  • I am a Hannaford bagger. They really drill procedures into your head. Whoever bagged your groceries did it correctly, for the most part. The reason why you have three bags is because 1. Warm cannot be placed with cold, so that the cold stays cold. 2. The celery was separate because some produce products can not be frozen. They told me not to put produce with cold products. But an exception--the cans can go with the celery, if they are placed under the celery.

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm

FINALLY, a Bagger that EXPLAINS what was right and wrong. I may have lket this slide if it wasn't for the cans in their own bag.

  • Use self checkout.

  • @alexweb8

    Actually, I do.

I don't think they were there when this was recorded. Either that, or I didn't notice them.

  • @mbmaccin555555

Actually, they didn't ask anything. Just did what they wanted.

There are reasonable separations, but this was overboard.

PS: I would've accepted your comment, but there was no need for the pointless cussing.

  • @georgef551 Just makes me mad is all. We work our asses off, and people just treat the courtesy clerks like crap. "They're just baggers" Umm no..Just use a reusable, problem solved.

  • @mbmaccin555555

Reusables are known to be hazardous to your health, if you don't remember to wash them after each use.

There's no win with the bags. Paper fails with no warning, plastic can't hold anything remotely heavy anymore.

  • @georgef551 So you're saying you're too lazy to clean. Ok, i'm just gonna end it here, lol. You're being a hypocrite, "being lazy". Not trying to hate or anything.

  • @mbmaccin555555

    Where'd you get that from?

Even washing machines, or hand-washing, won't always prevent issues with contamination.

  • @georgef551 "This was just pure laziness". Millions use reusables. Probably a myth you're hearing. I use them, my whole family uses them..Nothing has happened to us.

  • @mbmaccin555555

    They sure do.

  • @georgef551 I see so many reusable bags that are moldy and dirty on the inside, often smelling horrible. These are mostly the canvas or plastic bags. The cloth ones do not have as much of a problem.

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm

You REALLY got to keep those bags up, and if you use them multiple times, and put meants in different bags, there's anothert host of problems, namely contamination.

  • @georgef551 When someone has a small order like this I always ask them if one bag is OK.

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm

I get that sometimes as well. I usually tell them to cram if they must. :)

    (That's just my taste. I don't mind heavy/loaded bags.)

  • @georgef551 We're also supposed to ask them if they are OK with their reusable bags packed heavy. Some people do not want heavy bags. One of the lazy baggers (now fired) never asked and got hit up for it from an old lady. He also got hit up for texting instead of collecting carts. BTW, if you ever see ammonia and bleach in the same bag, report the bagger immediately as these two can produce chlorine gas if they are mixed (if the bottles break somehow).

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm

Amonia and Bleach = High School Dropout bagging. :)

  • Erm... actually whoever bagged your groceries did it correctly. The problem is YOU didn't specify how you wanted your items bagged. A bagger will bag your groceries the way they are trained to bag your groceries unless you specify to them exactly what you want.

  • all the highschool einsteins..........really, i guess you dont realize that by us bagging all that together could cost us a job becuz were trained to bag that way, you dont want cans in with your celerey becuz than it would get smashed and you would bitch about that too

  • @cpsoflyandbigsleezy

Soft stuff, yeah, nothing here would get destroyed, especially if the celery were on top.

    This was just pure laziness.

  • That is the way we are trained to bag groceries, cold items by themselves, produce by it self, and cans and boxes. although it could all fit in one bag, technically, its against most companies bagging rules.

  • @AnnaMcCreery

The smarter ones realize that while it might be the right way, they will bag as they did here, but then put all the bagged items into other bags with space. That works. Sometimes, common sense needs to be in control.

  • Hey, I as a bagger, would have done the Tuna Salads with the Celery and Ice Creams while doing the cans seperate, or if you dont mind cold things with the cans, id bag them all in once :) those people who baggedfor you are partially dumb or new lol. The OJ doesnt get bagged not because its too heavy because we could sjur double bag. But it has a handle we do not bag that, unless special request to customer.

  • @georgef551 And I enjoy them a lot. So thank you. If I'm.commenting to much let me know. I'm usaly a rather shy and quiet person usally and talkative online so that's why I comment on everything I see.

  • Yeah. We have some very intreasting webasations don't we. Lol.

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

    Yes, we do.

  • Georgef551 I used to like those a lot to before I enjoyed the taste of a frosted storemade cookies. I also like the Subway chocleat chip cookies. I like there homemade.

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

Storemade stuff can be good, too. I like Sugar ones as well.

Amazing how this DID get hijacked into a cookie discussion. :D

  • @georgef551 Agreed. Cookies to. Especialy the frosted ones. Well atleast the ones with the plain frosting. Not the ones with the lime cleaner um.... flavor in them.

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

My favorites are the Nilla Wafers. It's been my favorite for at least 35 years.

  • @georgef551 u certainly like ice cream don't you. :). I'm addicted to those frosted store made cookies

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

Yes, Ice Cream = good. :)

  • There are alot of highschoolers at my Domicks. And they are all really stupied. The sad thing is that they work in the check out counter's and they always mess things up!

    Nice video!

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

I understand light packing, when things don't belong with others, but this was pathetic.

Like the reasonable instances, I just put bags in bagd, until they're full.

  • @georgef551 yeah. One of my classes took a field trip to walgreens on Thursday and they put my load of Bread with my bag of tide Stain releases. I didnt realize this was a problem until my teacher caught it and let me know after he did it. (She was cheking out on another so she coudltn do anything about it!.

  • @georgef551 Where did you do your shopping at this time?

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

Hannaford, Twin City Plaza. This was the exception to the rule. Everyone else bags within reason most of the time.

Bread and Detergent don't go together, in your other response.

  • @georgef551 Yep. THe guy who I checked out with was a Jerk. He was really groutchy,he praticly through my recipt at me,and he didnt know how to bag(as you pointed out), Oh well thats Walgreens for ya. :)

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

"I'll put your bleech in with the bread, and YOU LIKE IT!"

"Oh, look, my Flip was on. You'll be on YouTube! CONGRATS!!"

  • @georgef551 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Excaitly. :). I asked my teacher if i could video tape is going there once. She said "No" thought. But I would have if I could have! :)

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

    School events frown on videos.

  • @georgef551 I jsut uploaded a video aobut it. Check it out!

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

    Saw it.

Sometimes, I will do that myself, so long as the chemical is in it's own plastic bag.

  • @georgef551- Sience you call this place "Cantafford, what was the total cost this time?.

  • @TheElevatorPlanet

    It's been a long time. I know a $10 didn't cover it. I think around $14 or-so....

  • hey smart ass first you cant put then all together. and if you don't think teens can do bag. than stop living off food stamps and get a job there

  • @bbradly111

I have a real job, and can pay my own rent, utilities, no assistance.

    Sorry. Fail.

  • @georgef551

    well whats ur job

  • @bbradly111

Calibtation Technician at an Sensor Firm.

  • Right off the bat when one starts bagging we are told to keep the cold stuff together, cans together and produce together. The person was probably new and was still trying to get it down. He could have combined cans and celery... since well it is celery and cannot get hurt. But good for him for keeping the colds together :)

  • @Kbrusky15

If each Ice Cream was in a separate bag, there'd be problems after awhile. :)

  • You people are all teenager haters only because you only aspire to be one. You are all sore in the heart. Know that it is people like you and not teens that are the ones who are getting stupider each year.

  • @TheLallz

You didn't see the "Grocery Packing Genius FOR REAL!" video.

THAT was a good job. THIS one, bad, very bad, beyond poor, and an exception to bad bagging.

  • Wait are you making fun of them or honoring them ?

  • @KaiserVadin

There is a "Grocery Packing Genius FOR REAL!" video as well.

This was a very bad job. 3 bags for all this? Uhh, bad.

  • Exactly. Just look at Jeopardy which used to be highly intelligent, but not any more!

  • I stopped watching because it got so bad. Suddenly, the fake SNL skits (Will Ferrel as Trebeck) look like the smarter contestants.

  • I started working @ Wegmans, (grocery store) when I was 15. (In 1992.) I never bagged groceries like that, because I knew better!

  • I'm not the bagger whatsoever (I do it in the self check-out lanes at one grocery store I visit), but I tend to go the opposite way: cram 3 bags of groceries into one. Well, maybe almost 2. :)

  • Exactly. I find that teenagers and people in general, get dumber every year.

  • I aggree with people in general. It's obvious listening to episode of the Price is Right. "I've been watching all my life!" Then they say "I never heard of Money Game". REALLY?! That's been on since '72, and you watched it all your life?

Also, Magic # proves it as well. Stupid easy game to win, yet nobody does.
