Looks wonderful, Nina! I enjoyed watching you -- you're warm and funny. I'm going to try this for my quilt group Christmas dinner next Tuesday. Thanks for posting.
looks delicious! my family is having thanksgiving pot luck and girl i am cook'n this for the family! one question.. when did you put in the cream cheese? Thank you =)
I have made this casserole a few times now, and really love the flavors. However, I agree with another statement that it does come out too runny. Would you suggest cooking off some of the chicken broth and wine, or adding more cream cheese? Thanks for sharing your recipe
Thank you! :-) Your comments are making me want to make more videos for the beginner cook....like me. :-) I don't have fancy equipment or every tool in the drawer, but I love to cook and love to make the videos! Thanks for your kind words. :-) Nina
I added the chicken broth after the onions and garlic to deglaze the pan, and no, I didn't put anything on top, but you could put panko bread crumbs or saltine crackers crumbled with butter for crunch. Thank you for visiting! :-)
I was making videos for the "Real Women of Philadelphia", a cooking contest sponsored by Phillie cream cheese and Paula Deen. I didn't win, but had alot of fun! I used frozen broccoli just to save time chopping. We had a time limit, but fresh would work just as well. :-) Glad you liked the recipe! :-) Nina
Oh where has your channel been? So glad I found you! I am in the middle of making Chicken Divan, so I will have to wait at least a week to make your dish, but I cant wait. (I see you are a 'big' drinker like we are, haha. I have that same size bottle of wine in my kitchen). Blessings, Tess from NY
i've been searching and searching through recipes trying to find a chicken & broccoli casserole that did not have mayonnaise OR canned soup, and lo & behold! i found yours! I never thought to look on youtube for recipes - i'll be doing that from now on.
I made this today. The sauce was too runny....I didn't see where you added the 1 cup of chicken broth in this video. I added it after sauteing the mushrooms and onions, and deglazing the skillet with the wine. Was it supposed to boil down or what? It did have a nice flavor though. I don't think mine had enough salt. Can you be specific about the amount needed? Thanks for sharing this!
@Claireafaye Hi! Sorry, I accidentally edited out the mushrooms.. lol.. they are added with the onions and garlic. So glad you liked the video! :-) Thank you, Nina

@neenat1 By the way I tried your trick with the garlic last night (cooking something else) and I can't believe how much easier they are to peel! That's the best tip I've had in ages. I can't believe all the time I've wasted in my life trying to peel garlic ;-)

"I will drink it" haha that cracked me up! I'm off to the store right now to buy the ingredients and I'm going to try this. I was intrigued by the white wine. I also like the idea of not using canned soups because I'm the queen of using canned soups for flavoring and I want a change. If I find your video again, I'll let you know how it turned out.
I had a turkey, no one likes the dark meat, so I boiled it off, used some of it and the broth it produced instead of chicken. I also used cheddar instead of cream cheese as that's what I'm used to. I wanted one without canned soup. It worked great! Thanks!!
butter does make every thing better.. : )

Great video. Any reason for the frozen brocoli instead of fresh? Also, how much free cream cheese did you get for this?
