@ontogc Na, it's very similur to fable. Tried the demo on steam aswell... not so impressed. It's a cheap console port, very lousy graphics, and overall from what i get from the demo not that good of a story. I will buy this game but only during a steam sale and for max 20$.

I judged the demo based on 15 minutes of play, and left disappointed. I more recently decided to give it another chance, playing it through until the demo timer ran out (...like an Hr+). After an hour+ with KoA:R, I placed a pre-order for it. Its nothing new or groundbreaking, but its easily on par with most RPGs to date. The graphics style not being Skyrim like, doesn't qualify of disqualify a game for me, as Fable and Warcraft are current generation RPG's. Art style is a personal preference...

INFO: The release-version is far less buggy than the demo and the so called "online pass" for singleplayer content is NOT a online pass but a free dlc that comes with the retail version so don't freak out. The game is written by R.A. Salvatore (the writer of Forgotten Realms), designed by Todd McFarlane (the creator of Spawn) and the project-leader is Ken Rollston who also worked on Morrowind and Oblivion. I really liked the demo and I'm getting this game for sure :)

Thanks for the great preview.Planning on getting this so it was interesting to see how similar it is to Skyrim since Ken Rolston is on the team. Love the colors which the lack of always bothered me when they started going to dark brown palletes after the first Quake came out. Ha ha yea waking up in a pile of stinking dead bodies probably would have had me vomiting all over the place just from the stench. Good to see the variety of weapons and how interactive the world is. Great spear head kill.

It was a fine idea to put this out during a skyrim shortage of mods. ultimately however your still just the skyrim guy in my eyes. And a HIGH Quality skyrim mod showcase at that! I would however state that video's such as these are a good way to fill in gaps during mod shortages(and to do so during).

Also. gives you something to move onto when skyrim dries up.

It was alright. You showed off a decent bit of content in a rather short amount of time, which is a good thing most first impressions don't do. Getting to see each of the environment, fighting styles, leveling, npc interactions, cut scenes, and bosses is the main point of the whole thing. I do think you talked about Skyrim too much though. A little comparison to other games is okay, but at some point it just kinda feels over used. Don't just trash it for not living up to other big titles.

This isn't just on you, but I feel like all the videos of gameplay I've seen for this game aside from the developer ones have been fairly poor. It's like no one knows how basic beat 'em up mechanics work or something.

If you delay your longsword slash you get the upwards one which is good for juggling. You can use this to switch to your secondary to extend combos and pull flashy stuff. I love the combat in this game so far and I'm really disappointed that very few people actually understand it.
