My Boss had a DP Turbo Targa. Engine was done in Germany by DP. Freaking fast, I am happy to say I got to drive it once.... Real nice..... Loud as hell!
Wow!! Long live the "Atomic Cockroach"... Truly one of the last true hardcore, really gotta pay attention, snap throttle oversteer monsters. Takes real skill to master getting the most out of this car! Thanks for posting this and other related vids...
the 935 "moby dick" could top 220 mph and accelarate to 60 in under 4 seconds, the 0 to 60 time could have been much shorter but their was about 3 seconds of completely nothing when you floored the car from a stand still due to enormous turbo lag but once you got the turbo spining the accelation was unparralled
the bumper/splitter does not look 100% faithful to a 934, its a reproduction. the rear spoiler is from a 993 rs as well (you can see it if you check out his other posts re this car)there were so many fakes as a flatnose coat 40% more than the regular turbo!!
this is a flatnose. it became an official porsche option in march 87. however, before that there were around 230 special order cars made with the pop up headlights - however the very earliest of these 'special wishes dept' cars had fixed units like the one on the vedio, similar which was similar to a 935 racer.
the slant-nose cars are from 1994 and are turbo s versions of the 964 (the turbos were given a 965 factory code) they are the last of the truly hand built porsches.
there were only 39 slant-nose trubo s cars ever made.
the car in the vedio is v interesting as it also has a 934 type front bumper/ spliter - and is similar to the one given to mansour ojeh of TAG as a gift from porsche in 1984 for the f1 engine deal.

damn, thought it was genuinely a road legal 935. Still a 930 SE is pretty incredible, awesome.

-no, not a flatnose ...but a slant nose.
flatnose's were also called "flachbau" or flat build. ...they were circa 1994.
