I guess it´s only natural for tiny kids (like I was back then) to play with keyblades that does shitloads of damage. Now I think I´d prefer something a little more magical :P
ATTENTION! The teeth of Oblivion(the end part) it the Kanji for Darkness. the teeth of oathkeeper are the kanji for Light. Think about that! (Kanji is the written language used by the japanese)
@Freefolk999 well, the oathkeeper keyblade is based off of Kairi, who has a pure heart (cause she's a princess of heart) so that represents light. Oblivion is based off of Riku, who was once possessed by darkness, so that represents darkness. So it makes sense. Thanks for that information though that's very interesting. :)
Oblivion and Oathkeeper have such meaning behind them.
For Sora, Oblivion is the darkness that he must overcome if he wants his friend, Riku, to return. It also represents the sacrifice he made when he became a Heartless.
For Roxas, Oblivion represents his lost friend, Xion, who was so close but all memories of her have been lost into the "oblivion".(Oblivion means completely forgotten.) It also represents, with Oathkeeper, how he is a being between light and dark, and will someday fade away.
@Kamehameha876 to get it on kingdom hearts 2 you have to go to the world that never was for the first time and on kingdom hearts 358/2 days you have to buy the pandora gear and use it with riku or play with it with the oathkeeper keyblade and oblivion by geting the Zero gear and playing as roxas with 3 abilty units in it
oblivion is my favorite keyblade. it looks awsome does a shitload of damge, and i dont use magic much. i like using oblivion with riku on multiplayer mode in 358/2 days(riku using pandora gear)
Basically Roxas, Sora's nobody who was born after Sora turned into a heartless, joins organization XIII. Only a little later a girl, Member XIV comes, named Xion. She was an experiment by Vexen, a organization member, to be a replica of Sora. She took on her own look by taking Sora's memories and looking like Kairi. She and Roxas and Axel were best friends. BEST. Xion and Roxas made a promise to eachother. Thus, oathkeeper represents. ----continue..
Continued.....Xion was persuaded by Riku to destroy herself to give the memories of Sora back to him. At this point Sora is sleeping and the time line is at the end of Chain of memories. Sora needs to wake up but only if he has all his memories. Xion was supposed to replace Roxas btw. Now being persuaded Xion turns on the Organization and agrees with Riku to destroy herself even if no one will ever remember her or knew she existed.
I don't think it really matters if Xion was suppose to replace Roxas afterwards because the Organization just took whoever had more of "Sora power" in them
Xion goes to get Roxas and turns on him trying to take him with her since HE also has memories of Sora being Sora's nobody. Roxas is confused and doesn't accept himself coming from another person so he fights and defeats Xion. He thought she was doing evil at first. Later she tells him what is going on before her death. This "betraying" act from Xion is represented by Oblivion. What represents Riku is Way of Dawn and for Kairi, I think its HER keyblade.
hmmm, now that you mention it, Oathkeeper also represents Sora and Kairi's promise. But if anything the Oathkeeper and Oblivion came out of Roxas's hands first (story wise). Roxas, yes, comes from Sora and Sora's memories, being his nobody, but through his experiences and personal encounters, oathkeeper and oblivion came. He was also first to dual wield (thus, that is why Sora was later able to dual wield).
well it really depends if youre looking at it from sora's or roxas' view.Roxas it represents xion, but in kh1, you get oblivion after beating riku, and in 358/2 days, riku is the only one who can use oblivion(except roxas' oblivion/oathkeeper combo, but you get what i mean)
good point...as i said before like with sora, oathkeeper represents his and kairi's promise and with roxas it's with him and xion's promise. I think oathkeeper and oblivion is more, like, "belonging" to Roxas, IMO, but they represent multiple things.
she was trying to absorb him so that she could be the complete one thats what xemnas reprogrammed her to do, but xion was also trying to die on purpose also because she knew that roxas was becoming weak because she was getting stronger and she was just a puppet while roxas could actually become his own being, she knew roxas wasnt going to fight her so she had to make him do it
xemnas takes her in and after that scene she attacks roxas she tries to fulifill he orignal duty and that was to obsorb roxas so that the orgnization could have a complete keyblade weilder under their commnad
@marie90 Haha man your stupid, play the game before you assume things. Xion destroyed herself on purpose in order to give memories back to Sora, and fought Roxas to let Sora wake up completely,Xion was defeated and failed to give Sora his memories back. While Roxas tried to free Kingdom hearts,Roxas encountered Riku, which leads up to deep dive where Roxas dies. (then KH2 begins)
I already know that jackass, and for someone with such a name as "legostarwars" to be calling me stupid please, I played the game already and I know how it went down, i'm saying that xemnas did something to her to make her attack roxas like that during their final battle, I know that she was willing to sacrifice herself to help sora awaken, I dont need someone such as yourself to explain things to me especially things that I already know.
xemnas compelled her to absorb roxas, xion didnt actually want to do this she was going to let roxas absorb her, when xemnas took her away he reprogrammed her so that she could use the devices that he had set in wonderland, halloween town, and agrabah (the devices that he had roxas protect)
@legostarwars3111 no, remember those devises you see during the battle? those were set by the organization because of Xemnas' orders. He reprogramed her to fight Roxas to make a complete Sora but she fought that progaming and chose to die to save Roxas and get them both back to where they belong, with Sora.
@moonwalker261 Oblivion doesnt represent Xion,it represents darkness Riku was messing with. And oathkeeper isnt based on Roxas and Xion,it's based on the promise Sora made Kairi at the end of KH1
where is it i know it is In a chest in Hollow Bastion's Grand Hall but where is the grand hall i need it so bad the stupid boss (the boss is on my new kingdome harts vido) please reply. ps. nice pic of it 5/5
The grand hall is right before the large room of darkness where the keyhole is. Go up the left flight of stairs. When you get to the top, get on the ledge to your left and follow it around. The Oblivion is above the entrance to the room.
Oblivion is a great keyblade but I think what makes it so great is the one holding it. I mean, Roxas is just a pretty cool character, that's why Oathkeeper and Oblivion stand out so much. I still think Ultima is the best keyblade... because... well... it's the Ultimate keyblade... the names says it all.
oblivion is the best keyblade, period. it looks badass, its one of the 2 badass keyblades my favorite character roxas uses, and the way that it symbolizes the conflicting darkness part of roxas when combined with oathkeeper is just mind blowing. oblivion kicks MAJOR ass.
i think tis is this best one along with oathkeeper and my favorite too
