Lol I have seen multiple card counters get backed off of BJ play. He is a huge inside for a pattern I notice. Ken lasted awhile cause he was in the 70's. The first time you are backed off from play, don't come back to that casino for a couple of months.

He was still allowed to play blackjack in Atlantic City because of the lawsuits he made against Resorts. However; the casino countermeasures were so effective, only shuffle trackers and hole card players could win efficiently. Because Ken Uston was just a card counter, he went to Europe to play the better games.

At least the Reptiles from MIT changed their appearances. Ken was stupid enough to look exactly the same every time he walked in a casino. He should have done like MIT and change his entire personality every time he walked in a different casino.

Actually there was a time when he shaved off his beard and got away undetected for quite some more time. Also, during one of his disguises, he managed to get away with bet spreading from minimum to maximum because the casinos thought he was a Hoover Dam worker.

im so interested. but how is it possible now they use so many decks and shuffle all the time?

It is still practical now. Even with more decks, it's just as easy to count in an 8 deck shoe than it is to count into a 1 deck game. You just have to wait longer to find an advantage, use a bigger bet spread, etc. Also, very few casinos shuffle after every hand. Counting and shoe blackjack games are still very universal and available. Even Australia has a few shoe games still around. History has shown that what's better for counters is better for casinos. The casinos need to understand that!!!!
