having a special pouch that you use only for carrying one or two stones per day helps.
amethyst is an empowering, astral, spirit stone. citrine is a grounding, cleansing calmy earthy stone. in other words... they are exact opposites!the harmonics clash and amethyst could break.
Oh man, I think this video made me more stuck then I originally was lol. I've always wondered how and why the books/experts said certain stones were good for cleansing, healing, love, or whatever. Like, where does this knowledge come from? Have studies been done? You saying that all of the books say something different makes me doubt it even more. At my workplace we sell a set of beautiful stone bracelets. I was going to by them thinking I would use them in my workings, but now I'm not so sure.
Well, if I may add something which might help. Like other areas in natural magic or any other form, many times magicians conjectured that certain things found in nature had peculiar properties based on the application of magical thinking. Such as like causes like, or like attracts like, or that when any agent acts on a patient than the patient is imbued with the same power as the agent, etc.
To give an easy example, since rose quartz is pink and pink is a color associated with love, then rose quartz inherently has a power to cause love depending on how it's power is directed or applied (like causes like, or like attracts like). Or, another good example is PixieFlora's rock she found at her Father's place. Since the rock was originally located at the river, then apart of the power of that place was transferred to the stone (a patient being imbued with the power of an agent).
Though, there are other magical rules or laws to consider, but that should give you a good idea on what many magicians (traditional or modern) base their classifications on. I recommend reading Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy. And, like Agrippa says, occult properties are arrived at by two means only. Conjecture and experience. Hope that clarifies your confusion, Lindsay. It took me awhile to understand it, too. But, it comes with time and study.
To sum everything in a nut shell, look up the Doctrine of Signatures. Also, as far as Agrippa and the basic laws of magic are concerned, read chapters XV till Chapter XXI, Book 1. One you combine the knowledge of the Basic Laws of Magic with the knowledge of the Doctrine of Signatures, everything will just click. From enchantments to talismans and beyond, everything will make since.
Well thank you very much :D It does make sense as I am a student of the Law of Attraction. Thanks for referring me to the books too so I can look into it further.
so these stones that you find, you said you use them, but how do you use them? I'll look to see if you have a video about it i just wanted to leave a comment before i forgot what i wanted to say... it's so sad, i'm senile at 24.
I have a stone I found a long time ago. kind of triangle shaped & flat. I use to use it on my first altar to represent earth. Then I used it as a cone incense holder. This stone had more power in it then any stone I ever boought!!
Oh Yay!! LOL....Again...sorry it took so long. we have redone the bathroom and last weekend the bedroom and have had a very busy schedule this past month...trying to catch up on my videos...
I pretty much only use my citirine, amethyst, and tiger's eye on a regular basis. I have other stones, but I've never used them, so I really don't know how much of a connection I have with them. I have found several stones on the beach that I have brought home. I love finding stones that "call out" to me, but I'm not one for going and buying a ton of different stones.
I love stones and was looking thorugh your videos and realized that your last stones vid was labled stones part1 and wondered if you had ever made a part 2....and now here it is! :D Always love your videos.
Yeah, there is a lot of conflicting info. I go w/ what I find to be mentioned most often and by more reputable sources.

I read that quartz was a good stone to use to clean other stones. It also said that it was a self cleaning stone....is my source correct?
deezer23 2 years ago
Citrine works at cleansing other stones. Citrine never needs to be cleansed. It acts as a vaccume and cleans other things around it.
