i've never seen a host make everything he eats sound like absolute shit. i never usually right hateful comments, but this guy is just terrible. playdough? canned spagetti? rubber balls? "if you try a few you've tried them all"? what the hell is wrong with this guy
@jaykeeh Ok how are you going to deny that they are actually chewy and doughy? have you tried it before? It literally feels like that in your mouth while you're chewing it. To call it rubbery and play doughy is not an insult if that's the actual feel and context of the food. Care to elaborate on what you tasted when you ate these Mr.top chief critic?
For all those talking bad about Andrew Zimmern, YOU try visiting different countries every week, eating their food, trying to understand their language, and NOT BE IN CULTURE SHOCK. This guy is exploring the world and opening his mind to everything. Most of us would turn down 90% of the food we arent familiar with but this guy will try anything and give his honest opinions!
Does he not get the point of wearing masks in food-processing factories? he must be out of his mind fooling around in middle of a mass production line like that
haha when i went on my family vacation to Korea, I went to Kondei Street because it was shown on Bizarre Foods! it's a wonderful and vibrant place! full of good food and stuff to buy! looks exactly like how it's shown here! :)

@HerbertWestIII Life in Korea can be really really miserable. You have to be well educated not to live a bad life. Minorities in the states? Most of them are undereducated. They come to Korea and their lives are gonna be no better than lives in their home country. Korea is not the best country for the third world's immigrants.
I fully understand your intention to speak ill of Korea but I guess there is no 'best country' in this world, not just Korea, for the third world's immigrants. Ok?
All these people getting offended by this guy and the way he describes the food he is eating! I have never once heard him slag off any kind of food. Yes he can be a loud mouthed American but he isn't disrespectful.
@HeavySabre70 Exactly. What would be the point of even having the show if all he did was nod politely & say "Thank you, it's very good"? He describes things the way he does so that people can imagine what it all tastes & feels like in the mouth.

@raawwwwr69 Lol, it's "you're not", not "your". How on Earth can you misspell the simplest word? I'm surprised you even know how to use a computer. And this video is about food. Why do you have to yap about mongoloids?
But before you claim that something is healthy, please study human nutrition. It's a very useful field of science. You may think something is healthy but you've probably never heard of all those hidden dangers in food. Ever heard of methylmercury in fish? Don't eat too much tuna!
And you FKING loser! PASTA is white wheat too but its a healthy low G.I food because its all mashed up like rice cake so rice cake isnt unhealthy. You are a white asslicked, colonial mentality dog for westerner. GO hang yourself, whether you are Korean, a half breed MUTT or a white guy you fail!
@gabsylv well ddokboki is not really not that healthy, the red pepper sauce i guess u can say they put sugar and salt and garlic, its partly healthly, but the rice cake, vegetables, fish cake, and egg, now thats healthy since they are full of vitamins and minerals, i agree with the white rice(not whole grain) ,but u can say ddokboki is mostly 65-70%% healthy and 30-35% not healthy, so raawwwwr69 is mostly right???
@raawwwwr69 - The show purposefully goes to extremes to show what westerners would believe to be the most bizarre food of a culture. Get over yourself.
first off. he said ddokbokki very wrong.. which isn't a big deal. but then he went off to say that it was made out of dough? unless he meant RICE dough..?

@asd5139 phonetically speaking, no, spelling wise under the Revision system yes. LIke a lot of languages, it's impossible to write it down in a way that's phonetically correct without looking weird. omg dyin of jealousy!!!!! he gets to go to korea and is given money to try the street food. i wanna go to korea!!! it all looks delicious and i cant go :'( to eat any of the food
lol the way he says dukkboki is funny XD. but the way he describes it is terrible! it's more like soft, chewy, spicy, flavorful, and a bunch of goodness, LOL.

He tends to completely destroy foreign words where ever he goes :P But listening to this again, you're right.... it was horrible :P What he said wasn't even a word :P But he really does a good job of promoting a country's image through food :)
smegnose 1 year ago
@smegnose Haha... It is not a big problem after all since he didn't learn the language. So his mistake is for me is acceptable.. Owh yes the fact that he was promoting one's culture/food is good though.

I think something was wrong with his dok bok ki .... I've never seen it as those balls before.. more like a chopped up log and it definitely doesn't taste like spaghetti sauce
