  • i attended a jazz camp and took classes from an organist named wil blades who studied from Dr. Lonnie Smith. He told us a story about how one time he brought up that he was working on giant steps to the Dr. just casually, but sure enough that night when they went to gig together the doc went right into it in their set and wil had a crazy time keeping up
