  • pigy showed tommy from prong how to play in this way.

  • Great song. I for one, liked Eric's contribution to the band.

  • i don't get why Eric Forrest is more regarded as a vocalist. He uses that aggressive growl/screech style better than just about anyone else who uses it. Unlike most of them, however, you can understand Eric perfectly.

  • If you think you can tell everything about this album, this is just a mutilated song. Listen to the whole deal. TRUST ME IT'S BRILLIANT.

  • Yeah dudes this album is really good...late in the game for a metal album...i think they really helped carry metal into the year 2000..i really think Pantera and Metallica are weak compared to this stuff...wereas most metal groups (even to this day)..find a buzz sound and rape the ^%#& out of it for popularity..not VoiVod they are to the core...there are no RATM clones here!...and i agree wit that comment so heavy...this was the heaviest i have ever heard in parts of the album

  • so heavy

  • the only time i've ever seen voivod live was with eric forest singing. they were so tight, and eric's voice is amazing, live. i love negatron and phobos .

  • I liked this album better than Negatron, too. It's what King Crimson would sound like if they played metal. The best of the Forrest era. It's an easy listen, but presents its own shades of complexity and wonder.

  • im not a fan of eric forest but this album kick some serious ass! badass till the end voivod lives!!

  • sounds like ministry kind of

  • The groove with the drumming is one of a kind...they really capture the "Soul of the Vampire" sound i heard them talking about one time..btw check out Forlorn on this album too!

  • sorry, this is not Voivod. At least to me it's not, my ears don't like what they hear when my eyes read that this is Voivod.. very sad. Best albums of theirs were and still are war and pain, Rrroooaaarrr, killing technology, dimension hatross and nothing face.

  • you should listen to the entire album, it's really not one to split into separate tracks, esp not when cut for a video. it has a vibe like no other, like the soundtrack to the scariest sci-fi movie never made. I've been a VoiVod fan for 25 years, and IMO that album ties with Hatross as their best.

  • Its interesting: I hate Negatron, but Phobos is pure genius. If I were stranded on a desert island, this is one of the albums I would need to have with me.

Too bad they brutalized the song for the video - ruined it really. Listen to the CD, its much better.

  • in my opinion Phobos is Voivod's best album.

  • fuckin fuck.. I won`t die before I`ve seen voivod and that`s gonna happen soon..and I will not not die after that either

  • Phobos was a great album...but nothing tops Hatröss! Still I like all Voivod albums..except RRROOOAAARRR, which just isn't that memorable..

  • Nothingface is their masterpiece. I wish bacterian WOULD LOAD THE WHOLE FUCKING ALBUM.

  • Old Voivod is the best, War and Pain, Killing Technology, Nothingface, Dimension Hatross, Angel Rat, great stuff!!!

  • this isn't experimental, it's junk!! the old stuff is best. r.i.p. piggy, and snake rule!

  • Damn, I love this classic Voivod song. Phobos, Nothingface, War & Pain, Killing Technology, and Angel Rat are Voivod's best albums. R.I.P. Piggy, not just for your legacy, creativity, and big heart, but for your legendary psychedelically heavy guitar playing, you awesome dude.

  • I do like the two albums that Eric Forrest did with Voivod. I think He was more heavier than snake but snake is more psychedellic in a way. Though I would of thought they would have continued with this style for the follow up albums but instead they just picked where they left off with THE OUTER LIMITS. Comes to show that NEGATRON and PHOBOS where just experimentals. R.I.P. Piggy.

  • I always thought the 2 albums with Eric were a step back for Voivod.

  • I think Eric Forrest was a breath of fresh air. He gave some heavier life to Voivod again. I think people who're only fans of the first 3 albums enjoyed these two. I like Negatron quite a bit.

  • i take it that snake is the origanal singer, the bloke that did the floyd cover.he was speed punk, this is less qurikey.were is snake.

  • ... did you check their last album? XD

  • The song has been butchered down 3:11. It really destroys the true spirit & feel of the song. Ugh...

  • I love this very experimental Voivod album.

  • I dont like Voivod without Snake. The vocals here are too much.

  • Than you must not be a thrash/death fan.

  • ou ksé qui sont allés la trouver la meuf?

    voivod en force

  • aeihaeiaeiaeuhei

  • I listened to early voivod as a kid and they are one of the few bands that i have "rediscovered" or "came back to" as an adult that are still as interesting now as they were "then".

  • yep voivod is always voivod, unlike metallica

  • voivod with eric forrest was such a great modern cosmic band....and pisses me off that voivod is in general such a underrated band...unfair

  • i like forlorn and quantum on this album!

  • świetny numer z najlepszej płyty Voivod!!!

  • a ja właśnie przesłuchuje różne mp3 i teledyski bo nie wiem czy warto jest się zaopatrzyć w Voivod

  • this album is totally awesome. incredible, pitch-black atmosphere of some cosmic terror. and the vocals are great!

  • A lot of people have mixed on Eric Forrest's time in Voivod. As a fairly new fan, I don't have a bias either way. I happen to prefer Eric's voice because with it demands a heavier style of playing from Piggy, which I wish he would've taken better advantage of as evidenced in THIS song. Not to disparage Snake's style, though, because I do like his punk-influenced vocals that Piggy complemented perfectly with straight-ahead riffs like "X-Stream" or more progressive stuff like "Clouds In My House".

  • I love Snake, but I really enjoy Forrest's vocals & use of vocal effects on this album: PHOBOS is a great album!

  • any1 have the full versoin they could upload to youtube?

  • from which album is it???

  • Phobos

  • um dos albuns mais loucos de metal que já ouvi, Phobos é incrível!

    e essa música é foda!

  • Seems that the world has been an even worse place to live in, since the last couple of years...

At least for the open minded

  • I love this song, but this abbreviated version is a desecration.

  • I was surprised to find through project playlist that this song was over 6 minutes long, and when I listened to it, I found most of the "spacey" parts unnecessary, while they did cut some of the verses, which made wonder why the hell they did that.

  • tell me how you really feel.

  • yeah! who says 'limp'? heh. emo I.T. fan speaking there.

  • Maybe this music is more minimal than hatross and nothingface era, but hear it well...

There is much than it seems under the surface.

  • Finally, someone who knows what they are talking about. I Love your piano covers too.

  • love this song!!! great ALbum but there all great!!! R.I.P PIGGY

  • Great song......I love Voivod......but Snake stills the best.......
