SSEQ is the NDS sound file. It is a MIDI converted into DS-Compatible SSEQ file.

Wait, is this what it sounds like in the game, or are you using the MIDI? I ripped it, and by default the percussion was set to the gunshot instrument. I guess I'll have to upload a better version of this. As soon as I can actually find the koisk/beta/whatever ROM.

well all i can tell from this is that the gunshot noise theme is the drum kits. it happend to me when i got the figure 8 beta midi file. all drum kits were gunshots. its still a mystery to what this theme actually is

It is a placeholder for courses WITHOUT own theme.

I can't work the sseq2mid. I try to extract the Seq folder using it but it always comes up with "#Error 38".

Sounds like F8 circuit/Mario circuit or maybe the pinballs and wario stadium. Could be the music of test circle but the circle is too short for the whole music. It could be the title screen or the menu but it doesn't sound like the mario kart theme.

Judging by the way the song ends, I think this may be a beta title screen. It also could be music to an intro video. I know MKDS doesn't have a intro video from what we know, but that doesn't mean it never did.

Wrong, the Beta Title Screen is just a remixed Final Title Screen.

MKDS has intro's, just do nothing on the Title Screen.
