I was there a week later - I was 11 years old. The crowd was still as large as on theese pics on the 9th Nov.. TV-crews from all over.. Loads of people hacking the wall with hammers and such.. me too :) Glad to have experienced and been a part of that great moment in history when the wall fell.

What a beautiful presentation, well done. This guy was so lucky to be sent to cover this story! You can see, at the end, where he gets choked up,how emotional it was! I remember seeing on the news, I was 13, and peter jennings had a special news story, and I saw the people trying to break the wall, and I was thinking, damn, this is a big deal, I was very young but I could see that this was the most important thing that happened in my short life. The end of the cold war...WOW!

To be honest with you and everyone on Youtube, I'm it came down. It was very, very evil wall. A wall built not only on communism, but ignorance and misery. It separated not only Germany, but friends, family, relatives, love ones, well you get the picture. The Germans got their freedom and their new lives because of that event. God bless them!
