Kerry why you be so sexy? I adore this woman and I personally always got a bit of a lesbian vibe off her....but I think thats just wishful thinking on my part....XD The only way we will ever know she is gay or bi is if she comes out and says it. It isn't necassarily career damaging. For example John Barrowman has played plenty of straight leads and many of these female leads have HUGE lesbian and gay followings e.g. Julia Murney. As far as we know, Kerry is straight. we have to deal with it.

@514lindy Oh get real - yes, it is career damaging. FYI - Julia Murney denies she is gay. If Kerry came out as Gay it would limit her career potential- not with the gays, rabid-fans girls or small loyal West End crowd, but the general public. Kerry has gotten as far on her looks as her singing. She is an "Ingenue" attractive, young, romantic female lead. Let her come out as gay and see how many more major starring roles as an "Ingenue" she gets. BTW - how far has Barrowman gotten in the US ?

I'm openly lesbian so I guess that means my careeer in theatre is going to be soley based on my sexuality. What about people like Jonathon Groff? Thousands have been to see "promises promises" his sexuality doesnt seem to be causing the audience to dissapear.

@514lindy No, of course not everyone would stop going to see her, don't be so hyper. But she would not gain much in the way of new straight fans, especially men - might even lose quite a few - you must realize a major part of her draw with male fans are her looks. Being gay is a major turn-off. FYI - straight men are NOT paying money to see Sean Hayes, they are going to see Kristen Chenoweth. Straight men are not paying money to see Jonathon Groff either, they went to see Lea Michaels.

@514lindy No, of course your career is not going to be solely based on being gay, but it will be impacted by it. Don't be so naive. On 1 level it will help - many core theater fans are gay. However, once you get past a core of gay theater fans into the general public.., especially if you are not very pretty w a nice figure. Kerry may, to a certain extent get away w it due to her exceptional voice & looks. But being gay it is NOT an image her record company wants 4 her - it will hurt sales

@amyca11aghan 1st off, I did not start this rumor. I have no clue if it is true - I would be surprised if it was. As for "she does not look like a lesbian" - I would agree except I don't think all lesbians look like butch-dykes. Ellen Degeneres has a "wife" who is stunningly beautiful. Some lesbians are very pretty and feminine. BTW - What did u mean by "I notice weird things she does, I ain't a les but I will admit that" ?

@Steffi96 It's her own business to a point. When you play an ingenue and you are not into men but women, in a way that's fraud. She would lose interest (& money) from quite a few straight male fans if they found out she was gay. Same thing with male movie stars on the opposite side w/ female fans. Kerry has said many times in interviews she has a boyfriend, thus creating a belief among her male fans she is straight. Whether she is or not, I don't care. Deception however bothers me.

I still don't see the point. There are plenty gay actors, I don't know about actresses, but I don't this is because except from Kerry I'm not really interested in them. But as I said, there a lots of gay actors who still play straight roles. John Barrowman for example, or Uwe Kröger. Or Carsten Lepper or Rory Six or ... to be continued!
