  • for guys like this, the new R1 has Traction control.

  • Probably from all the dirt the mad drivers have kicked up onto the road !

  • Agreed must be an off-camber corner.. Have seen a bunch of wash-outs on this particular corner most of which dont lend to bad technique

  • I'm not American (Italian) but I see a lot of crashes on this street "Mulholland"... is the asphalt wrong? Is the corner? Or what else? Can u explain me? I can't understand......

  • That was a sick ass bike!!!

  • he died

  • and THAT right there is why you ride with frame sliders

  • cool

  • @0:20 the bike.."yyoouu mmootthheerr fuucckkeerr..."

  • Why are there a lot of crashes in this turn? I've seen more than a dozen? Is it a diminishing angle or is it just a lil slippery from all the rubber n oil?

  • u hear it on the sound

  • fuck top comments that are more than two lines

  • Why do none of these people have sliders in any of your videos? They have such nice bikes.

  • that bike looks so sexy!

  • NOOOOOB :B

  • Highside turned into a lowside. Smart fall.

  • I guess he knows how far he can go now.

  • Polacy są wszędzie. :P za mało dogrzał jednak gumy

  • Got lucky bro. I went down like that but unfortunate for me my bike caught and fling shotted me into a brick mailbox.

  • figa questi americani che non sanno usare le moto.. vi schiantate sempre! ma state a casa se non siete capaci di prendere la moto!!

  • Worst throttle control ever..... dragging a knee through this turn also looks highly un-necessary. But to each his own i suppose. Your ruined 800 dollar plastics should teach you that lesson, not internet flaming.

  • He controlled it well you must say...most riders would go off the gas straight away when it starts to slide and the end up flicking it straight back and then they get air and crash bad. He just dropped it down on its side. Good stuff!

  • Taka piękna Yamaha ;(

  • ouch. this hurts in my heart

  • Bad position.

  • looks more like a buell 1125

  • thank the lord for frame sliders...

  • sweet no damage at all

  • Looks like he just accelerated a bit too soon coming out of the corner and lost the rear.

  • sounds like he opens and clothes throuttle and this is not good for suspention in corner

  • he was wanted to go in fakie but he cant haha poor guy

  • likes devided with dislikes equals 10!

  • They should put new tarmac in this curve. It can´t be always a rider failure.

  • se aveva il traction controll non capitava.!! eee gia'!

  • i hate those guys. they do this for fun, in every video they fall down in a drift in the same curve everytime

  • @MightyMueck Hmm i wonder why?? Oh yeah, CUZ ITS IN AMERICA FAGGOT! Come ride the snake, pink slip says youll eat that corner as well. And it was rider error, lizten to his shit throttle control.

  • @kevincolvin Yes, you're right, too much throttle and too early.

  • que no sienten cuando la rueda se está pienso de lado por que se siente cuando la rueda pierde aderencia

  • LOL,i only see this videos from US drivers, are there so much posers that can't drive a superbike. They should learn on a 30 hp motorbike or put some little wheels on their kneepads.

    Great videos!!!

  • to slow

  • The thumbnail looks as though he is drifting

  • this nismo451, is all worried about anyone caring about what I have to say, well obviously he does, damn bastard keeps sending me messages. We all know the only kind of men that talk about cock or dream of cock are the one who take it. I am a grown man with a familly, and I have several years of riding experience. It looks like some of you all are on the same page as me. Im just trying to give my opinion on what is happening here on the corner.

  • @partagasblack Just block him and report his account to Youtube. You are explaining what happened just so people understand really what's going on and some people like nismo451 (who probably rides the bus, but think's it's a GT-R) are asshats who don not deserve 1 minute of anyones attention. Who cares about those guys? Do your thing and fuck the haters.

  • noo amigo, no la derrapas con el freno a una r 1 la derrapas con el acelerador, que pena me da por dios

  • also you can here that he gives it to much gas coming out the corner in the slow mo.

  • @brad68brad yup, watch the ''close calls compilation''. pretty much everyone gives more gas while in the corner and the tire slips...

  • OUUCH my heart :X :X why why why R1 :D

  • man he would be glad he didnt highside that shit.

  • I think they filming different corners - some of them just looks the same. :)

  • What is with this tarmac seems like its really bad quality cause it doesn't look like any of the riders are moving that fast when they crash?

  • So.. This guy just stands at this corner all day filming riders crash? What a dick.

  • i have seen that same cbr 1000 crash about 7 times already, really man.

  • @NurdDesigns thats a yamaha yzf r1 dude, not a honda cbr

  • @theriseagainstfan01 Wow, my bad im so stupid. its in the title. heh

  • wait a minute, this smells like a set-up. yes, there are WAAAYYY too many crashes in this section. who's deliberately spilling the diesel...?!?!

  • Okay, seriously, what's the deal with that part of this particular curve? Is someone spreading butter on it? This guy was choppy on the throttle, but looked okay through the curve, and there are *so* many crashes at that exact point!

  • nooooooooooo that beautiful R1. damn it

  • 50ccからやり直せ。w

  • wow top 2 comments are from the same person about the same thing...... i used to do that but then i took and arrow too the knee

  • @bombsquad5543 He's right tho. Some couple of dumb riders like in this video would do such a stupid thing like this.

  • it would of been cooler if he landed back on and drove off

  • how did he just breakdance in the middle of the road

  • optimal line, position the vehicle on track toward the outside edge of the corner before entering the corner, and turn into the corner intending to follow the path he/she plans to take through the apex. Depending on timing and speed of turn in, as well as steering input, the driver guides the vehicle through the chosen apex, often on the innermost edge of the corner. After hitting the apex, and upon exit of the corner, the driver lets the vehicle move back to the outside edge of the track.

  • @partagasblack so what you pig headed baffon, go suck a dildo just because you ride doesnt me anyone gives a stink crap what you fink

  • what I'm saying is, if you want to drag knee go to a track were it is justified, dragging knee around town at low speeds probably isn't necessary. This corner is probably not a place were its needed, some higher skilled riders can do it, but that's skill. These lower skilled drivers crash. I believe they are striving for "looks" around this turn, its not a matter of function.

  • @partagasblack

    lol ok no problem :P

  • @partagasblack I support your statement... Some riders are missing the point of riding it right.. hey focus too much on how they look...

  • @partagasblack no one cares what you think.

  • Comment removed

  • @partagasblack I agree it's not necessary but feels awesome... That's something people forget, the feeling of dragging knee is real fun too... But, yes... true story, it's not really necessary. If IT IS NECESSARY in some corners, then it means you are driving too fast to be on the road...

  • Comment removed

  • @bastrix69 I also agree with your comment. Ride on!!

  • @partagasblack Exactly.

  • shit rider.... 1st he chops the throttle 3 times then he over does it on a r1... its not a 600 mate

  • @soroshsrya EXACTLY. Rider probably was recently just off a 600 (or smaller) and did not realize not to open the throttle on a 1000cc bike as much as one would on a 600 in a corner.

  • @soroshsrya Hell...when I moved from my 600 to my 750 I had to change my cornering a bit.

  • i love how hes looking through the corner until the very end, props, for not being a pussy. nice frame sliders btw lol

  • abo gg abo?

  • @ nurtsurt Thanks! Yes most are laughable many people don't understand the dynamics of riding a motorcycle you obviously do (nice riding on your RR)

  • I'm not surprised he came, could see that was going to happen before it did. Yanking the throttle on and off like that!!

  • I reckon the fact that they're being recorded either makes them nervous or creates a sudden urge to look good in camera. HA! problem solved..

  • io vado in moto da 20 anni e nn riesco a capire comè possibile cadere cosi da pirla ma questi piloti della domenica lo sanno che bisogna scaldare le gomme e che nn si frena con il freno davanti nella curva????????????????????

  • Cold tyre...

  • @adrrenalinerush

The reason he falls off is because the rider has no idea how to control the throttle of his motorbike. He should have ridden up to the corner braked then cracked the throttle open slightly as he turned in into the corner to stabilise the bike and suspension. If you listen he ham fisted the throttle on and off as he goes into the corner causing the the front and rear suspension to be unsettled to the point where he was thrown off. Nothing to do with tires or road wax!!

  • @Jerseywake I read a lot of comments on this video and others and usually laugh at the so called experts analyse the whys and hows to these offs. Good to read a comment from someone who obviously knows what he's talking about.

  • just take is slow for a little bit tires do have a factor in this but its also angle it doesnt matter how much riding skill you have your just as likly to go down like noobies i dont think i would want to take my bike thru there tho idk tail of the dragon is fun tho

  • could it be lower quality tires or something?? because the lean angle does not seem that much for a slide like this, not a pro or anything, but just seems scary to loose the back end like that, thought a bike could handle more than that

  • why did he lost control here?can any1 explain me please? i am a begginer at this

  • all this videos you record in one day ? woww , 10 accidents in one day at the same place .

  • fake

  • all of your videos are in mulholland ;) i like it

  • ok, so if I ever ride there, Im gonna get off my bike and push it through The Snake

  • chop-chop goes the throttle

  • Very good luck.

  • they need to name this corner "dont ride on this fuckin corner that everyone crashes on" corner

  • That could have been a lot worse.

  • Gotta scuff those tires a little better Sparky.

  • gave it way too much throttle in the lean

  • @irishnavyman03 The problem is more because the turn is a decreasing radius one and it's very difficult to tell that.

  • si no me equivoco es la misma curva de la caida de la kawa :if I remember correctly is the same curve in the fall of the kawasaki

  • @gusf645 lol relax man if you read my comment i was being sarcastic lol it was a joke :P

  • i agree they just can't ride . in this video he adjusts speed constantly , you can here it , what you need to do is choose speed and keep it that would not happen

  • its simple, they are posers. Pros apex corners enter wide exit wide, eliminating arch and taking the straightest line possible, they knee drag because they have to. Monkeys here actually add arch to the turn just to knee drag, there line is so wrong, they feel all pro then they crash there bikes. Learn to ride. Its all ignorance that causes this to happen, knee dragging just to do it = this. ha ha ha.

  • @partagasblack

and your spelling is even worse.

Learn the difference between "there" and "their" you fucking jackass.

  • @FLICKtheUSA thanks you fuckin beaner. Go back to mexico.

  • @partagasblack

cmon dude don't be so harsh everyone needs to get it wrong some times before they learn.. Even those pros...

  • @xxxangelxxxxx very true! I didnt mean to come off as harsh or rude, Im just giving my opinion, based off what I know about driving around corners at high rates of speed.

  • @partagasblack i dont now wtf your talking about but you must be nowing what you are talking about thumps up for that !!!

  • @partagasblack and you eat alot cock right

  • @partagasblack exactly right on all counts.

  • @partagasblack says the expert

  • I am an italian guy and I wonder why in this curve a lot of bikers fall down...

  • at least it didnt catch traction and high side..really nice bike

  • something must be wrong with this road

  • why do i fear high side more than this low side?

  • @MudDNo because a high side is alot more violent than a low side

  • Too much throttle during the turn :(

  • He knows how to fall like a pro!

  • You should go in a raceway.. why risk on the street?!

  • OMG ! is the bike okay ?

  • lucky that didnt turn into a highside. if that rear tyre gripped you would of been really fucked

  • Agreed with some of you guys, too greedy on the throttle and not smooth...poor bike

  • That's the begining of a high-side, because the back is trying to 'catch' the front (maybe too much accelerator too early). Lowside is when you lose the front and the bike just slips to the exterior of the curve.

  • @RicardoSS85 Saying this is another way, a high-side is characterized by sudden and violent rotation around the long axis of the motorcycle in the direction of travel. Exactly what happened here.

  • @RicardoSS85 what happened here was a low side fall not a high side

  • @Vtecification No, it wasn't. Read what I wrote.

  • @RicardoSS85 it would have been a high side if the rear tire regained traction causing the bike to jolt upwards or to in this case the riders left which would have thrown him off the bike on the highside, trust me man im experienced on bikes on and off the track for over 10 years and have had my share of falls both high and low side.

  • @Vtecification Again, what characterizes the HS is not the regain of traction of the rear tire. What makes it an HS is the rotation around the long axis of the motorcycle in the direction of travel - exactly what happened here. Sometimes this is followed by the regain of traction of the rear tire (throwing the rider over the bike), sometimes not. The LS is merely a loss of traction (usualy of the front tire). In the LS there's never a rotation around the long axis of the motorcycle.

  • @RicardoSS85 Im sorry my friend but your mistaken, a high side or low side is characterized as follows, a low side fall is when you exit the motorcycle on the side of the bike that is closest to the ground, as you can see in this video he falls off the left side of the bike in a left turn which puts the left side of the bike closest to the ground, a high side is when the rider gets ejected off the bike either over the bars or off the side of the bike that is furthest from the ground.

  • @RicardoSS85 heres two video links of a high side and low side fall

this one is a perfect example of a high side watch?v=Jpoe7Fp9eO4

and this is a low side fall watch?v=mJYi4_sBUiQ

i hope you see the difference now

  • @Vtecification Ok, you'll stay with yours, I'll stay with mine.

  • @RicardoSS85 i wast just trying to inform you properly my friend, im not trying to be an asshole, accept the wisdom i bestow upon you. we all learn from each other.

  • @Vtecification Apparently you don't.

  • @RicardoSS85 let me ask you something, have you ever been on a motorcycle? I just explained the real meaning of what high side and low side is but if you want to be ignorant oh well i hope you dont embarrass yourself

  • @Vtecification I've been riding bikes for 14 years, since I was 16. I've had 1 Yamaha DT 125 R ('97), 1 Yamaha XT 600 E ('99), 1 Honda CB 600 F Hornet ('00), 1 Honda CBR 600 RR ('03), 1 Suzuki GSX-R 750 ('05) and since early '08 1 Ducati 1098. I use my bikes to commute every day and I've made about 180.000km during this 14 years. I've entered in about 25 track days (both in Autódromo do Estoril and Autódromo Internacional do Algarve). Please let me know if you need anything else.

  • @RicardoSS85 thats an impressive resume, all that experience and you still dont know a highside from a lowside, how is that possible?

  • @Vtecification The Ricard dude is right man, this is the beginning of an highside. Highside and lowside refer to the physics of the trajectory, not to the side of the bike you end up when you crash (wtf...!). If the back of your bike oversteers, it's an highside, even if you end up 'on the side of the bike closest to the ground'.

  • @rizud30 no hes not and neither are you, how the rider falls off is directly related to whether or not the bike low sides or high sides, why do you think its even called a highside and lowside? the only thing i can agree with you guys on is that yes this is the beginning of a high side, BUT it doesnt evolve into one. you guys say its the beginning of a high side,so whats the end? LOW SIDE

  • @Vtecification

Ignore Ricardo and rizud30, they're honestly just trolling you lol. Lowside is when you lose traction and the bike lays down. High side is when you lose traction, then regain it and the bike violently straightens itself out pitching the rider off.

  • @Wrightboy731 No, it's not.

  • @Wrightboy731 ya probably, im trying to explain it with all perspectives in mind, when i said where the rider is really confused rizud, not many people understand what a high a low side fall is.this is almost as hard as explaining counter steering to noobs, but ricardo surprises me he should know better with the experience he states he has.

  • What is wrong? The guy cut the gas two or three times in the middle of the curve (it is supposed to be a constant or static acceleration in the curve), was lucky to not fall there and the reason for the drop was that the guy was very greedy with the throttle coming out of the curve.

  • i finally figured it out.... the camera man.... THE CAMERA MAN!!! he slicks the corner so ppl lose control for the sake of You tube!!!!! There are so many videos of this exact corner being recorded!..... well played mate... =)

  • @TwistedRoots1

Are you serious?? He waxes the road and only gets 2 or 3 crashes a week in a spot that gets 200 passes on a good day?? And what about all of the bikes that DO NOT crash?? Do those bikes have magic tires that never lose traction??

Really, man... comments like these make me wonder if you people have ever ridden a bike in you lives.

  • @TwistedRoots1 was ur bike ok

  • U r very luky man

  • why did he go on and off the throttle three times??

  • someone spitted on his tire :O

  • the R1 is soo heavy

  • it sounds like he over revved.

or didnt have enough weight on the right foot peg.

    or a combination of both

  • i think the camera man does it on purpose...some geeky enviroment friendly pedo !

  • That dude was hanging on for a 360 to keep riding, mad respect fro trying to save it.

  • would have been nice if he would have done a 360.

  • good thing it was just a yamaha.

  • this is also hapend to me when i try to do the curve and touch my knee on the road with my r125 what's the reason the bike slipped ? because its not fast enough ?

  • @TrollingSince1992 As far as I can tell the bike is leaned over too far. The idea behind getting your knee down is to shift your weight further over the side. You need to get your arse over the side of the seat and your head down further near the mirror. That way you can keep the bike MORE upright (the more leaned over it is the less grip you have, hence the slide). In this case it was a combination of not leaning OFF the bike enough with choppy throttle control IMO.

  • @tekkentool thanks for a little tips but for now i think i will learn more one or two thing about bikes before i start to do some thing like this again

  • i don't usually criticize on these kind of clips, but that choppy throttle control was so ominous. brrrrrp, brrrrrp, BRRRRPPPP, boom!

  • that's why the new R1 comes with traction control now...

  • @lyclycsms

traction control won't help much if you don't know how to ride...

  • @gusf645 it wont either when ur back wheel isnt touching the asphalt at all ;)

  • should have been sitting back further and had his head down closer to the mirror.

  • this is why you drive a car.......

  • Hope the bike only scratched D:

  • Let me ask something, what is fucking wrong with this turn??,D

  • @tomasitas123 someone fucking spill oil on that road at night and watches fucking when pissing..

  • @tomasitas123 Looks like an awesome turn to me. I can't figure out what is wrong with it either. Maybe off-camber?

  • @tomasitas123 gassed it too much on the way out?

  • @tomasitas123 I think that whole turn is not banked enough..

  • @tomasitas123 friend told me there is a subtle bump in the middle of the turn, throws alot of people off

  • @tomasitas123 noobs.

nah, in all serious, what does someone expect when they come into a tight-ish turn like that with a choppy throttle? id say this bloke hasnt been riding too long, or hasnt done much hills riding.... first rule of the tight stuff, keep it smooth

  • @tomasitas123 The answer is 10 fukin dollar rubber!!! the idiot had owned it! lost the grip too damm easy.

  • @tomasitas123 nothing's wrong with his turn.. sometimes shit happens..

  • get eeeee michlin pilot 2s

  • got ktm crash = yell FORE flying object reaching earth

  • That was a smooth low side, I hope if I go down I go down like that.

  • @theheatwave2001 amen to that. Hopefully though neither of us is ever going to crash =P
