  • i've never seen a host make everything he eats sound like absolute shit. i never usually right hateful comments, but this guy is just terrible. playdough? canned spagetti? rubber balls? "if you try a few you've tried them all"? what the hell is wrong with this guy

  • @jaykeeh I've had that dish before, and it feels exactly like that. They are very doughy. please shut up cry baby.

  • @skiie please go and die. do the society a favour you worthless zero.

  • @jaykeeh Ok how are you going to deny that they are actually chewy and doughy? have you tried it before? It literally feels like that in your mouth while you're chewing it. To call it rubbery and play doughy is not an insult if that's the actual feel and context of the food. Care to elaborate on what you tasted when you ate these Mr.top chief critic?

  • @skiie i lived in korea for eleven years. so thats a yes.

  • i hate when he reaches and eats over all the food..like in 5:14

    ugh

  • Comparing rice cakes to play dough is like comparing a baked potato to mud.

  • For all those talking bad about Andrew Zimmern, YOU try visiting different countries every week, eating their food, trying to understand their language, and NOT BE IN CULTURE SHOCK. This guy is exploring the world and opening his mind to everything. Most of us would turn down 90% of the food we arent familiar with but this guy will try anything and give his honest opinions!

  • I love korean food

  • ddukbokgi is not like playdough in canned spaghetti sauce, lol. wayyy off

  • @kimhaebin It taste like that too me, its literally doughy swimming in a tangy sauce.

  • Does he not get the point of wearing masks in food-processing factories? he must be out of his mind fooling around in middle of a mass production line like that

  • actually ddukbboki you see in this video can't be an original. Because original one must have rice cake that is finger long

  • haha when i went on my family vacation to Korea, I went to Kondei Street because it was shown on Bizarre Foods! it's a wonderful and vibrant place! full of good food and stuff to buy! looks exactly like how it's shown here! :)

  • just sayin, most of these foods. we dont really like... mostly the old people. but the younger generation rarely eats those kind of food.

  • Just saying, most Koreans dont really like Kimchi, Its eaten the same reason why ginger is eaten. To even out the taste. idk how to explain. but if you eat one thing the whole time you feel like puking. So variety makes everything better

  • @ArsenalCech09

On what basis can you say 'most Koreans don't like Kimchi'? Did you get nationwide survey result?

Don't apply your taste to whole Koreans.

  • @ArsenalCech09 WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING EVERYONE LOVES KIMCHI

  • @ExtrovertedSocialist i don't like kimchi..

  • @BanjjagNails WELL SCREW YOU

  • I'm seriously hungry for somw Korean food

Time to ask my mom to make some

  • I love it how he spends the money as if it's nothing when it's a lot. x)

  • this guy is annoying... childish. same words used every show. find a better host.

  • oh shut up man..even distracted me..i hope people will find some glasses or earrings in those kimchies:))

  • Put on your mask.

  • haha his pronunciation is horrible!XD dook boh ki?

  • @HerbertWestIII Life in Korea can be really really miserable. You have to be well educated not to live a bad life. Minorities in the states? Most of them are undereducated. They come to Korea and their lives are gonna be no better than lives in their home country. Korea is not the best country for the third world's immigrants.

  • @pestngkha

I fully understand your intention to speak ill of Korea but I guess there is no 'best country' in this world, not just Korea, for the third world's immigrants. Ok?

  • This guy needs to be more respectful .. typical American. Not funny. There's a way to be funny and entertaining but also respectful

  • @1:54 thats what she said

  • his pranks are funny because koreans dont have a sense of humor.

  • All these people getting offended by this guy and the way he describes the food he is eating! I have never once heard him slag off any kind of food. He is just describing what HE tastes and feels in his mouth. He is always very respectful and looking at all the different kinds of food he has tried, It is fair to say he is extremely open minded about food and different cultures. Yes he can be a loud mouthed American but he isn't disrespectful.

  • @HeavySabre70 Exactly. What would be the point of even having the show if all he did was nod politely & say "Thank you, it's very good"? He describes things the way he does so that people can imagine what it all tastes & feels like in the mouth.

  • My favorite part is always the street food part of the show.

  • 2:50 that's why yesterday kimchi was not delicious..

  • he was prob annoying those kimchi workers for shouting in their ears and talking the whole time they're trying to work lol...but kimchi is sooooo GOOD!

  • he eats so much

  • Korea is fucking awesome!!!

  • that woman is silently plotting revenge.

  • I'm hugry T_T

  • that was a good head

  • people need to chill he is saying what he think chill out

  • He has to put his mask on when he speaks during making kimchi that is why they give a mask dumbass reporter.

  • whats this feg talking about everybody eats out? its all fried? dude what about America u guys have french fries hamburgers sodas bacons and more fatty stuff those are that he ate are not healthy but better than american junk foods

  • 4:20 thats what she said lol :D

  • omfg i need to go get some ddukbokki <3 im dying from lack of it in the usa lol

  • I love Korean food!!!

  • I love the show, but I hate how he describes the food he eats. He uses way too many big words. And it seems like the person cooking him food doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. LOL

His favorite words I've noticed are - gamey, minerally, texture, gelatinous......SMH

  • its not DOUGH!!! its rice cake in spicy sauce!!!!! i hate his descriptions! HATE them!

  • OMG... this fat bitchy white trash is degrading the quality of Korean food and making it sound so disgusting. A lot of information in this clip is very wrong and biased.

As an English teacher in Korea, I learned to respect different culture and its cuisine.

He doesn't know anything but speaks like a Korean food expert.

  • ... I never knew soon daes were bloody.

it just tasted like noodles(?) to me.

    haha.

maybe there's something wrong with my taste buds.

  • @mstheb2006 I tried this recently and thought the same thing.

  • Comment removed

  • at least hes taller than the rest

  • at 5:36 HES describing " Soon Dae" wrong :(

Soon Dae is a Pig intestine that is cleaned and washed, so its like a paper cover. then Noodles , ( sometimes rice ) , pepper and other goodies are stuffed into it.

The sauce is sometimes Spicy Chili or just Pepper with Salt.

It aint BLOOD SAUSAGE with BLOOD SAUCE or has any LIVER stuff.

hes describing it all wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

Its like saying Meatball is intestine mixed balls.

    Bad ANdrew BAD !! :(

  • @dkdnTLqkf the stuffed mix DOES HAVE blood in it

  • Comment removed

  • How is ddeokbokki "junky?" It's rice...

  • "That was a good head!"

    Yep. ;)

  • he made soondae taste like shit hahah "rubber balls dipped in blood" lol

  • Oh my god, not the blood sausage again! I thought I will be safe from european food when I move to asia (Cambodia :D). Korean food is almost like british food. I don't know if korean blood sausage is smelly but the european one is. As soon as you open the front doors, you can smell something piggy in the air. Lol, just remembered Craig Ferguson's joke. A man in Britain found a mouse baked in his bread; he was so disgusted that he couldn't finish his daily rations of blood pudding. Lololololol!

  • @StandingRedPanda blood sausage its called black pudding! least we in the uk don't just eat the good bits we use the whole animal! and atleast we have our own food rather culture rather stealing others!

  • @StandingRedPanda it's not really smelly

  • damn, he didnt even come close to saying tduk-bok-ki correctly! i do miss going into the markets with my mom and eating at the stands with her. great memories and food! he also called soondae, sunday! what an idiot, but true about soondae! you either love it or hate it...no in between! and i cant stand it!

  • @southboy1246 No, no, listen again. He did pronounce soondae as soon-de and not like san-day (sunday).

  • damn, he didnt even come close to saying tduk-bok-ki correctly! i do miss going into the markets with my mom and eating at the stands with her. great memories and food! he also called soondae, sunday! what an idiot, but true about soondae! you either love it or hate it...o in between! and i cant stand it!

  • damn, he didnt even come close to saying tduk-bok-ki correctly! i do miss going into the markets with my mom and eating at the stands with her. great memories and food!

  • he's annoying

  • @TheJWKK is actually 5545 won = 5 bucks

  • @Skribbles170

    they were still wrong. just goes to show the misinformation in this show.. - -;

  • ok what the hell?

    5000 won = app. 5 dollars

    am i drunk? damn

  • omg sOO NICEEEE

  • he got duk bok gee all wrong. aha

korean street food is the besttt. !!

  • Wish I can do what he does.

  • haha-yes!!! i've totally heard of Seoul Eats, huzzah eatyourkimchi people!!!!

  • i think its a shame i was born into this western civilization if i see whats going on foodwise in other contries. i would just love to live in Korea and trade my KFC,Burger King,And Mcdonalds for some decent and fair food.

  • wow i was shocked to see racist hate . i met 2 guys i hold dear to my heart they are actually mix white and Japanese but raised since baby in Korea they said they had it bad but they love Korea and i have grown to like what they have shown me in food. but now that i truly see the racist hate i would be afraid to go. i know they would hate blacks. i am happy they except me and they mom say she love me as her own. i have known them since 1988

  • What a stupid show depicting dok bokki as junk food. Its actually very healthy. This show is really reaching to make Korean food appear more strange and bizarre or "junk" than it really is.

It is overall a degrading and disresptful portrayal of Korean food by a typically arrogant fat white man. They are always a noxious presence in asia.

  • @raawwwwr69 떡볶이 is NOT healthy. Don't believe eaawwwwwr69. What'sso healthy about white rice cake (not whole grain), sodium, red-pepper-saturated suace with hydrogenated oil? No Korean says it's healthy. You're a fucking idiot.

  • @gabsylv

FUCK OFF! Your not even Korean your most likely a white guy asian wannabe loser, or a half breed EXCRETED with a U.S G.I or a ESL bottom feeder and a Korean whore so STFU! We Korean hate you white people and you half breed mutts! Ddokboki is very healthy, it is just healthy rice cake and chilli paste with yummy and healthy vegetables.

  • @raawwwwr69 Lol, it's "you're not", not "your". How on Earth can you misspell the simplest word? I'm surprised you even know how to use a computer. And this video is about food. Why do you have to yap about mongoloids?

But before you claim that something is healthy, please study human nutrition. It's a very useful field of science. You may think something is healthy but you've probably never heard of all those hidden dangers in food. Ever heard of methylmercury in fish? Don't eat too much tuna!

  • @gabsylv

And you FKING loser! PASTA is white wheat too but its a healthy low G.I food because its all mashed up like rice cake so rice cake isnt unhealthy. I bet if it was mentioning some white bread with european food you would be saying how classy and sophisticated it is. If you are Korean I know your type. You are a white asslicked, colonial mentality dog for westerner. GO hang yourself, whether you are Korean, a half breed MUTT or a white guy you fail!

  • @gabsylv well ddokboki is not really not that healthy, the red pepper sauce i guess u can say they put sugar and salt and garlic, its partly healthly, but the rice cake, vegetables, fish cake, and egg, now thats healthy since they are full of vitamins and minerals, i agree with the white rice(not whole grain) ,but u can say ddokboki is mostly 65-70%% healthy and 30-35% not healthy, so raawwwwr69 is mostly right???

  • @raawwwwr69 - The show purposefully goes to extremes to show what westerners would believe to be the most bizarre food of a culture. Get over yourself.

  • @raawwwwr69 - Lol. Wtf are you talking about? That was about the most random response ever.

  • When I lived in Newport News, I use to visit the Korean restaurant, and the food was so good! I miss it!

  • When I lived in Newport News, I use to visit the Korean restaurant and the food was so good! I miss it!

  • SOOOOO MUCH FERMENTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i feel bad for the family that happens to eat andrew zimmer's kimchi

  • this stuff getting me hungry!!

  • i love the taste of kimchi

i thank the korean people for inventing such a tasty food

  • I wonder who got to eat the Zimmern-made kimchi :D

  • show the dog meat on the market.

  • @19141208 it's not cooked directly there, sorry :D

  • LOL this is the cleanest factory ive seen unless those western ones

  • I love kimchi!, even if my mouth burns and couldnt take that spice anymore, i still want to eat it

  • first off. he said ddokbokki very wrong.. which isn't a big deal. but then he went off to say that it was made out of dough? unless he meant RICE dough..?

  • dokbokki ik super good but sooooooo spicy always need some suju xD

  • andrew you should wear a mask like all the others did. you must have dropped some spit on some kimchi, which will make kimchi fermented too soon and its unsanitary

  • thats 1 freakin epic kimchi,,,,,

  • Who let him go in and spit all over the kimchi like that??????!! >:-(

  • omg i cant watch him talk about my culture... Duk Bok Gi is not just about cheap food for college students - its like your grilled cheese that your mom made you for us

  • 5,000 = 2.75? When was this filmed? It's actually around 5 dollars.

  • I bet the factory workers were annoyed

  • lol its not "dook bok ki" its more like tthuck bok ki

  • I believe street food vendor lady was saying "Manni Manni" which means 'alot' 'plentiful" in Korean. Not money. Andrew probably mistakenly heard the word for money when she was trying to say, "Here, have plentiful!" Silly Dooookbokki man.

  • He's over exaggerating when he describes it.

  • minimal streetfood? huh?! you should go to toronto and see how boring the selections are...nothing but street hotdog

  • its not dukpokki!! the way to pronounce is ttokpokki!!

  • @asd5139 phonetically speaking, no, spelling wise under the Revision system yes. LIke a lot of languages, it's impossible to write it down in a way that's phonetically correct without looking weird. Best way I can write down how it's sounds is this: Do'h (like how Homer Simpson says it)k Poke Key, "Dohk Poke Key"... :P

  • @smegnose i need to agree wit u since its ur mother tongue. however i only correct the front part of pronounciation as it should hav sound more like a T than the sound of D(like how the guy pronounce las time).

  • @asd5139 lol I really wasn't paying attention to his pronunciation. He tends to completely destroy foreign words where ever he goes :P But listening to this again, you're right.... it was horrible :P What he said wasn't even a word :P But he really does a good job of promoting a country's image through food :)

  • @smegnose Haha... It is not a big problem after all since he didn't learn the language. So his mistake is for me is acceptable.. Owh yes the fact that he was promoting one's culture/food is good though.

  • @smegnose i hate you :P

  • poor turtles

  • WHATS THE TITTLE OF THE TRACK HE USED IN THIS VIDEO AT 2:25 ? CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME. THANKS YOU

  • @464019

    Who gives a fuck?

  • @ Voodoofreak35 She didn't mention money. She said "Maney". Which means "More".

She tried to say to him that she give him more food.

  • She didn't mention money. She said "Maney". Which means "More".

She tried to say to him that she give him more food.

  • This beats Japadog all day.

  • rofl... except the won is a bit more expensive these days 1000 won :0.85? dollarss

5000 would be around 4.5 dollars

  • LOL! $5000"won" is $2.75 usd

    immagin billgates there.

  • omg dyin of jealousy!!!!! he gets to go to korea and is given money to try the street food. i wanna go to korea!!! it all looks delicious and i cant go :'( to eat any of the food

  • damnn it I love my countries good. So fuking good.

  • @Sadness1335 what chick?

  • @GAM08LFC lol behind Andrew she is wearing a blue top and white shorts she is hot!!!!she is only seen briefly so pause at 7:50 if you have to.

  • @Sadness1335 are you fuckin serious m8? its just some random girl walkin past

  • i would love to try some of those street food.. XD

  • the blood sausage, called sundae... lol.

  • i have yet to see a fat Korean in any of the clips :P

  • Haven't had it but it looks a damn site better than the street meat carts we get here.

  • lol the way he says dukkboki is funny XD. but the way he describes it is terrible! it's more like soft, chewy, spicy, flavorful, and a bunch of goodness, LOL.

  • dook buk yi LOL its duk book yi

  • ahhh night markets <3 i miss them so much. Ill trade 1,000 mcDonalds fast food placed for just one stand.

  • @psChrystine shut the fuck up. no one asked u. dumbass bitch

  • @blackcobra203 Speak English or leave.

  • @venomx2 Im pretty sure that was english you dumb fuck. If you didn't think that was english, then I just feel sorry for you.

  • @blackcobra203 mmm Troll.

Have a nice life, K thanks bye.

  • @psChrystine You can make it at home. Don;t you have a Korean market where u live?

  • When was this show made?

At 6:35, it says 5000 won is equal to 2.75 dollars???

That is 1818 won for a dollar.

    Who did the retarded calculation???

  • @candoyja 1 South Korean won = 0.000872780579 Canadian dollars

  • korean workers in the facotry were like....ehhhh wtf lol

  • He's such a loud, obnoxious American, victory-lapping the kimchi factory... How embarrassing.

  • @Superlativesweetie yeah,hes a stupid ignorant american fuck

    Then don't watch the show.

  • @Shonem i dont, i just came across this one video bitch

  • @bludika

Well you seem like an unpleasant person.

    Go kill yourself?

  • @bludika Yet you live in the United States....

  • @Galather0 country and the ppl living are two different things u cocksucker

  • @bludika If you mock someone because he lives in a country that you dislike then why dont you leave the country yourself?

  • LOL, It was really funny when his kimchi finally got accepted by the lady and then got into the bag. XD

  • @TheSilverTree333 Oh yea bloodsausage is good i was born in korea till 3 then moved to california i didnt like bloodsausage i only ate duk bok kee in korea HAHAH its cheap and good ^^ i miss korea =(

  • I totally love Dohbbuki! It's so cute how he's trying to say the names of Korean side dishes and etc! Ha ha.

  • woww lol they way he describes it is nowhere close to the real thing

  • The bst streetfood is Sundae. The blood sausage :) I think

  • how does he understand what the woman is saying?? lol i love kimchi

  • lol his expressions are making it gross.

play dough in spicy sauce? lol. play dough? really? want to gross out everyone?

  • @tea4al after having it several times on the streets of Seoul, I have to agree with him on that one. I couldn't ever get over the texture of 'doek'.

  • I think something was wrong with his dok bok ki .... I've never seen it as those balls before.. more like a chopped up log and it definitely doesn't taste like spaghetti sauce

  • Ahhhh, *cringe*. "Dook" Bokki...

  • hahaha 7:58 cow penis
