  • now he was the total package.

  • wht a bum.

  • what is the music he is skating to called?

  • Anyone have Elvis's 1994 Olympic short program on here?

  • Does anybody have a video of his 1994 short program they could post? I haven't seen that one in a very long time. Thanks!

  • @beeharbour and i assume that means you are a better skater?

  • @feralfeline What a silly line of reasoning that is! In the history of the sport not one competition has been judged by people who skated better than the competitors! I couldn't skate better than the 100th ranked skater in the world, so by your reasoning I could form no valid opinion on whether Stojko was better than that guy or not. Nor presumably could you or the judges unless you or they were higher ranked than that. There's an end to the sport.

  • I adored this program. I ordered the VHS as soon as I saw this on TV. Still have it!

  • HE WAS AND IS AWESOME!!! I know he's skeptical about using the words "graceful" and "beautiful" to refer to men's skating, but in his powerhouse way, HE IS!! Nobody hesitates to say a stallion or a stag is graceful and beautiful male animal, and Elvis the human belongs in that category!

  • @You719Tube right, weak compared to the abominable snowman.

  • I freakin loved this performance. I remember watching this as a young kid. Only one word describes this: Awesome.

Stojko, best figure skater Canada ever had (so far).

  • @ThePoopChef There isn't anything pathetic about him. He's always been inclined to ramble and pontificate some. He's a thinker. Ooh, imagine it, an athlete with his own brain! C'mon! Now, I think he was a little harsh directing his comments AT Even L, and Elvis should know better, given what he went through and what crap was directed at him by commentators during his amateur career. His emotions aside, take a look at the thought content, he has a valid point. YOU are just name calling.

  • @ThePoopChef lol i took your advice and read his reaction and i fully agreed with everything stojko said; thankyou for making me like him even more ^^

  • I usually prefer a classical style, but he makes this work brilliantly. Every moment is purposeful. And of course there are the great jumps. The music is awesome.

  • Now thats how man's figure skating should be, power!

  • I saw him skate in an exhibition to MJ's song, "give in to me".. Super. I almost started packing !! Can someone steer me to it??

  • he is not a robot he is very artistic dont act like u can do quads like that!!!!!

  • and ur a pro skater or somthing?only a fat tard would comment on "style". people skate however comes natural. u can't comment on that. thats how his body moves.

  • @ssssssspps "Fat tard?!" How old are you? You can disagree with them without being a first class jerk about it. At least Dylvente was diplomatic. Seriously. Grow up.

  • @450creek im assuming u think i wrote that to Dylvente bellow me. I wrote that to some guy who was talking smack about elvis. thanks for trying to get me to talk smack with u though. in no way was I a jerk. good try. I'm 23, age has nothing to do with being grown up.

  • yes you\'re right - if you mean he has to be gay to be artistic like toller cranston and others. he has a very artictic side - it's just masculine and based on martial arts.

  • all of the comments about elvis not being artistic were bs. Different, not the typical male figure skater, more masculine in style(although that's a whole debate there when you get into what 'masculine' is ;I don't agree that the more traditional men are 'less masculine'), etc., but he had his own style and I think his blend of skating and martial arts is artistic. The judges not getting it or wanting something more conventional is their problem. I watch this and I see art and authenticity.

  • Indeed--this program especially was breathtaking and never got the credit it deserved

  • still one of the very best performnces in my book.

  • Not only was he a great skater he is also a good person, a true role model.

  • Mariposa skating club where Elvis trained was next door in the Allendale Rec Center from where I went to highschool. I saw him skate a few times and got his autograph.

  • incredible. He is a Canadian legend and inspires me to work even harder as a skater.

  • best of all time, Elvis is king.

  • Brilliant performance and a great choice of music (from a marvelous soundtrack)!

  • True competitor, right here!

  • haha... man, the days of when figure skating was awesome and it wasn't rigged. I literally spent 6 out of my 7 days at the ice rink, and always wore skating tights. haha.

I loved him, and he'll always be the best skater.

  • I almost forgot how small he was.

  • anybody have his Conquest of Paradise program loaded??? Id love to see it. It was from the 94-95 season

  • Definitely his best program, I have it on VHS somewhere too, with Canadian and another w/ American commentary - he SO got ripped off at the Olympics

  • I have this in English on VHS but I don't know how to put it up here. The announcers are Canadian and it is electrifying.

  • hey someone said this music is from dragonheart, but that movie came out in 1996. this was in 1994 correct? I absolutley love this song and i have been trying to figure out what it is called for the LONGEST time. please someone give me the name of the title and the composer. Thank you!!!

  • i think it's from the soundtrack from the movie THE BRUCE LEE STORY... i love this music too...i know lauren holly starred in the movie

  • dragonheart was his 1997 worlds long program, which he also won.

  • Its from dragon the Bruce Lee Story from 1993, I had the CD. Such powerful music.

  • It was the Bruce Lee Soundtrack. He combined many of the songs to get what you hear in his perfromance. Very well done.. The DragonHeart soundtrack was performed by Philippe Candeloro

  • Elvis also did DragonHeart in the '97 World Championships. And yeah the music is amazing. The clips used in this program come from the sections on the soundtrack CD called: Main Title, Sailing on the South China Sea, The Dragon's Heartbeat, and Victory at Ed Parker's. This soundtrack is one of the all time greats.

  • this song is from dragon: the bruce lee story! you should get the soundtrack...it's amazing

  • I have it and I love finding clips like this to see how the music has inspired people.

  • Ahh! at 5:06 you can totally see Jamie Sale' way back when she went to the worlds with her other partner!!

  • Interesting video, thanks for sharing. I had to watch this several times!

  • Elvis is real fighter!! He is the king of Quad!!!

  • I love the announcers' reactions to his quad combo lol. Thanks for posting, fantastic performance. I love how into it the crowd was. The whole thing gave me chills

  • Does anyone have a recording of this in english? the music is quite hard to hear, if you do, please put it on

  • love him. love the hair. mullets on ice. it could tour.

  • This was by far his best program! It balanced his skating and his martial arts training.

    It still gives me chills

  • Thanks a lot jonlee 23

  • What is that music ? That's Great !

  • the music is the theme from 'Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story'. Elvis saw the movie and loved the score so much he had to use it in his figure skating routine.

  • The reason actually he didn't land the triple toe, after the quad toe, was because it was outside of the circle, he was leaning left and it caused him to be 1/4 turn short. Its a testament to his strength that he only stepped out of the landing instead of falling completely

  • Elvis was one of the most original men's skaters ever...

  • he should have definitely added this world's gold with olympic gold earlier. but it did not happen because of so many protected skaters, so little time.

  • The 1440 he did at the beginning was fucking insane! If you watch the replay at the end, it almost looks like he could've performed a quad-and-a-half. That's why he almost lost balance after the 1080 he did after it. Elvis is amazing!

  • Elvis, i don't know if you will get this, but i think you are awesome with martial arts training. How many people do you think trainin the martial arts in figure skating?

  • i watched him when i was a little boy aged 13-14

  • The first quadruple-triple combination... not exactly perfect, but WOW!!!

  • I remember taping this and watching it over and over again. It is one of the best programmes of all time. He was robbed of the gold in Lillehammer, he deserved this world title, gosh he really earned it:) He makes Canada proud!!!

  • He should have won gold here...he was robbed...

  • he did this was his first worlds victoryy

  • he was so cute back then

    now - yuck!

  • i did too well when i was a little boy :P but i still watch him befor i skate every day soo inspiarating i always enter my triple luts thinking of how great his was

  • I watched this guy so much when I was a little girl ^_^
